A. Scan DTM+ QR Code

EN: Remove the UbiGrid™ DTM+
sensor unit from the box and scan the
QR code on the unit using the UbiGrid
DTM+ installation app.
ES: Retire el DTM+ de la caja y escanee

EN: Identify the type and kVA rating of
the transformer on which you will be
installing the DTM+ and document it in
the installation app.

area with a dry cloth.

EN: Before attaching the DTM+ sensor
unit, identify the mounting location.
The DTM+ should be mounted halfway
between the secondaries and the lifting
lug on the side closest to the pressure
relief valve, near the top of the tank.

B. Attach the DTM+ Sensor Unit

EN: Remove the two red magnet
covers from the back of the DTM+.

EN: CAUTION: Be sure to keep the DTM+ away from any metallic
surfaces or objects once the magnet covers are removed.

EN: Orient the DTM+ so the end with
the single pin connector points toward
the top of the transformer tank.

tank in the mounting area identied and
cleaned in Step 2.

EN: If there is no primary Rogowski
cable, skip to Step 9 – Attach the
Waterproof Cap. Otherwise, continue
to Step 2 – Connect the Cable
Harness.

EN: On the DTM+ sensor unit, remove
the yellow dust cap from the pin
connector, which is marked with the
corresponding black ring and three dots.

EN: Place the primary Rogowski
cable connector onto the exposed pin
connector.

Mount the Rogowski Coil*

EN: The primary bushing is to have a
Rogowski coil mounted around it. If the
transformer has two primary bushings,
mount the Rogowski coil around the H1
bushing.

EN: Push in the primary Rogowski cable
connector. Once fully inserted, turn the
cable connector clockwise until it stops.
Gently tug on the cable connector to
ensure it is fully seated.

EN: Open the Rogowski coil and place it
around the base of the H1 bushing.

the yellow dust cap from the pin
connector marked with a black ring and
three dots.

EN: Connect the Rogowski coil ends
together: insert, then twist slightly until
locked. Gently tug on the Rogowski
connector to ensure it is fully seated.

slots in the cap with the tabs on the
connector.

EN: Push on and turn the waterproof
cap clockwise until it is completely
locked onto the pin connector. Gently
tug on the waterproof cap to ensure it is
fully seated.

EN: Remove any old sealant from the
pressure relief valve and apply 3-4
turns of the included Teon tape to the
threads of the pressure relief valve.

EN: Screw the pressure relief valve into
the female opening opposite the male
thread on the tee tting until hand-
tightened. Once hand-tightened, use a
wrench to tighten 2-3 full turns more.

from the transformer.

wrap the Teon tape clockwise
around the threads.

EN: Apply 3-4 turns of the included
Teon tape to the threads of the
pressure/temperature sensor.

EN: Screw the pressure/temperature
sensor into the remaining female
opening on the tee tting until hand-
tightened. Once hand-tightened, use a
wrench to tighten 2-3 full turns more.

EN: Install the assembled tee tting
into the pressure relief valve opening on
the transformer until hand-tightened.
Once hand-tightened, use a wrench to
tighten 2-3 full turns more. Stop when
the opening on the tee tting points
downward.

presión del transformador apretándolo

EN: CAUTION: Never loosen to achieve proper alignment. Loosening
installed pipe ttings can damage the seal and contribute to leakage and
seal failure.

connector onto the exposed pin
connector.

cable connector. Once fully inserted,
turn the cable connector clockwise

EN: The pressure/temperature sensor
cable is the cable closest to the tank
in the secondary Rogowski+ cable
harness. If there is no pressure/
temperature sensor skip to Step 9 -
Mount the Rogowski Coils. Otherwise,
continue to Step 6.
