Mein wireless CarPlay 8001 ist ein Plug n‘ Play
Adapter, der das in meinem Auto installierte Apple
CarPlay System um die Bluetooth-Funktion erweitert.
Endlich kann ich CarPlay ohne Kabel und in bester
Sound-Qualität nutzen.
Nach dem Starten meines Fahrzeugs verbindet sich
mein iPhone automatisch mit dem Infotainment
System und schaltet CarPlay aktiv.
Folgende Fahrzeugmarken sind kompatible:

Voraussetzung: Apple CarPlay muss installiert und
frei-geschaltet sein. Die erfolgreiche Funktion per
USB-Kabel muss gegeben sein.
Es wird der USB-A und USB-C Standard unterstützt.
Lesen Sie diese Anleitung vor der Installation und
der Nutzung vollständig durch. Bewahren Sie sie auf.
Beachten Sie alle Hinweise und Anweisungen.

Dieses Gerät ist ausschließlich für den bestimmungs-gemäßen
Gebrauch zu nutzen, also nur für die Verbindung von iBox und CarPlay.
Eine Haftung für zweckfremden Gebrauch und zweckfremde
Installation, das Öffnen oder Beschädigen der iBox oder sonstige
Veränderungen wird nicht übernommen. Die Betriebserlaubnis und die
Gewährleistung erlöschen. Eine vorhersehbare Fehlanwendung liegt
vor, wenn das Produkt zu einem anderen Zweck verwendet wird, als in
dieser Anleitung beschrieben.
Beachten Sie die geltenden Bestimmungen zur getrennten Sammlung
von Elektro- und Elektronik-Altgeräten in Ihrem Land. Entsorgen Sie
Altgeräte nicht über den Hausmüll.

Einbau und Kopplung
Schritt 1: Verbinden Sie die iBox per Kabel mit
dem USB-Port des Infotainment
Systems. Nutzen Sie das im
Lieferumfang befindliche USB-A auf
USB-C Kabel.
Schritt 2: Öffnen Sie auf Ihrem iPhone unter
Einstellungen das Bluetooth Menü, und
lassen Sie es geöffnet, so dass
Bluetooth sichtbar bleibt. Natürlich
Bluetooth muss eingeschaltet sein.
Schritt 3: Auf dem Display des Infotainment
Systems erscheint ein Menü zum
Koppeln. Für DEUTSCH bitte 4x das
Weltkugel-Symbol am Radio unten
rechts drücken.
Schritt 4: Drücke SUCHE am Display des
Fahrzeugs.
Schritt 5: Ihr Smartphone wird angezeigt. Wählen
Sie es aus und bestätigen Sie die
Auswahl.
Schritt 6: Bitte bestätigen Sie die Kopplung auf
Ihrem iPhone mit Koppeln ➔Erlauben
➔CarPlay verwenden.

Wir empfehlen vor der ersten Nutzung zu prüfen, ob
ein Update für Ihre iBox vorliegt und ggfs. zu
installieren. Bitte gehen Sie wie im Kapitel Software-
Update beschrieben vor.
Alternativ können Sie auch die Kopplung durch Ihr
iPhone starten. Öffnen Sie dafür unter Einstellungen
das Bluetooth Menü, warten Sie, bis die iBox
angezeigt wird und stellen die Kopplung vom iPhone
aus her.
Software-Update
So erhält Ihre iBox ein Update:
1. Bitte stellen Sie eine Verbindung von
iPhone und iBox her.
2. Öffnen Sie Safari auf dem iPhone.
3. Geben Sie bitte in die Adresszeile
folgende IP-Adresse ein: 192.168.50.2
4. Nun wird geprüft, ob die neuste
Softwareversion installiert ist. Durch
Drücken des Soft-Button UPDATE NOW
wird das Update gestartet. Nach
erfolgreicher Installation wird die
Verbindung getrennt.

FAQ
Frage: Bei Verbindungsversuch mit meinem VW
wird die Fehlermeldung angezeigt: „USB wird nicht
unterstützt“.
Antwort: Setzen Sie bitte die Werkeinstellungen für
CarPlay im Infotainment System zurück. SETUP ➔
Werkseinstellungen ➔Einzelne Komponente ➔
CarPlay.
Frage: Wie kann ich die Kopplung entfernen?
Antwort: Trennen Sie bitte die aktive Verbindung
auf dem iPhone, indem Sie Bluetooth und Wlan
ausschalten. Aktivieren Sie nun CarPlay am Radio.
Auf der rechten Seite wird Ihnen die Liste der
gekoppelten Geräte angezeigt. Halten Sie das Gerät
mit dem Namen Ihres iPhones einige Sekunden
gedrückt und bestätigen die Löschung durch
DELETE.

car with the Bluetooth function. I can finally use
CarPlay without cables and with the best sound
quality.
After starting my vehicle, my iPhone automatically
connects to the infotainment system and activates
CarPlay.

The USB-A and USB-C standards are supported.
Read these instructions completely before installation
and use. Keep them safe. Follow all notes and
instructions.

This device is only to be used for the intended purpose, that is only for the connection
of iBox and CarPlay. Liability for improper use and improper installation, opening or
damaging the iBox or other changes is not accepted. The operating license and the
warranty expire. Foreseeable misuse exists if the product is used for a purpose other
than that described in these instructions.

Installation and pairing
Step 1: Connect the iBox to the USB port of the
infotainment system using a cable. Use
the included USB-A to USB-C cable.
Step 2: Open the Bluetooth menu under Settings
on your iPhone and leave it open so that
Bluetooth remains visible. Of course,
Buetooth has to be switched on.
Step 3: A menu for pairing appears on the
display of the infotainment system. For
GERMAN, please press the globe
symbol on the radio at the bottom right
four times.
Step 4: Press SEARCH on the vehicle display.
Step 5: Your smartphone will be displayed.
Select it and confirm the selection.
Step 6: Please confirm the pairing on your
iPhone with
Pair ➔Allow ➔Use CarPlay.
Before using it for the first time, we recommend
checking whether there is an update for your iBox and
installing it if necessary. Please proceed as described
in the chapter Software-Update.

Alternatively, you can also start the pairing through
your iPhone. To do this, open the Bluetooth menu
under Settings, wait until the iBox is displayed and
establish the connection from the iPhone.
Software-Update
This is how your iBox gets an update:
1. Please establish a connection between
iPhone and iBox.
2. Open Safari on the iPhone.
3. Please enter the following IP address in
the address line: 192.168.50.2
4. It is now checked whether the latest
software version is installed. The update
is started by pressing the UPDATE NOW
soft button. The connection will be
terminated after successful installation.

FAQ
Question: When trying to connect to my VW, the
error message is displayed: "USB is not supported".
Answer: Please reset the factory settings for
CarPlay in the infotainment system. SETTINGS ➔
Factory settings ➔Individual Settings ➔
AppConnect.
Question: How can I remove the pairing?
Answer: Please disconnect the active connection on
the iPhone by switching off Bluetooth and WiFi. Now
activate CarPlay on the radio. The list of paired
devices is displayed on the right-hand side. Hold
down the device with the name of your iPhone for a
few seconds and confirm the deletion with DELETE.
