PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE INSTALLATION
The UA series of wireless devices represents the latest development in surface mount technology and design. Without the
need for wiring, water detection can now be placed almost anywhere it is needed. The UAD·300 auto-dialer receiver uses the
latest EEPROM computer technology, incorporated into an easy to install, attractive and functional package. The UAT1000
universal transmitter/sensor combination represents a significant breakthrough in sensing technology. With this unique
Patent-Pending circuit and its compact size the UAT1000 is easy to install, and requires very little maintenance. Sump pumps,
water heaters, washing machines, boats, basements, crawl spaces, aquariums.... the applications are endless.
You will find the following items in your new Water Alarm monitoring system package.
●One UAD-300 auto-dialer/ receiver with adapter and 9 volt rechargeable battery
●One UAT·1000 universal transmitter c/w battery
●One 36" remote sensor
●One 6 foot telephone cable and one ‘Y” Splitter
●One table mounting bracket
●One set wall mounting hardware
Please make yourself familiar with the UAD300 before installing. Failure to do so can result in poor performance, false alarms and
possible damage to the system.
QUICK TEST INSTRUCTIONS.
Your UAD300 has been pretested at the factory. The UATWS1000 transmitter has been programmed and the battery installed. To
quickly test the system - Press TEST on the UAD·300 , Press (9) on the UAD·300 and Press TEST on the UAD·300 again. You
will hear one (1) long beep, and the green LED will flash. Touch the silver strips on the sensor with a damp cloth or finger and the
console will activate the siren. Press the CLR button and the console will reset. The console has now learned the UATWS1000
transmitter and is ready for use. This is a good time to move the UATWS1000 transmitter and console to their final location and
testing them again to be certain the radio signal will travel that distance. Once this is proven and you are confident it is working
properly you may then follow the instructions below to program the phone numbers and alarm message.
Trouble Shooting
Most problems experienced with this system are battery related. The battery used should measure 12 Volts using a volt meter. It is
helpful sometimes to clean the ends of a new battery with rubbing alcohol or even sanding them very lightly with a very fine sand
paper. Spinning the battery in the holder can also help it seat properly. When a good battery is installed the console should alarm
each time that you touch the two pin sockets on the transmitter. Now insert the water sensor plug into the pin jacks on the
transmitter and touch the silver water sensor pad which should again trigger the console. If the console alarms immediately upon
plugging the sensor in there may be oxidation on the silver sensor pad. Carefully clean the silver pad with rubbing alcohol and dry.
Occasionally oxidation builds up around the white striped wire solder connection on the pad (this is on the side that connects the
“uncle alberts water alarm” silver letters to the wire). This oxidation may be easily removed by carefully scraping with a fine
screwdriver. Once clean the console should alarm reliably each time that you touch the pad across the foil connections. Remember
that this system was designed to be very sensitive, so the smallest amount of moisture will trip the alarm. If the water sensor is to
be used to detect rising water such as a sump pit the foil pad may be cut off and ¼” of insulation stripped from the wire ends. The
wire ends may then be used to detect water by hanging them in the sump well above the water. The wire ends should be spread
½” or more apart to reduce the possibility of false alarms.
The UAD·300 Auto-Dialer Receiver:
1Green LED: This LED goes "ON" to indicate that the unit has power. When the UAD·300 is in the "TEST" mode or the
"LEARNING" mode, this LED will flash.
2Red LED: When the UAD·300 receives an alarm signal this LED will go "ON", the UAD·300 will start to dial, and this LED will
flash after the call has been answered.
3Yellow LED: This LED is "ON" when you record a message, or if you play back a message. During installation this LED will
flash, indicating that no numbers or messages are stored in the UAD·300.
4Key Pad: Allows you to program numbers and messages into the UAD·300.
5Microphone: Speak here to record your messages
6DC 12 Volt Jack: To plug in the NC Adapter.
7Phone Jack: This connects the UAD·300 to your phone line.
8Speaker Switch: This switch is located under the battery cover
on the UAD·300. II allows you to turn the internal speaker on and
off (see step 3; UAD·300 Auto Dialer Installation).
9Auxiliary Outputs: These are for external options.

UAD·300 Auto Dialer Installation
1. Find a suitable location for the UAD·300 Auto Dialer
●You will need a telephone jack within range of the UAD·300
●You will need a 117 VAC wall outlet within range of the UAD·300
●The UAD·300 should be centrally located in your home or business (ie the kitchen, or office)
2. Remove the back battery cover on the UAD·300, Install the rechargeable 9 volt battery (included)
The UAD·300 will dial for 3.5 hours in the event of a power failure. NOTE: IT TAKES A FULL 36 HOURS TO CHARGE THE
BATTERY.
3. Choose speaker option, you will notice a small slide switch in the battery compartment.
●“ON” The built in speaker will be turned on to play your emergency message
●“OFF” The built In speaker will be turned off
4. Replace the battery cover on the UAD·300
5. Choose your mounting option
For table top mounting:
Position the table bracket onto the back of the UAD·300
as shown below, then slowly lift the bracket forward.
For wall mounting:
Using the wall mounting bracket as a template, mark the two holes as locations for the mounting bracket.
1Drill two 15/64'" holes at marks
2Place the included dowels into the two holes
3Use the included screws to mount the bracket.
4Hang the UAD·300 on the bracket
NOTE: You may also use the double sided foam tape
6. Plug the UAD·300 power adapter into the wall outlet, then plug the cord of the adapter into the "DC 12 V" jack.
NOTE: You will hear a beep sound and the green © LED will light, and the yellow LED will flash
7. Plug the UAD·300 into a phone Jack, using the 6 foot phone cable (included)
NOTE: If you are using a phone jack that already has a phone plugged into it:
●Disconnect your existing telephone from the wall jack
●Plug the "Y' adapter into the telephone jack on the UAD·300 (included)
●Plug your existing telephone into the "Y" Jack marked "PHONE",
●Using the 6 foot cable, plug the "Y" adapter jack marked "LINE" into the wall jack,
Congratulations! You have successfully installed the UAD·300.
NOTE: Each transmitter has the battery and sensor pad installed at the factory. Each transmitter is also tested at the
factory so the following instructions are for advanced programming only.
UAT·1000 Transmitter Set-up I Programming
Programming the UAT-1000 transmitters (done at the factory)
With the back still removed, locate the 12 position code switch. These switches allow you to choose which area you wish to monitor,
and which message the UAD-300 Auto-Dialer will play when activated.
NOTE: Switches 1 and 9 are not used, and should be left in the "OFF" position. Switches 2 through 8 are not used, and should
be left in the "ON" position.
Switches 10 -11 -12 will select which message the UAD-300 will play when activated.

· Switch 10 “ON” = # 1on the UAD·300.
· Switch 11 “ON” = #2on the UAD·300.
· Switch 12 “ON” = # 3on the UAD·300.
Set the switch "ON" for the message you want played.
NOTE: Whichever switch is set in the "ON" position, the two remaining switches must be turned "OFF".
Example: Switch 11 "ON", Switches 10 and 12 "OFF", the UAD· 300 will play Message #2 when activated. (see Recording and Erasing
Messages)
Repeat this for each extra UAT·1000 transmitter being used
Replace back cover on UAT·1000 and replace screw.
Learning Mode: UAT-100 to UAD-300
The following procedure will allow your UAT·1000 transmitter to communicate to your UAD·300 auto-dialer.
1Press TEST on the UAD·300
2Press (9) on the UAD·300
3Press TEST on the UAD·300, you will hear one (1) long beep, and the green LED will flash
4. Touch the two contacts on the front of the UAT·1000 transmitter or across the silver sections of the sensor pad (you might have to
wet your finger), you will hear one (1) short beep, and the green LED will glow steadily.
5. Press CLR on the UAD-300.
6. Repeat this procedure for any additional UAT·1000 transmitters
Connecting the Remote Sensor
• Plug the molded end plug of the remote sensor into the two (2)
contacts on the front of the UAT·1000.
Mounting UAT·1000 Transmitter/Sensor
NOTE: Every home and business is going to be different, there are a few things to keep in mind when installing your transmitters:
●The UAT·1000 is not waterproof, it must be mounted in a dry area.
●The sensing pad circuit board must be placed in an area where it will come in contact with
UNWANTED water (ie: the lowest point on the laundry room floor, close to a basement drain,
or the top of a sump pump pit) If false alarms become a problem in a high humidity area it might
be necessary to cut the silver pad off and use bared wire ends as the sensor.
●You can use as many UAT·1000s as needed to monitor an area.
●AS WITH ALL RADIO FREQUENCY DEVICES, TRANSMISSION
RANGE AND RECEPTION MAY VARY.
Mounting for Sump pump:
1. Using a cable tie, mount the circuit board pick-up to the sump outlet pipe.
Place it at a level just below the basement floor.
2 Using a cable tie, mount the UAT·1000 transmitter to the
sump outlet pipe, pull all of the slack out of the remote sensor cable
3. Cable tie the remote sensor cable to the sump outlet pipe
If false alarms become a problem in a high humidity area it might
be necessary to cut the silver pad off and use bared wire
ends as the sensor.
Mounting for washing machine:
1. Using a cable tie, mount the UAT·1000 transmitter to one
of the washer hoses.
2. Place the circuit board pick-up on the floor behind the washer.

Once you've installed your UAT-1000 transmitter and remote sensor, test the system.
Refer to the RANGE TEST section. NOTE: This test will require two people to perform.
Repeat this test procedure for any additional UAT·1000 transmitters
When they receive a call:
When the recipient receives the emergency call they will have to acknowledge the call. This acknowledgment will tell the UAD·300 that
(a) they can address the problem; or (b) they are unable to address the problem. In the event they cannot help, the system will need to
call the next programmed number. UP TO 6 NUMBERS MAY BE ENTERED. (see Emergency Phone Numbers).
1. If the recipient presses "0" on their phone keypad, the UAD-300 will go back on line and dial your second programmed number. It will
dial until two (2) calls have been acknowledged.
2. If the recipient presses "9" on their phone keypad, the UAD·300 will STOP DIALING.
NOTE: Once one emergency call has been answered the Red +LED Will begin flashing. The UAD·300 will continue to dial the
number(s) until two (2) emergency calls are successfully answered or a signal "9" of acknowledgment has been received.
Storing Emergency Phone Numbers
The UAD·300 can dial normal voice numbers with or without an extension, digital pagers, and cell phones. The numbers can be up to
20 digits in length. NOTE: All numbers and characters (*, #) count as a digit. You can store up to 6 phone numbers in the UAD·300s
memory, the numbers can be stored in a Priority dialing order EXAMPLE. The phone number stored as a (1) will be dialed first, the
number stored as a (2) will be dialed second, and so on.
NOTE: If your telephone system requires an initial digit to access an outside line, (example 9) insert that digit followed by the star key
before the telephone number in the steps below. This reduces the number of digits available for the phone numbers to 18.
Storing a Normal Voice Number or Cell Phone
1Press SET on the UAD·300
2Key in the number (1) on the UAD·300·
3Key in the phone number you want the UAD·300 to call (up to 20 digits)
4Press SET on the UAD·300
5Repeat the above procedure for each number you want the UAD·300 to call
The UAD-300 will call up to 6 different telephone numbers, Enter the phone numbers in the priority you want the UAD·300 to call.
Example: The first person you want the UAD·300 to call is your Neighbor you would key in (1) in step 2, and their phone number in step
3. The second person you want the UAD·300 to call is your Plumber. You would key in (2) in step 2 and their phone number in step 3.
NOTE: Make sure the recipient of any calls knows about your Water Alarm.
Storing a Normal Voice Number with an Extension:
1Press SET on the UAD-300
2Key in the priority number on the UAD·300 (refer to the previous section)
3Key in the phone number you want the UAD·300 to call (up to 20 digits)
4Press (*) on the UAD·300
5Key in the extension number on the UAD·300
6Press SET on the UAD·300
Storing a Digital Pager Number:
1Press SET on the UAD·300
2Key in the priority number on the UAD·300 (refer to the storing a normal voice number section)
3Key In the pager number on the UAD·300 (up to 20 digits)
4Press (#) on the UAD·300
5Key in a 3·digit identity code on the UAD·300 NOTE: This code will appear on the pagers display and the recipient MUST be
made aware of this code so they can respond to the call!
6Press (#) on the UAD·300 7 Press SET on the UAD·300
Canceling a Telephone Number:
1Press SET on the UAD·300
2Key in the priority number you wish to cancel on the UAD·300 (refer to the Storing a Normal Voice Number section)
3Press CLR on the UAD·300

Recording and Erasing messages
The UAD·300 has a total recording capacity of 20 seconds. The messages are stored on a EEPROM computer chip, they will not be
lost in the event of a power failure. The UAD-300 can monitor up to three separate areas, and output three separate messages.
EXAMPLE: You have a sensor on your hot water heater, and it develops a leak. You want the UAD·300 to call your plumber, so you
want message number one to say: ..Hi This is Bill Smith my water heater is leaking!
You have a sensor on your washing machine, and it develops a leak. You want the UAD·300 to call your neighbor, so you want
message number two to say ..Hi It's Bill from next door, I'm on vacation please check my washer.
NOTE: ADVISE ANYONE THAT THE UAD-300 IS PROGRAMMED TO CALL. MAKE SURE THEY HAVE INSTRUCTIONS ON WHAT
TO DO IN THE EVENT YOU HAVE A WATER PROBLEM
Recording a Message:
1Press REC on the UAD·300
2Press 1, 2 or 3 on the UAD·300 (To indicate which message)
3Press REC on the UAD300. You will hear a long beep and the yellow LED will come on
4Record your message
5Press SET on the UAD300
6Repeat the above procedure for each message
NOTE: If you exceed the 20·second limit, the yellow LED will go off and the recording will automatically stop.
NOTE: If in step 3 you hear 4 short beeps, and the yellow LED fails to light, there are already messages in the memory. You will have
to erase any old messages to make room for new ones. Follow the procedure below to erase existing messages.
NOTE: Should you make a mistake and need to re-record the message(s) you will need to erase and re-record all messages.
Erasing the Message(s):
1Press REC on the UAD·300
2Press (0) on the UAD·300
3Press REC on the UAD-300 All messages are now erased
Playing Back the Recorded Messages:
1Press TEST on the UAD·300
2Press (0) on the UAD·300
The UAD·300 will play the message(s) 4 times. If more than one message is recorded, the messages will play in their recorded order.
NOTE: The internal speaker must be turned on to hear the messages. Speaker Option:
1Remove the back battery cover on the UAD·300
2You will notice a small slide switch in the battery compartment.
• "ON" The speaker will be on
• "OFF" The speaker will be off
3Replace battery cover
NOTE: The speaker is the only way to hear the UAD·300 in the event you have a water problem and you are HOME. The manufacturer
recommends you leave the speaker on at all times.
Automatic re-dial
When only one number is stored into the UAD·300 and that number is busy, or no acknowledgment has been received ("0" or "9"), the
UAD-300 will automatically re-dial that number up to five (5) times with a 62-second pause between attempts. When more than one
number is stored, the UAD-300 will dial in a priority sequence (see Storing Emergency Phone Numbers). If the number being dialed is
busy or no acknowledgment has been received ("0" or "9"), it will dial the next number and so on. Each number will be tried five (5)
times and the re-dial interval between each number is 35 seconds.
NOTE: If you do not have a number stored or an emergency message recorded, the UAD-300 will only sound a beep. IT WILL NOT
DIAL!

Alarm sequence
When the UAD·300 receives a signal from the UAT·1000 transmitter indicating a water problem
●The Red + LED will light
●A warning beep will sound for 3 minutes.
●At the same time, the UAD-300 will dial the emergency phone number(s) according to the priority set
●After dialing, the UAD·300 will start to play the appropriate message after 5 seconds.
●The recipient answers the call presses the appropriate acknowledgment number ("0" or a "9") on their phone keypad
●The UAD-300, while playing the message, will listen for the acknowledgment
●If the UAD·300 doesn’t receive the acknowledgment, it will the message for 80 seconds,
●The UAD·300 Will then hang up and consider the call unanswered. It will then call the next priority number
Dialing Test
NOTE: Make sure the recipient of the call is ready for this test and understands how to acknowledge the call.
1Press TEST on the UAD-300.
2Key in the priority number on the UAD·300. (see Storing Emergency Phone Numbers)
The UAD·300 will immediately dial the number. When the recipient answers, the UAD·300 will automatically play the message(s) 4
times following the sequence of the messages recorded (ie. 1·2·3, 1·2·3 etc,) If you have three messages programmed into the
UAD·300 (see Recording and Erasing Messages), the recipient presses the acknowledgment number ("0" or "9") on their phone
keypad, the UAD·300 will sound two short beeps and the Red + LED will flash to Indicate the test was successful
1Press CLR on the UAD-300 to stop the test
2Repeat this test with each of the programmed numbers.

This product is warranted by Uncle Albert's, LLC against manufacturing defects In materials and workmanship under normal use for one
(1) year from the date of purchase, EXCEPT AS PROVIDED HEREIN, Uncle Albert's, LLC MAKES NO EXPRESS WARRANTIES AND
ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING THOSE OF MERCHANTABILITY AND FITNESS FORA PARTICULAR PURPOSE, ARE
LIMITED IN DURATION TO THE DURATION OF THE WRITTEN LIMITED WARRANTIES CONTAINED HEREIN. EXCEPT AS
PROVIDED HEREIN, Uncle Albert's, LLC SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY OR RESPONSIBILITY TO CUSTOMER OR ANY OTHER
PERSON OR ENTITY WITH RESPECT TO ANY LIABILITY, LOSS OR DAMAGE CAUSED DIRECTLY OR INDIRECTLY BY USE OR

during the warranty period, take the product and your sales receipt as proof of purchase date to the place of purchase. Uncle Albert's,
LLC Will, at its option, unless otherwise provided by law: (a) correct the defect by product repair without charge for parts and labor; (b)
replace the product with one of the same or similar design. All the parts and products, become the property of Uncle Albert's, LLC. New
or reconditioned parts and products may be used in the performance of warranty service. Repaired or replaced parts and products are
warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period. You may be charged for the repair or replacement of the product made
after the expiration of the warranty period. This warranty does not cover (a) damage or failure caused by or attributable to acts of God,
abuse, accident, misuse, improper or abnormal usage, failure to follow instructions, improper Installation or maintenance, alteration,
lightning or other Incidence of excess voltage or current; (b) any repairs other than those provided by Uncle Albert's, LLC consumables
such as fuses or batteries; (d) cosmetic damage; (e) transportation, shipping or insurance costs; or (n cost of product removal,
installation, set-up service adjustment or reinstallation. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights.
