Instructions for installation on transformer,
thermometer with 2 change over contacts
1) Installation of thermometer on transformer
Install the thermometer on the upper part of the transformer using three screws. The thermometer can be
placed on any suitable spot within the range of the distance wire. The thermometer can also be placed on a
wall or on the enclosure -if provided with such.

2) Installing the sensor in the duct of
the winding on the low voltage side
IMPORTANT! The following installation is only to be
excecuted when the transformer is disconnected.
The sensor of the thermometer must be placed in
the duct of the winding on the low voltage side (LV).
The sensor must ABSOLUTELY NOT be placed
in the primary winding (HV), or in the duct
between the primary and secondary winding!
Insert the Nomex tube with the opening facing up.
The tube must be fixed in place by the use of
silicone. Then insert the sensor of the thermometer
into the Nomex tube. The sensor is usually placed
for reading the temperature in the centre winding.
3) Connection of the thermometer to
a marshalling box or a terminal board
When the thermometer and the sensor are in place,
the cables must be connected to the marshalling box
or the terminal board.
There are seven cables to be connected;
green, yellow and grey are for alarm,
brown, blue and black are for trip intervention
and yellow/green is for ground connection.
