RegulatorandHose
UseonlyregulatorandhoseapprovedforLPGasattheabovepressures.Thelifeexpectancyofthe
regulatorisestimatedas10years.Itisrecommendedthattheregulatorischangedwithin10yearsof
thedateofmanufacture.
Theuseofwrongregulatororhoseisunsafe;alwayscheckthatyouhavethecorrectitems
beforeoperatingthebarbecue.
Thehoseusedmustconformtotherelevantstandardforthecountryofuse.Thelengthofthehosemustbe
0.7meters(minimum)and1.5meters(maximum).Wornordamagedhosemustbereplaced.Ensurethatthe
hoseisnotobstructed,kinked,orincontactwithanypartofthebarbecueotherthanatitsconnection.Itis
recommendedthatthehoseischangedwithin1yearofthedateofmanufacture.
StorageofAppliance
Storageofanapplianceindoorsisonlypermissibleifthecylinderisdisconnectedandremovedfromthe
appliance.Whentheapplianceisnottobeusedforaperiodoftimeitshouldbestoredinitsoriginal
packagingandstoredinadrydustfreeenvironment.
GasCylinder
Thegascylindershouldnotbedroppedorhandledroughly!Iftheapplianceisnotinuse,thecylindermustbe
disconnected.Replacetheprotectivecaponthecylinderafterdisconnectingthecylinderfromtheappliance.
Cylindersmustbestoredoutdoorsinanuprightpositionandoutofthereachofchildren.Thecylindermust
neverbestoredwheretemperaturescanreachover50°C.Donotstorethecylindernearflames,pilotlights
orothersourcesofignition.DONOTSMOKEwhileusing.

ConnectiontoAppliance
Beforeconnection,ensurethatthereisnodebriscaughtintheheadofthegascylinder,regulator,burnerand
burnerparts.
Spidersandinsectscannestwithinandclogtheburnertubes.Acloggedburnercanleadtoafirebeneath
theappliance.
Cleanburnerholeswithaheavy‐dutypipecleaner.
Fitthehosetotheapplianceusingaspannertotightenitontotheconnectionthread.Ifthehoseisreplaced
itmustbesecuredtotheapplianceandregulatorconnectionswithhoseclips.Disconnecttheregulatorfrom
thecylinder(accordingtothedirectionssuppliedwiththeregulator)whenthebarbecueisnotinuse.
TheBarbecuemustbeusedinawell‐ventilatedarea.Donotobstructtheflowofcombustionairtothe
burnerwhenthebarbecueisinuse.ONLYUSETHISBARBECUEOUTDOORS.
BEFOREUSECHECKFORLEAKS
Nevercheckforleakswithanakedflame,alwaysuseasoapywatersolution
ToCheckforLeaks
Make2‐3fluidouncesofleakdetectingsolutionbymixingonepartwashingupliquidwith3partswater.
Ensurethecontrolvalveis“OFF”.
ConnecttheregulatortothecylinderandON/OFFvalvetotheburner,ensuretheconnectionsaresecurethen
turnONthegas.
Brushthesoapysolutionontothehoseandalljoints.Ifbubblesappearyouhavealeak,whichmustbe
rectifiedbeforeuse.
Retestafterfixingthefault.TurnOFFthegasatthecylinderaftertesting.
Ifleakageisdetectedandcannotberectified,DOnotattempttocureleakagebutconsultyourgasdealer.

LIGHTINGYOURBARBECUE
Thisbarbecueisdesignedforuseoutdoors,awayfromanyflammablematerials.Itisimportantthatthere
arenooverheadobstructionsandthatthereisaminimumdistanceof1mfromthesideorrearofthe
appliance.Itisimportantthattheventilationopeningsoftheappliancearenotobstructed.Thebarbecue
mustbeusedonalevel,stable,non‐flammablesurface.Theapplianceshouldbeprotectedfromdirect
draughtsandshallbepositionedorprotectedagainstdirectpenetrationbyanytricklingwater(e.g.rain).Parts
sealedbythemanufacturerorhisagentmustnotbealteredbytheuser.Nomodificationsshouldbemade
toanypartofthisbarbecueandrepairsandmaintenanceshouldonlybecarriedoutbyaregisteredservice
engineer.

LightingInstructions:
1. Readinstructionbeforelighting.
2. OpenthelidandmakesurealltheknobsareontheOFFposition.
3. Connecttheregulatortothegasbottle.Turnthegassupply“ON”atthecylinder.Checkwiththeuseof
soapywaterforanygasleakagebetweenthebottleandtheregulator.
4. PushdownandturntheknobanticlockwisetoHIGHposition(aclickingsoundisheard).Thusthe
burnercouldbelit.Iftheburnerdoesnotlight,repeatthisprocess.
5. AdjusttheheatbyturningtheknobtotheHigh/Lowposition.
6. Tolightupotherburners,repeatthesameprocessfortheadjacentburnerandcontinueinsequence
untilalltheburnersarelit.
7. ToturnerthebarbecueOFFturnthecylindervalveorregulatorswitchtothe“OFF”positionandthen
turnallofthecontrolknobsontheapplianceclockwisetothe“OFF”position.
1.Neverlightorusethesideburnerwiththesideburnerlidintheclosedposition.
2.Neverattempttothelightthesideburnerwithapotovertheburner.Lightthe
burnerfirst,andthenplacethepotovertheburner.
3.Thesideburnerisdesignedforpotswithadiameterof60‐260mm.
4.Sideburnerlidcannotbeusedasworktable,donotputanythingonthesideburner
lidevenwhenitisnotinuse.
5.Donotusethebackburnerwithotherburnersatthesametime.
Ifanyburnerfailstoignite,turnthecontrolknoboff(clockwise)andalsoturnthecylindervalveoff.Wait
fiveminutesbeforeattemptingtorelightwithignitionsequence.Neverusethesideburnerwiththelidinthe
closedposition.Neverattempttolightthesideburnerwithapotovertheburner.Lighttheburnerfirst,and
thenplacethepotovertheburner.
Beforecookingforthefirsttime,operatethebarbecueforabout15minuteswiththelidclosedandthegas
turnedonHIGH.Thiswill“heatclean”theinternalpartsanddissipateodourfromthepaintedfinish.(The
colourofcookingareamaychangealittle.Thisisnormalanditisthenatureofmaterial)
CleanyourbarbecueaftereachUSE.DONOTuseabrasiveorflammablecleaners,asitwilldamagetheparts
oftheproductandmaystartafire.Cleaninwarmsoapywater.

AbnormalOperation
Anyofthefollowingareconsideredtobeabnormaloperationandmayrequireservicing:
‐Yellowtippingoftheburnerflame.
‐Sootingupofgrillplates.
‐Burnersnotignitingproperly.
‐Burnersfailingtoremainalight.
‐Burnersextinguishedbytrolleydoors.
‐Gasvalves,whicharedifficulttoturn.
CLEANINGANDCARE
This
appliance
should
be
checked
and
serviced
by
an
authorized
service
person
every
year
to
ensure
theappliance
remains
in
a
safe
operation
condition.
Allcleaningandmaintenanceshouldbecarriedoutwhenthebarbecueiscoolandwiththefuel
supplyturnedOFFatthegascylinder.DONOTremovethedriptrayuntiltheBBQhascooled.
GeneralGrillCleaning
● DONOTmistakebrownorblackaccumulationofgreaseandsmokeforpaint.Interiorsofgasgrillsarenot
paintedatthefactory(andshouldNEVERbepainted).Applyastrongsolutionofdetergentandwateror
useagrillcleanerwithscrubbrushoninsidesofgrilllidandbottom.Rinseandallowtocompletelyairdry.
DONOTapplyacausticgrill/ovencleanertopaintedsurfaces.
● Plasticparts:washwithwarmsoapywaterandwipedry.
● DONOTuseabrasivecleaners,degreasersoraconcentratedgrillcleaneronplasticparts.Damagetoand
failureofpartscanresult.
● Porcelainsurfaces:becauseofglass‐likecomposition,mostresiduecanbewipedawaywithbackingsoda/
watersolutionorspeciallyformulatedcleaner.Usenonabrasivesourcingpowderforstubbornstains.
● Paintedsurfaces:washwithmilddetergentornonabrasivecleanerandwarmsoapywater.Wipedrywitha
softnonabrasivecloth.
● Stainlesssteelsurfaces:Tomaintainyourgrill’shighqualityappearance,washwithmilddetergentand
warmsoapywaterandwipedrywithasoftnonabrasiveclothaftereachuse.Backed‐ongreasedeposits
mayrequiretheuseofanabrasiveplasticcleaningpad.
