PREPARATION
Before beginning assembly of product, make sure all parts are present. Compare parts with
package contents list and diagram above. If any part is missing or damaged, do not attempt to
assemble the product. Contact customer service for replacement parts.This light fixture is
designed to fit standard junction boxes as defined by the National Electrical Code. As an
alternative, this light fixture may be installed using conduit connection. Please contact a qualified
electrician if you have any questions regarding the installation. If any part is missing or damaged,
or you are unsure how to proceed with assembly, do not attempt to install or use the product.
Estimated Assembly Time: 30 - 60 minutes
Tools Required for Assembly (not included): Phillips screwdriver, small adjustable wrench, wire
cutters/strippers, power drill with 3/16 in. (4.8 mm) drill bit, step ladder. (not included).

Step 1: Attach Fixture Housing Assembly
Select a location on a flat wall with structurally sound wood and from 10 to 25 feet (3 to 7.6 m)
from the ground. The wood should be at least one inch (25 mm) thick to safely secure the fixture.
The fixture (A) can be mounted with three lag screws (AA) and washers (BB) which are provided.
Using the fixture (A) as a mounting template, mark three mounting holes. We suggest drilling
3/16 in. (4.8 mm) pilot holes for the lag screws. Install the bottom two (AA) with washers (BB)
first. Screw in the lag screws (AA) so that there is about 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) of space under (BB).
Place (A) on these two (AA) and install the top (AA) and (BB). Tighten the top (AA) first, and then
tighten the remaining (AA) (see Fig 1).

Secure your outdoor cable or flexible conduit to
the cover plate (E) with a fitting in accordance with
the National Electrical Code (Canadian Electrical
Code in Canada). Thread the black and white
fixture wires through the hole in (E) as shown (see
Fig 2). Connect the fixture wires to the service
wires using the wire nuts (FF) provided (black to
black and white to white). This fixture must be
grounded. Connect the service ground wire under
the head of the green ground screw and secure to
the fixture.
Step 3: Attach Cover Plate
Install (E). Secure with the screws (CC),
washers (DD) and nuts (EE) (see Fig 3).

For optimal performance the arrow on the photocontrol (B) should be facing north after (A) is installed.
If adjustment is needed, loosen the screw in the center of the white photocontrol receptacle (AB) two
turns. Rotate (AB) so that the arrow will point north when installed and retighten screw. Note: There is
a stop to prevent (AB) from turning all the way around. If you have trouble turning (AB), try turning it in
the other direction.
Install (B) by aligning the arrow on top of (B) with arrow on (AB). Push down and twist clockwise.
CAUTION: (B) will only plug in one way. Align the large prong on (B) with the large opening in (AB).

BULB REPLACEMENT
Step 7: Install Photocell
SC
To test operation during the daytime, cover (B). Turn the power on. Light should turn on and reach
full brightness within 10 minutes. Expose (B) to daylight. Light should turn off within two minutes.
With (B) exposed, the light will operate automatically: ON at dusk and OFF at dawn.

Perform ballast replacement after removing light fixture from the wall.

Step 1: Remove protective screen (F).
Step 2: Remove bulb (D).
Step 3: Loosen the three lens assembly
screws (GG) and remove lens assembly.
Step 4: Remove the two screws (SD)
and washers (SE) connecting the
ballast (SA) to fixture housing (A) (see
Fig 7).

starting balast replacement.

Step 5: Carefully remove tape and label wires according to wiring diagram (see Fig 8).
Step 7: Remove the two screws (SH) holding lamp socket (SC) to (SA).
Step 10: Connect new ballast assembly by reversing steps 1 through 9.
Step 8: Remove the screw (SF) holding ignitor (SB) to ballast assembly.
Step 6: Remove wire nuts (SG) and save for new ballast installation.
Step 9: Remove the screw (SF) and capacitor (SI) to ballast assembly.

Étape 1 : Installation de l’assemblage du boîtier du luminaire
Choisissez un emplacement sur un mur plat vis-à-vis d’une poutre en bois solide et situé à une
distance entre 3 m et 7,6 m du sol. La poutre doit être d’une épaisseur d’au moins 2,5 cm pour
que le luminaire y soit fixé de façon sécuritaire. Le luminaire (A) peut être installé
à l’aide de trois vis à bois à tête carrée (AA) et de trois rondelles (BB) fournies. Marquez
l’emplacement des trois trous de montage à l’aide du luminaire (A) en guise de gabarit
d'installation. Nous vous suggérons de percer un petit avant-trou pour les vis à bois à l'aide d'un
foret de 3/16 po. Installez les deux vis inférieures (AA) en insérant en premier les rondelles (BB).
Vissez-les ensuite jusqu’à ce qu’il y ait environ 9,5 mm d’espace sous les rondelles (BB). Placez
le luminaire (A) sur ces deux vis inférieures (AA) et installez la vis (AA) et la rondelle (BB)
supérieures. Serrez en premier la vis supérieure (AA). Finissez en serrant les
vis inférieures (AA) (consultez la figure 1).

À l’aide d’un raccord, branchez votre câble
extérieur ou votre conduit souple à la plaque du
boîtier (E), selon le Code national de l’électricité ou,
au Canada, le Code canadien de l’électricité. Faites
passer les fils noir et blanc du luminaire dans le trou
de la plaque (E) tel que cela est illustré (consultez
la figure 2). À l’aide des capuchons de connexion
(FF) fournis, raccordez les fils de l’alimentation à
ceux du luminaire (noir avec noir et blanc avec
blanc).

Placez la plaque (E). Fixez-la à l’aide des
vis (CC), des rondelles (DD) et des écrous

Vissez l’ampoule aux halogénures
métallisés de 100 W de type M90/E

Placez la grille de protection (F). Insérez
l’encoche de la grille dans l’assemblage
de lentilles (C), soulevez la grille et
emboîtez-la (consultez la figure 4).

AVERTISSEMENT : Votre luminaire de sécurité aux halogénures métallisés est conçu pour
fonctionner de façon sécuritaire UNIQUEMENT avec une ampoule aux halogénures métallisés
de 100 watts de type M90/E. Remplacez l’ampoule grillé uniquement par une ampoule aux
halogénures métallisés de 100 watts de type M90/E. Vous pourriez endommager le luminaire
en installant tout autre type d’ampoules.

Pour obtenir une efficacité maximale, vous devez placer la flèche de la cellule photoélectrique (B)
vers le nord une fois que vous avez installé le luminaire (A). Si vous devez procéder à un réglage,
dévissez de deux tours la vis au centre de la douille blanche de la cellule photoélectrique (AB).
Tournez la douille de la cellule photoélectrique (AB) pour que la flèche pointe vers le nord, et
resserrez la vis. Remarque : Il y a une butée pour prévenir le tour complet de la douille de la
cellule photoélectrique (AB). Si vous éprouvez des difficultés à faire tourner la douille de la cellule
photoélectrique (AB) dans un sens, essayez dans l’autre sens.
Placez la cellule photoélectrique (B) de manière à aligner sa flèche sur celle de la douille de la cellule
photoélectrique (AB). Poussez vers le bas et tournez dans le sens des aiguilles d’une montre.
MISE EN GARDE : Le branchement de la cellule photoélectrique (B) ne pourra se faire que dans
un seul sens. Alignez la grosse broche de la cellule photoélectrique (B) sur la grande ouverture de
la douille de la cellule photoélectrique (AB).

CHANGEMENT DE L’AMPOULE
Étape 7 : Installation de la cellule photoélectrique

Pour vérifier le fonctionnement du luminaire pendant le jour, couvrez la cellule photoélectrique (B).
Allumez ensuite le luminaire. Il devrait éclairer et atteindre sa pleine intensité lumineuse en moins
de 10 minutes. Exposez la cellule photoélectrique (B) à la lumière du jour. Le luminaire devrait
s’éteindre en moins de deux minutes. Lorsque la cellule photoélectrique est exposée à la lumière,
le luminaire fonctionne automatiquement : il s'allume lorsqu’il fait sombre et s’éteint lorsqu’il fait clair.
