0.1 EXPLANATION OF SAFETY MESSAGES
Precautionarystatements[“DANGER,”“WARNING,”and“CAUTION”],followedbyspecicinstructions,arefoundinthis
manual and on decals on the washer. These precautions are intended for the personal safety of the operator, user, servicer
and those maintaining the machine.
DANGER
Indicates an imminently hazardous situation that, if not avoided, will
cause severe personal injury or death.
WARNING
Indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, could cause
severe personal injury or death.
CAUTION
Indicates a hazardous situation that, if not avoided, may cause minor
or moderate personal injury or property damage.

IMPORTANT: The word “IMPORTANT” is used to inform the reader of specic procedures where minor machine
damage will occur if the procedure is not followed.

0.2 IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
WARNING
To reduce the risk of re, electric shock, serious injury or death to
persons when using your washer, follow these basic precautions:
1. The actions described in these instructions are strictly reserved for personnel who have successfully completed training by
UNITY LAUNDRY SYSTEMS.
2. The company responsible for the Authorized Technical Service accepts full liability for the work done and any possible
consequences that may derive from it.
3. Any actions carried out by personnel who are not authorized by the manufacturer will be considered to be improper and will
resultintheautomaticvoidingofthemachine’swarranty.
4. The manufacturer will not accept responsibility for any physical and/or material damage caused by actions performed on the
machine undertaken by unauthorized personnel.
5. Do not store or install the machine in areas exposed to the ELEMENTS or where it may be splashed by water.

6. The room where the machine is located MUST comply with the environmental conditions (air venting, temperature, humidity,
etc.)speciedinthetechnicalspecicationstable.NEVERINSTALLTHEMACHINEINENVIRONMENTSwhereitwillbe
splashed with water or where there is a very high level of humidity in the atmosphere.
7. Install the washer according the INSTALLATION instructions. All connections for water, drain, electrical power and grounding
must comply with local codes and be made by licensed personnel when required. It is recommended that the machine be
installedbyqualiedtechnicians.
8. Topreventreandexplosion,keeptheareaaroundmachinefreefromammableandcombustibleproducts.Donotaddthe
following substances or textiles containing traces of the following substances to the wash water: gasoline, kerosene, waxes,
cookingoils,vegetableoils,machineoils,dry-cleaningsolvents,ammablechemicals,thinners,orotherammableor
explosivesubstances.Thesesubstancesgiveoffvaporsthatcouldignite,explodeorcausethefabrictocatchrebyitself.
9. Under certain conditions, hydrogen gas may be produced in a hot water system that has not been used for two weeks
ormore.HYDROGENGASISEXPLOSIVE.Ifthehotwatersystemhasnotbeenusedforsuchaperiod,beforeusinga
washingmachineturnonallhotwaterfaucetsandletthewaterowfromeachforseveralminutes.Thiswillreleaseany
accumulatedhydrogengas.Thegasisammable,donotsmokeoruseanopenameduringthistime.
10. Never operate the washer with any guards, panels and/or parts removed or broken. DO NOT bypass any safety devices or
tamper with the controls.
11. Use washer only for its intended purpose, washing textiles. Never wash machine parts or automotive parts in the machine.
This could result in serious damage to the basket or tub.
12. Use only low-sudsing, no-foaming types of commercial detergent. Be aware that hazardous chemicals may be present.
Wearhandandeyeprotectionwhenaddingdetergentsandchemicals.Alwaysreadandfollowmanufacturer’sinstructions
onpackagesoflaundryandcleaningaids.Heedallwarningsorprecautions.Toreducetheriskofpoisoningorchemical
burns, keep them out of the reach of children at all times [preferably in a locked cabinet].
13. Always follow the fabric care instructions supplied by the textile manufacturer.
14.LoadingdoorMUSTBECLOSEDanytimethewasheristoll,tumbleorspin.DONOTbypasstheloadingdoorswitchby
permitting the washer to operate with the loading door open. Do not attempt to open the door until the washer has drained
and all moving parts have stopped.
15.Beawarethatcoldwaterisusedtoushthesoapdispenser.Avoidopeningthedispenserlidwhilethemachineisrunning.
16.Donotattachanythingtothesupplydispenser’snozzles.Theairgapmustbemaintained.
17. Do not operate the machine without the water reuse plug or water reuse system in place, if applicable.
18.Besurewaterconnectionshaveashut-offvalveandthatllallhoseconnectionsaretight.
19. Keep washer in good condition. Bumping or dropping the washer can damage safety features. If this occurs, have washer
checkedbyaqualiedserviceperson.
20. Before servicing the machine, ensure that lockout and tag out procedures are in place for both electrical and water
connections.
21.Donotrepairorreplaceanypartofthewasher,orattemptanyservicingunlessspecicallyrecommendedintheuser-
maintenance instructions or in published user-repair instructions.
22.Toreducetheriskofanelectricshockorre,DONOTuseanextensioncordoranadaptertoconnectthewashertothe
electrical power source.
23. Do not allow children to play on or in the washer. Close supervision of children is necessary when the washer is used near
children.Thisapplianceisnotintendedforusebyyoungchildrenorinrmpersonswithoutsupervision.Youngchildren
should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance. This is a safety rule for all appliances.

24. DO NOT reach and/or climb into the tub or onto the washer, ESPECIALLY if the wash drum is moving. This is an imminently
hazardous situation that, if not avoided, will cause severe personal injury or death.
25. All installations required for the proper operation of the machine MUST be carried out by a duly accredited Registered
Installation Contractors, in compliance with the legal regulations applicable in the country of use.
26.Avoidcarryingoutanyactiononthemachinewithouthavingrstreadandunderstoodthemachine’sInstallationand
Operating Manuals, paying special attention to the Safety Instructions.
27. Carrying out transport, installation, inspection routines, adjustments, maintenance, repairs, cleaning or any work on the
machineswithoutapplyingsafetymeasuresorhavingthenecessarytechnicalknow-howcanleadtoELECTRICALSHOCK
OR SERIOUS ACCIDENTS.
28.Whentoolsdesignedforspecictransport,installation,maintenanceandrepairroutinesareavailable,theiruseis
compulsory in order to avoid unnecessary risks.
29.Beforecarryingoutanyproceduresonmachinesttedwithpneumaticorhydrauliccircuits:
• Make the machines COMPLETELY SAFE by following the instructions set out in the corresponding Manuals or by wedging
them with wooden blocks where necessary.
• Bear in mind that working on a component without having previously understood the role that it performs in the circuit as a
whole involves a high risk of suffering a SERIOUS ACCIDENT.
30. BEFORE CARRYING OUT ANY inspection routine, adjustment, maintenance, repairs, cleaning or any work on the machine,
DISCONNECTITFROMALLTHEENERGYSOURCES.
• COMPLETELY disconnect the machine from the power supply and prevent the possibility of accidental reconnection by
mechanically locking the automatic external switch and/or the switch breaker. Stopping the machine with the NORMAL
STOP key or push-button is not enough.
• Disconnect the electrical connection of any circuit external to the machine; for example, external dosing equipment,
external vending units, folders or ironer feeders. These circuits are independent of the supply to the machine.
•Beforebeginninganyprocedurewaitforatleastveminutesaftertheelectricaldisconnection,toeliminateriskofresidual
voltage.
• Close and mechanically lock the manual supply valves.
• Check that the water bath has COMPLETELY drained, that no part of the machine is at an excessively high temperature
and that no parts are in movement through inertia.
31. DANGER! Some fault localization procedures require checking at different points of the electric circuit with the machine
connected to the power supply and other supply sources. When carrying out these procedures, respect the following
instructions:
• The appropriate checks must be carried out by ONLY ONE PERSON.
• During these procedures, ONLY remove the protective covers from the electric circuit and/or the inverter. Never remove the
covers protecting the moving parts of the machine.
35. Before the washer is removed from service or discarded, remove the door to the washing compartment.
36.Failuretoinstall,maintain,and/oroperatethiswasheraccordingtothemanufacturer’sinstructionsmayresultinconditions
which can produce bodily injury and/or property damage.

installing, maintaining, or operating the washer.
WARNING
Machine installations must comply with minimum specications
and requirements stated in the applicable Installation Manual, any
applicable municipal building codes, water supply requirements,
electrical wiring regulations and any other relevant statutory
regulations. Due to varied requirements and applicable local codes,
this machine must be installed, adjusted, and serviced by qualied
maintenance personnel familiar with applicable local codes and the
construction and operation of this type of machinery. They must also
be familiar with the potential hazards involved. Failure to observe
this warning may result in personal injury, property damage, and/or
equipment damage, and will void the warranty.
IMPORTANT: Ensure that the machine is installed on a level oor of sufcient strength. Ensure that the recommended
clearances for inspection and maintenance are provided. Never allow the inspection and maintenance space to be
blocked.
0.3 SAFETY DECALS
Safety decals appear at crucial locations on the machine. Failure to maintain legible safety decals could result in injury to the
operator or service technician.
Use manufacturer-authorized spare parts to avoid safety hazards.

0.4 OPERATOR SAFETY
WARNING
NEVER insert hands or objects into basket until it has completely
stopped. Doing so could result in serious injury.
The following maintenance checks must be performed daily:
1. Verify that all warning labels are present and legible, replace as necessary.
2. Check door interlock before starting operation of the machine:
a. Attempt to start the machine with the door open. The machine should not start.
b. Close the door without locking it and start the machine. The machine should not start.
c. Attempt to open the door while a cycle is in progress. The door should not open.
If the door lock and interlock are not functioning properly disconnect power and call a service technician.
3. Do not attempt to operate the machine if any of the following conditions are present:
a. The door does not remain securely locked during the entire cycle.
b. Excessively high-water level is evident.
c. Machine is not connected to a properly grounded circuit.
Do not bypass any safety devices in the machine.
WARNING
Operating the machine with severe out-of-balance loads could result
in personal injury and serious equipment damage.
0.5 EMERGENCY STOP
WARNING
In accordance with safety requirements for industrial machinery
standard ISO 10472-1,5-2) and other safety requirements, the laundry
owner/manager is responsible for installing an emergency stop
device that affects all the machines in the laundry.
Device features
• To be located in a visible place, separated from all machines and easily accessible.
• To break the electrical supply for all machines.
• To safely isolate all machines at maximum consumption.
• To need reinstating (the whole installation) after the emergency stop push-button has been released.

01 INTRODUCTION
Thank you for the purchase of a Unity Laundry Systems washing machine. Please read this manual carefully before installing
and operating the washer.
1.1 DELIVERY INSPECTION
Upon delivery, visually inspect crate, protective cover, and unit for any visible shipping damage. If signs of possible damage
are evident, have the carrier note the condition on the shipping papers before the shipping receipt is signed, or advise the
carrier of the condition as soon as it is discovered.
Thewasherhasprotectiveadhesivelmonthethefrontandsidestainlesssteelpanels.Thelmmaybepeeledoffbefore
putting the machine into service.

3.2 FOUNDATION REQUIREMENTS
Themachinemustbeplacedonasolidoorwhichislevelinbothdirections,andofasufcientstrengthtobeabletosupport
the weight of the machine, of any existing machinery and the means of transport.
NOTE: Do not mount on tile oors, elevated oor levels, stacked multiple base frames, or over basements or crawl
spaces because of the high extract speed and the G-forces exerted.
WARNING
To reduce the risk of re, serious injury, property damage and/or
death, install the machine on a level, uncovered concrete oor of
sufcient strength at grade.
3.3. WATER CONNECTION
To connect water service to a machine with hoses, use the following procedure:
1. Beforeinstallinghoses,ushthebuilding’swatersystematthemachineconnectionvalvesforatleasttwo[2]minutes.
2. Checkltersinthemachine’sinletadapterhosesforpropertandcleanlinessbeforeconnecting.
3. Hanghosesinalargeloop;donotallowthemtokink.

3.4 DRAIN CONNECTION
IMPORTANT: Machine must be installed in accordance with all local codes and ordinances.
All drain systems must be vented to prevent an air lock or siphoning.
If proper drain size is not available or practical, a surge tank is required. A surge tank along with a sump pump should be used
when gravity drainage is not possible.

3.5 ELECTRICAL INSTALLATION
IMPORTANT: Electrical ratings are subject to change. Refer to serial plate for electrical ratings information specic to
your machine.
DANGER
Electrical shock hazard will result in death or serious injury.
Disconnect electric power and wait ve (5) minutes before servicing.
WARNING
Dangerous voltages are present inside the machine. Only qualied
personnel should attempt adjustments and troubleshooting.
Disconnect power from the machine before removing any cover and
guards, and before attempting any service procedures.
WARNING
Hazardous Voltage. Can cause shock, burn or death. Verify that a
ground wire from a proven earth ground is connected to the lug near
the input power block on this machine.
Electrical connections are made at the rear of the machine. The machine must be connected to the proper electrical supply
shown on the serial plate on the rear of the machine, using copper conductors only.
Fusing Requirements:
20 Amp Dual element time delay fuse or equivalent breaker is required. Supplementary circuit protection is not allowed.
3.6 CONNECTION SPECIFICATIONS
IMPORTANT: Connection must be made by a qualied licensed electrician using wiring diagram provided with
machine, or according to accepted state and local codes.
Connect machine to a dedicated branch circuit not shared with lighting or other equipment. Shield connection in a liquid-tight
orapprovedexibleconduit.CopperconductorsofcorrectsizemustbeinstalledinaccordancewithNECorotherapplicable
codes.

3.7. SUPPLY DISPENSING
3.7.1 Manual Dosing
WARNING
Dangerous Chemicals. May damage eyes and skin. Wear eye and
hand protection when handling chemicals; always avoid direct
contact with raw chemicals. Read the manufacturer’s directions for
accidental contact before handling chemicals. Ensure an eye-rinse
facility and an emergency shower are within easy reach. Check at
regular intervals for chemical leaks.
This machine has 4 liquid chemical supply and 5 external liquid supply connections.

IMPORTANT: Undiluted chemical dripping can damage the machine. All chemical injection supply dispenser pumps
and dispenser tubing should be mounted below the washer’s injection point. Loops do not prevent drips if these

IMPORTANT: Failure to follow these instructions could damage the machine and void the warranty.
3.7.2 External Dosing (Option)

4. Attach the external supply hoses to the ports at each of the drilled holes.
5. Secure with proper clamps.

After positioning, remove the lower front and back panels and remove the four shipping brackets that were used for
transportation support. Save the shipping brackets. If the washer ever needs to be moved to another location, replace the
transport system.

The user interface is specially designed for the control of the washer for the self-service vended market. The controller
provides easy operation for the user and also provides access to all the menus to setup, to diagnosing error codes, and to
check the status and health of the machine.
The hot, warm, cold and start buttons are used to navigate the washer menus.

4.2 ALARMING
When an error occurs, the computer will signal an alarm automatically with an audible sound. Pressing <Start(Enter)> button
will stop the audible alarm sound. Press <Start(Enter)> button again after troubleshooting to clear the alarm. If the error has
been resolved or can be ignored, the computer will go back to “open” or “close” or “locked” status or else the computer will
alarm again.

Start Automatic Running.
On the control panel choose your desired wash temperature, insert coins and then press [start] button to start the program.

Press [Up] and [Down] at the same time for 3 seconds to enter the “Run menu” to check the running status or error message
of the cycle and machine. Your password is required to access the run status menu.
