Grounding Instructions
This product should be grounded. In the event of an electrical short circuit, grounding reduces
the risk of electric shock by providing an escape wire for the electric current. This product is
equipped with a cord having a grounding wire with a grounding plug. The plug must be plugged
into an outlet that is properly installed and grounded.
DANGER - Improper use of the grounding plug can result in a risk of electric shock.
If repair or replacement of the cord or plug is necessary, do not connect the grounding wire to
either flat blade terminal. The wire with insulation having an outer surface that is green with or
without yellow stripes is the grounding wire.
Check with a qualified, authorized electrician or serviceman if the grounding instructions are not
completely understood, or if in doubt as to whether the product is properly grounded.
This product is factory equipped with a specific electric cord and plug to permit connection to a
proper electric circuit. Make sure that the product is connected to an outlet having the same
configuration as the plug. No adapter should be used with this product. Do not modify the plug
provided — if it will not fit the outlet, have the proper outlet installed by a qualified electrician. If
the product must be reconnected for use on a dierent type of electric circuit, the reconnection
should be made by qualified service personnel.
Extension Cords:
If it is necessary to use an extension cord, use only a three wire extension cord that has a
three-blade grounding plug, and a three-slot receptacle that will accept the plug on the product.
Replace or repair a damaged cord.

the eciency of the drying and disinfecting function.
Load bottles facing upwards. Spread out objects and
leave space between each item. Never pile objects on
top of one other. UV light does not penetrate plastic
or glass, therefore all surface areas must be properly
exposed to UV light for germs to be eliminated
eectively.
For wet items such as washed bottles, pacifiers, and
bottle nipples:
Select ‘Dry+UV” cycle with the SELECT CYCLE
button. This is the default cycle when the power is
turned on. The ‘Dry+UV’ icon will blink when selected.
Press the START button to start selected cycle.

Note: Drying results may vary depending on how well you shake off the bottles, the shape of the
bottles and general humidity conditions.
UviCube purposely uses a low-heat infrared bulb, which may have varying results on some types of
bottles and items. Higher heat results in better drying results, but may cause burns and may shorten
the lifespan of your items.
Bottles should be shaken thoroughly to remove excess water and to make sure large water droplets do
not form in large concentrations. Please make sure that both protective covers from the IR bulb and
UV lamp are REMOVED (refer to page 11). In some instances, customers have unintentionally left
the IR bulb cover, which limits the ability of the bulb to heat and dry the bottles.
Note: A U.S. Laboratory performed a study on UviCube's effect on items such as remote controls,
mobile phones and certain toys under normal operating conditions. The study found that while UV
light exposure from UviCube may possibly shorten the lifespan of the plastics by a small amount, this
will not come with significant increase to biologically active chemicals from the breakdown of plastics.
In short, for the materials tested, and similar types of plastics used in storing and handling foodstuffs,
the findings indicate that the product will be chemically as safe coming out of UviCube as going in.
While the items used in the study did not show any visible damage and electronics appear to function
normally, you are advised that such use of UviCube is at your own discretion and risk, as the
composition of the original materials and their durability are outside of UviCube's control.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Cleaning
WARNING: Apart from the user maintenance allowed above and within this manual, refer other
servicing to be performed by an authorized service representative.
Inner Chamber
It is recommended to maintain a clean inner chamber to optimize the reflectivity of the inner
chamber for UV light to achieve optimal results.
Occasionally check the unit for residue. Depending on the hardness of your water, watermarks may
accumulate faster. To maintain a clean unit, wipe owatermarks in the inner chamber with a damp
cloth, then a dry cloth. If the watermarks do not easily wipe o, soak cloth in hot water and leave it
on the watermarks for 5-10 min, then wipe it o.
CAUTION: DO NOT use soap, detergents or abrasive cleaners as it may damage the reflective
inner chamber.
Lamps
For optimal results, it is recommended that lamps and bulbs stay clean. CAUTION: Make sure the
unit is disconnected and the lamps and bulbs are turned o. If you notice residue, first, disconnect
the unit and gently wipe the bulbs and lamps with a dry cloth.
Electric Cord
When not in use, recoil the electric cord and place it back in the original storage box that came with
your package.

down before touching. Use only permitted bulbs and lamps from UviCube: P/N UVCB518
and P/N UVCL518
NOTE: Do not touch the glass portion of the germicidal UV lamp or Infrared bulb with bare
hands. Use protective gloves to avoid residue or skin oils that can affect the UV lamp and

To replace the UV lamp:
1. Use protective gloves and lightly but firmly grasp both ends of the lamp at the
same time. During replacement, DO NOT grasp the middle portion of the
UV lamp, as this is the weakest part of the lamp and may easily break.
2. Simultaneously and gently twist the ends of the lamp out of the ‘locked’
position by turning either clockwise or counter-clockwise. Continue gently
twisting until you feel another ‘locked’ position or click. This will allow the
lamp to be released from the sockets. Carefully remove the lamp in a
downward motion and dispose of the expired bulb appropriately, well out of
the reach of children.
3. Insert the replacement lamp, grasping both ends of the lamp with the end
pins in a vertical position (one on top of the other). During replacement, DO
NOT grasp the middle portion of the UV lamp, as this is the weakest part of
the lamp and may easily break. Simultaneously, twist both ends of the lamp
gently but firmly clockwise or counter-clockwise until you feel it “lock” back
into position.
