A seamless extension
Extend and enhance your Total Control® system with
this compact solu on. When combined with one
or more of URC’s available sensors, the MRX-4SEN
comes alive. This smart piece communicates with
your system controller, and detects changes in a
connected sensor to instantly start a series of ac vi es
important to you. For example you can have the
blinds lower or raise based on changes in ambient
light by connec ng a light sensor.

2.4GHz RF, the MRX-4SEN receives communica ons
from connected URC sensors and relays them to URC
compa ble network system controllers, to create auto-
ma on that makes your organiza on more effi cient.
Sensor versatility
URC off ers a wide array of sensors that detect
diff erent states and then allow some ac on to be
performed. Ul mately, this makes your electronics
work be er, because your control system is aware
of what’s happening around the business. The
MRX-4SEN makes simple work of adding any of our
sensors to a Total Control system. Small on size but
big on versa lity and benefi ts, it fi ts virtually any-
where – making it even easier to enjoy total control

TOTAL CONTROL SENSOR EXTENDER
Voltage Sensor (SEN-VOLT)
Detects AC or DC voltage between 5 – 24
volts and sends a signal to any sensor
input starting an activity for connected
components.
Video Sensor (SEN-VID)
Detects an active video signal from
components such as a satellite receiver,
DVD player etc. and starts an activity such
as dimming lights or starting a video
presentation.
Contact Closure Sensor (SEN-CCLS)
Detects when a switch/relay is opened or
closed and sends a signal to the MRX unit
with sensor ports starting an activity for
connected components.
Light Sensor (SEN-LITE )
Senses ambient light present or detects a
unit’s power state via an LED light on its
front panel and sends a signal to any sen-
sor input starting an activity for connected
components.
Audio Sensor (SEN-AUD)
Detects an active audio signal from
components such as a satellite receiver,
DVD player etc. and starts an activity such
as dimming lights or turning on music.
Current Sensor / Magnetic Field
(SEN-CMF )
Detects AC power in power cords and AC
magnetic elds created by audio/video
components. The Total Control sensor can
also track a unit’s power state.
