Warning!!
WARNING!!
Introduction
1. Persons suffering from asthma or allergenic sensitivity may experience irritation, discomfort or allergic
symptoms when exposed to fog effects.
2. Use Ultratec Special Effects fluid ONLY.
Important Safety Instructions:
WARNING!!
1. Ensure that any operation of the machine is supervised by suitably trained and authorized personnel.
2. Allow sufficient air circulation around the machine at all times.
3. Only use fluids manufactured by Ultratec Special Effects.
4. Do not continue to produce fog when visibility is reduced to 20” 50cm or below.
5. Ensure that adequate exhausting arrangements are available in the event of an emergency.
6. Fog effects will trigger smoke alarms and detectors. Please take suitable precautions to prevent
false alarms.
7. Ensure sufficient air exchange vs. CO2 released.
CO2 is heavier than air and will pool in higher concentrations in lower lying areas like orchestra
pits and below stage.
WARNING!!
Safety Precautions
The Fog Curtain is your solution for a large reveal or a unique medium to project images or lighting on.
The Fog Curtain is designed to be used in conjunction with the Eclipse Low Fog Generator.
The Liquid CO2 conditioned fog effect can fall from heights of up to 30´ and depending on the number of Eclipse
systems used, the length of the curtain is almost limitless.
A single Eclipse system will allow up to a 6-meter (20 feet) length of fog curtain.
This effect has been successfully utilized on cruise ships, casinos, theme parks and stages around the world.

CLF-2956 Non-insulated 10" Hose 25' w/10" Hose Clamp
The Non-insulated 10" Hose is easy to deploy and stow for quick low fog cues, or
where the installation is temporary, such as touring.
CLF-9033 10" Flex to Rigid Adapter
The 10" Flex to Rigid Adapter allows the mating together of 10” flexible hose to the
10” Fog Curtain Pipe or any rigid fitting.
CLF-9035 10" Tee
The 10” is comprised of a straight run with a 90 degree branch.
CLF-9036 10" 90* Elbow
Long radius 90* elbow
CLF-9038 10" Fog Curtain Pipe (10' Length w/Holes)
The 10" Fog Curtain Pipe is the heart of the fog curtain system. The fog curtain pipe,
with its airflow straighteners, creates a spectacular curtain of brilliant white fog when
coupled with the Eclipse Low Fog Generator.
CLF-2957 Flex Hose Adapter S.S.
Used to quickly connect a flex hose to our legacy low fog generator.

10” Automatic Round Damper
CLF-2985 10" Automatic Round Damper (ARD) 110V
CLF-2986 10" Automatic Round Damper (ARD) 220V
The 10” Automatic Round Damper (ARD) is an inline damper that will open or close
to allow or prevent fog from flowing down a run of 10” ducting. See ARD Manual
for complete operating instructions. 10" Automatic Round Damper
CLF-9040 10" Fog Curtain Coupler
Are these the plastic clamshell type??
CLF-9039 10" Rigid Pipe (10' Length)
The 10" Rigid Pipe is ideal for long runs or permanent installations as it creates less
internal turbulence than the flexible 10” hose. It can be easily cut to length for
installation with a reciprocating saw.
10" Rigid Pipe (10' Length)
CLF9045 Fog Curtain Metal Bracket
The Fog Curtain Metal Bracket acts as a coupler to join 2 10" rigid pieces together,
and as a point to hang the fog curtain from (additional field supplied hardware is
necessary).
For a more rigid connection a CLF9032 4 1/2" Sleeve can be used in conjunction to
stiffen the joint.
A CXP4088 – Fog Curtain Foam Gasket may be required if fog leakage at the joint
happens (sold Separately)
CLF9050 Fog Curtain End Plate Plastic
The Fog Curtain End Plate Plastic is used to terminate the run on any 10" rigid piece.
A CXP4088 – Fog Curtain Foam Gasket is included to minimize leakage at the
connection.

Fog Curtain Design Example
Below is a simple example of a fog curtain layout. The key to this design, and any design where the low fog
is ducted above the source, is the 10" ARD (10" Automatic Round Damper ) and the 10" Tee. This
configuration allows a path for any fog returning down the pipe to exit the 10" Tee and not flow back
through the eclipse and fog machine when the low fog cue is ended.
While the fog cue is running the 10" ARD is in the closed position, directing the low fog to the fog curtain.
When the fog cue ends, open the ARD and allow the fog to flow out of the Tee and ARD. This will help
prevent fog from traveling back into the Eclipse and ultimately through the fog machine and condensing on
the electronic components.
Design Considerations
Some residue is expected to condense inside the piping during normal operation. Some design
considerations can help manage the residue.
ŸUse stainless steel fasteners to reduce oxidization (rusting)
ŸSlope tubing/pipe slightly to encourage any residue to collect at the lowest point.
ŸAdd a condensate drain and collection setup to manage residue collection.
