Using your Phad light
Phad 4 and Phad 8
To switch on the light, the light head must be screwed down into the battery
pack or into the umbilical (if applicable). To switch off the light you can unscrew
the light head half a turn. SCUBAPRO Phad 4 and Phad 8 light heads are
equipped with an undertension security to prevent deep discharge as deep
discharge will cause irreparable damage to rechargeable batteries.
As soon as the voltage of the Phad 4 and Phad 8 battery packs gets too
low, the Phad 4 and Phad 8 light heads will be dimmed and set to the ‘bring-
me-home’ mode. The ‘bring-me-home’ mode will provide another 72 hours of
dimmed light, powerfull enough to read instruments and compass.
The Phad light heads are equipped with a PWM-module (Pulse Width
Modulation)
Pulse Width Modulation is controlled by a microprocessor which:
- enables a perfect battery management which also prevents damage
by deep discharge;
- controls the LED’s at their maximum capacity without overload;
- protects the light head against overheating by constantly measuring
the temperature and by reducing the current when necessary;
- offers extra options such as dimming, SOS and strobe mode, ...
Using the dimmer in the Phad light head
At startup, your Phad light head will burn at 100%. When restarted within 5 sec-
onds, the dimmer will reduce the output to 50%. When restarted after a burn
time of more than 5 seconds, the light head will start up at 100%.
Using the strobe mode in the Phad light head
When restarted within 5 seconds after reducing the output to 50%, the light
head will be set to strobe mode. When restarted, the light head will start up
at 100%.
Important
While burning, a dive light produces light as well as a certain amount of heat.
Extensive use of the light out of the water will prevent it from cooling down and
may result in overheating. The Phad 4 and Phad 8 light heads however are
equipped with an overheat protection which will reduce the output when the
temperature of the light head gets too high.

Phad Overview
Housing
The casing of the SCUBAPRO Phad 4 and Phad 8 battery pack is made of
ABS, a lightweight, low-friction and wear-resistant plastic. The casing of the
SCUBAPRO Phad 4 and Phad 8 light head is made of salt water resistant alu-
minum. These light heads have been treated with three processes to produce
a hard, corrosion-resistant surface.
Water Tightness
The Phad 4 and Phad 8 battery packs and light heads obtain their water tight-
ness by means of durable NBR O-rings. These O-rings are extremely important
and require your special care and attention. The O-rings must be free of impuri-
ties and grooves; they should shine slightly due to silicone grease. If not, the
Orings should be cleaned with a soft cloth that does not shed fl uff and then
lightly greased with silicone grease. Every time the SCUBAPRO Phad batteries
are replaced, the condition of the O-rings should be checked. It is advisable to
replace these O-rings when in doubt about their condition and in any case after
approximately 50 dives. They must be replaced with great care. The condition
of the seal’s surface should also be checked for damage.
Rinsing
After each dive, it is highly recommended to rinse your SCUBAPRO Phad bat-
tery pack and light head with fresh water. While rinsing make sure that the
battery pack is attached with light head and umbilical (if applicable) to prevent
water entering the system.
! WARNING!
The batteries used in the SCUBAPRO Phad 4 and Phad 8 battery packs
are non-rechargeable alkaline batteries. Recharging these batteries will
damage this unit and may cause personal injury. In case these batter-
ies are replaced with rechargeable batteries, the manufacturers guide-
lines concerning charging and recharging of these batteries are to be
followed.

SCUBAPRO Phad light - Warranty
SCUBAPRO Phad 4 and Phad 8 have a general warranty coverage of three
years on technical parts (batteries not included), with proof of purchase from an
authorized SCUBAPRO dealer. All warranty claims must be returned with dated
proof-of-purchase to an Authorized SCUBAPRO Dealer.

Warranty does not cover:
- Loss.
- Defects, damage or deterioration due to normal use or wear and tear.
- Glass.
- Damage caused by exposure to excessive heat, prolonged sunlight or
corrosive chemicals.
- Damage due to poor maintenance, improper use, alteration, negligence or
accident.
- Damage due to repair by someone other than SCUBAPRO or an Authorized
SCUBAPRO Dealer.
The owner commits to using the product according to the instruction manual
and to maintaining it with care. We recommend servicing your new Phad 4 or
Phad 8 at authorized SCUBAPRO dealers or service centers. Irrespective of
any damage that may be incurred, the warranty is limited to the repair or pos-
sible replacement of the SCUBAPRO Phad 4 or Phad 8.

Utilisation de votre lampe torche Phad
Phad 4 et Phad 8
Pour allumer la lampe, la tête d’éclairage doit être vissée sur le corps du bloc
piles ou sur l’ombilical (le cas échéant). Pour éteindre la lampe, dévissez la
tête d’éclairage d’un demi-tour. Les têtes d’éclairage des lampes SCUBAPRO
Phad 4 et Pad 8 sont équipées d’un système de régulation pour prévenir les
fortes variations de tension, ces dernières pouvant causer des dommages ir-
réparables aux piles rechargeables. Dès que la tension fournie par le bloc piles
des lampes Phad 4 et Phad 8 devient trop faible, l’intensité du faisceau des
têtes d’éclairage baisse et passe en mode «retour à la base». Le mode «retour
à la base» fournit 72 heures d’éclairage de faible puissance mais suffisant pour
lire les instruments et le compas.
Les têtes d’éclairage des lampes Phad sont équipées d’un module
PWM (MLI ou Modulation de Largeur d’Impulsion)
La modulation de largeur d’impulsion est contrôlée par un microprocesseur qui:
- permet une parfaite gestion des piles et prévient les dommages dus aux
fortes variations de tension;
- maintient les ampoules à LED à leur capacité maximum sans aucune su-
rintensité;
- protège les têtes d’éclairage de la surchauffe en en mesurant constamment
la température et en réduisant le courant si nécessaire;
- permet d’offrir des options supplémentaires telles que la variation du flux
d’éclairage, le mode SOS et le mode d’éclairage stroboscopique.
Utilisation du variateur de flux de la tête d’éclairage de la lampe Phad
Au démarrage, la tête d’éclairage de votre lampe torche Phad va fonctionner à
100%. Si vous la redémarrez sous 5 secondes, le variateur de flux va ramener la
puissance du faisceau à 50%. Si vous la redémarrez après une durée de fonc-
tionnement de plus de 5 secondes, la tête d’éclairage sera de nouveau à 100%.
Utilisation de la tête d’éclairage de la lampe Phad en mode strobos-
copique
Si vous la redémarrez dans les 5 secondes qui suivent la réduction de puis-
sance à 50%, la tête d’éclairage passera en mode stroboscopique. Au redé-
marrage, la tête d’éclairage va fonctionner à 100%.
Important
Lorsqu’elle fonctionne, une lampe de plongée produit de la lumière et dégage
une certaine quantité de chaleur. Une utilisation prolongée en dehors de l’eau
empêchera la torche de refroidir et pourra provoquer une surchauffe. Les têtes
d’éclairage des lampes Phad 4 et Phad 8 sont équipées d’une protection anti
surchauffe qui réduira la tension de sortie lorsque la température de la tête
d’éclairage devient trop élevée.

Présentation de la lampe Phad
Boîtier
Le corps du bloc piles des lampes SCUBAPRO Phad 4 et Phad 8 est en ABS,
un plastique léger, à faible coefficient de frottement et résistant à l’usure. Le
corps de la tête d’éclairage des lampes SCUBAPRO Phad 4 et Phad 8 est en
aluminium résistant à l’eau de mer. Ces têtes d’éclairage ont subi trois traite-
ments différents afin d’obtenir une surface dure et résistante à la corrosion.
Étanchéité
Les blocs piles et les têtes d’éclairage des lampes Phad 4 et Phad 8 sont
étanchéifiés à l’aide de joints toriques NBR longue durée. Ces joints toriques
sont extrêmement importants et demandent un soin et une attention tout par-
ticuliers. Ils doivent être exempts d’impuretés et d’encoches. La graisse de
silicone doit les rendre légèrement luisants. Dans le cas contraire, les joints
toriques doivent être nettoyés avec un chiffon doux qui ne peluche pas, puis
légèrement enduits de graisse silicone. L’état des joints toriques de la lampe
SCUBAPRO Phad doit être vérifié à chaque changement de piles. Il est con-
seillé de remplacer ces joints toriques lorsqu’il y a un doute à propos de leur
état, et dans tous les cas après environ 50 plongées. Ils doivent être remplacés
avec le plus grand soin. Il faut également vérifier que la surface d’étanchéité ne
soit pas endommagée.
Rinçage
Après chaque plongée, il est fortement conseillé de rincer à l’eau douce le
corps du bloc piles et de la tête d’éclairage de votre lampe SCUBAPRO Phad.
! ATTENTION!
Les piles utilisées dans les blocs piles des lampes torches SCUBAPRO
Phad 4 et Phad 8 sont de type alkalines non recheargeables. Recharger
ces piles pourrait endommager l’unité et causer des dommages aux
personnes. Dans le cas où ces piles seraient remplacées par des piles
rechargeables, vous devez suivent les instructions du constructeur
concernant le chargement et le rechargement de ces piles.

tation d’une preuve d’achat émanant d’un distributeur agréé SCUBAPRO.

La garantie ne couvre pas:
- La perte.

Uso della torcia Phad
Phad 4 e Phad 8
Per accendere, avvitare la testa (ruotare in senso orario) sul pacco batterie o
sull’ombelicale (se previsto). Per spegnere, svitare (routare in senso antiorario)
di mezzo giro. Le teste illuminanti di Phad 4 e Phad 8 SCUBAPRO sono dotate
di un sistema che impedisce la scarica completa e previene danni alle batterie
ricaricabili. Non appena la tensione dei pacchi batterie di Phad 4 e Phad 8
raggiunge un livello troppo basso, le torce diminuiranno la luminosità emessa
entrando in modalità ‘ritorno a casa’. Si tratta di una modalità in grado di fornire
altre 72 ore di luce a bassa intensità, abbastanza potente per leggere gli stru-
menti e la bussola.
Le teste illuminanti di Phad sono inoltre dotate di un modulo PWM
(Pulse Width Modulation - modulazione di larghezza di impulso)
Tale modulazione è controllata da un microprocessore che:
- permette una perfetta gestione delle batterie e previene danni da completo
scaricamento;
- controlla l’intensità dei LED alla loro massima capacità senza sovraccari-

- protegge il proiettore dal surriscaldamento misurandone costantemente la
temperatura e riducendola quando necessario;
- offre opzioni aggiuntive come la diminuzione di potenza e la modalità lam-
peggio SOS.
Uso del variatore di luminosità di Phad
All’accensione Phad emeterrà il 100% di potenza luminosa, se viene riaccesa
entro 5 secondi, il variatore diminuirà l’intensità di emissione al 50%. Se riac-
cesa dopo un tempo superiore ai 5 secondi, ritornerà ad emettere al 100%
di potenza.
Uso della modalità lampeggio
Se Phad viene riaccesa entro 5 secondi dal momento di riduzione dell’intensità
al 50%, la torcia inizierà il lampeggio. Se riavviato ancora una volta, ritornerà ad
un’intensità del 100%.
Importante
Durante l’uso, una torcia subacquea emette sia luce sia una determinata quan-
tità di calore. L’uso prolungato fuori dall’acqua impedisce il raffreddamento e
può causare un eccessivo surriscaldamento. Phad 4 e Phad 8 sono dotate
di un sistema di protezione contro il surriscaldamento che riduce la potenza
quando la temperatura raggiunge un livello troppo alto.

Panoramica di Phad
Corpo
L’involucro del pacco batterie delle torce Phad 4 e Phad 8 SCUBAPRO è in
ABS, una plastica leggera, a basso coefficiente di frizione e resistente all’usura.
Il corpo della testa illuminante di Phad 4 e Phad 8 SCUBAPRO Phad 4 e Phad
8 è in alluminio resistente all’acqua salata. Le teste illuminanti sono state sot-
toposte a tre trattamenti successivi per rendere la superficie dura e resistente
alla corrosione.
Tenuta stagna
I pacchi batterie ed le teste illuminati di Phad 4 e Phad 8 sono a tenuta stagna
grazie agli O-ring NBR, molto resistenti. Questi O-ring sono di fondamentale
importanza e richiedono cure ed attenzioni particolari. Gli O-ring devono essere
privi di sporcizia e graffi; inoltre, devono essere leggermente lucidi per la pre-
senza di grasso al silicone. In caso contrario, è necessario pulire gli O-ring con
un panno morbido che non lasci pelucchi e poi lubrificarli con grasso al silicone.
Ad ogni sostituzione delle batterie occorre verificare le condizioni degli O-ring.
Si consiglia di sostituirli in caso di dubbi sulle loro condizioni e comunque dopo
circa 50 immersioni. È necessario sostituirli prestando molta attenzione durante
la procedura ed occorre verificare l’eventuale presenza di danni sulle supercifi
di tenuta.
Risciacquo
Dopo ogni immersione, si consiglia di sciacquare Phad 4 e Phad 8 con acqua
dolce. Durante il risciacquo, assicurarsi che il pacco batterie sia fissato alla
testa illuminante (o al cavo ombelicale, se presente), per impedire l’ingresso di
acqua nella torcia.
! ATTENZIONE!
Le batterie impiegate nel pacco batterie SCUBAPRO Phad 4 e Phad
8 sono alcaline non ricaricabili. Ricaricando queste batterie si dan-
neggerà l’unità e si esporrà l’utilizzatore al rischio di lesioni per-
sonali. In caso di sostituzione delle stesse con batterie ricaricabili,
dovranno essere seguite le indicazioni del produttore delle batterie
in merito alla procedura di ricarica.

Torcia Phad SCUBAPRO - Garanzia
Le torce SCUBAPRO Phad 4 e Phad 8 sono coperte da una garanzia di tre anni
sulle componenti meccaniche (escluse le batterie) dietro presentazione della
prova di acquisto rilasciata da un rivenditore autorizzato SCUBAPRO. Tutte le
richieste di intervento in garanzia devono essere presentate a un rivenditore
autorizzato SCUBAPRO unitamente alla prova di acquisto recante la data. Per

Funcionamiento del foco Phad
Phad 4 y Phad 8
Para encender el foco, el cabezal debe estar enroscado en el compartimento
de las pilas o en el umbilical (si procede). Para apagar el foco, puede des-
enroscar el cabezal dándole media vuelta. El cabezal de los focos Phad 4
y Phad 8 de SCUBAPRO está equipado con un seguro contra baja tensión
para evitar que las pilas recargables se descarguen en exceso, ya que podrían
sufrir daños irreparables. Cuando la tensión de las pilas de los focos Phad 4
y Phad 8 alcanza niveles demasiado bajos, la intensidad de la luz disminuye y
se activa el modo ‘llévame a casa’. El modo ‘llévame a casa’ proporciona 72
horas de luz más tenue, lo suficientemente potente como para leer instrumen-
tos y brújulas.
El cabezal del foco Phad está equipado con un sistema de modu-
lación del ancho de los impulsos (PWM, por sus siglas en inglés).
La modulación del ancho de los impulsos está controlada por un micropro-
cesador que:
- permite una perfecta gestión de las pilas y evita daños por descargas exce-
sivas;
- controla los LED en su capacidad máxima evitando sobrecargas;
- protege el cabezal del sobrecalentamiento, midiendo constantemente la
temperatura y reduciendo la corriente siempre que sea necesario;
- ofrece más opciones, como la regulación de la intensidad y los modos SOS
y estroboscópico, ...
Funcionamiento del regulador de intensidad en el foco Phad
Al encender el foco Phad, el cabezal se iluminará al 100%. Si lo vuelve a
encender antes de 5 segundos, el regulador reducirá la intensidad al 50%.
Si lo vuelve a encender después de 5 segundos, el cabezal se encenderá
al 100%.
Funcionamiento del modo estroboscópico en el foco Phad
Si vuelve a encender el foco antes de 5 segundos tras la reducción de la inten-
sidad al 50%, el cabezal se pondrá en modo estroboscópico. Cuando vuelva
a encender el foco, el cabezal se iluminará al 100%.
Importante
Cuando el foco está encendido, produce tanto luz como cierta cantidad de
calor. El uso extensivo del foco fuera del agua impedirá que éste se refrigere,
por lo que se podría sobrecalentar. No obstante, el cabezal de los focos Phad
4 y Phad 8 está equipado con una protección contra el sobrecalentamiento
que reduce la intensidad de la luz cuando la temperatura del foco asciende
demasiado.

Información general del foco Phad
Carcasa
El compartimento para las pilas de los focos Phad 4 y Phad 8 de SCUBAPRO
está fabricado en ABS, un plástico ligero, de baja fricción y resistente al des-
gaste. El cabezal de los focos Phad 4 y Phad 8 de SCUBAPRO está fabricado
en aluminio resistente al agua salada. El cabezal ha sido tratado con tres pro-
cesos para obtener una superficie fuerte y resistente a la corrosión.
Impermeabilidad
La impermeabilidad del compartimento para las pilas y el cabezal de los focos
Phad 4 y Phad 8 se obtiene mediante resistentes juntas tóricas NBR. Estas
juntas tóricas son extremadamente importantes y precisan de cuidados y aten-
ciones especiales por parte del usuario. Las juntas tóricas deben estar libres
de impurezas y grietas y deben brillar ligeramente por la grasa de silicona. Si
no fuese así, deberá limpiar las juntas tóricas con un paño suave que no deje
pelusa y lubricarlas ligeramente con grasa de silicona. Cada vez que sustituya
las pilas del foco Phad de SCUBAPRO, deberá comprobar el estado de las
juntas tóricas. Es recomendable sustituir las juntas tóricas siempre que no esté
seguro de su estado y, en cualquier caso, después de unas 50 inmersiones.
Debe tener mucho cuidado al sustituir las juntas tóricas. También debe com-
probar que la superficie de sellado no esté dañada.
Enjuagar
Después de cada inmersión, es muy recomendable que enjuague con agua
dulce el compartimento de las pilas y el cabezal del foco Phad de SCUBAPRO.
Durante el lavado, asegúrese de que el compartimento de las pilas esté unido
al cabezal del foco y al umbilical (si procede), para evitar que se produzcan
filtraciones de agua en el sistema.
! ¡ADVERTENCIA!
Los focos Phad 4 y Phad 8 de SCUBAPRO se alimentan con pilas
alcalinas no recargables. Si carga estas pilas, provocará daños en la
unidad y podría sufrir lesiones personales. Si sustituye las pilas por
pilas recargables, siga las indicaciones del fabricante para cargarlas

schrauben. Die SCUBAPRO Lampenköpfe Phad 4 und Phad 8 sind mit einer

zubeugen. Eine zu starke Entladung kann zu irreparablen Schäden an den auf-
ladbaren Batterien führen. Sobald die Spannung der Phad 4 und Phad 8 Bat-
teriesätze zu tief sinkt, werden die Lampenköpfe Phad 4 und Phad 8 gedimmt
und in den Modus „Bring-mich-heim“ gesetzt. Im Modus „Bring-mich-heim“
liefert die Lampe während weiterer 72 Stunden gedämpftes Licht, das stark
genug ist, um Instrumente und einen Kompass abzulesen.
Die Phad Lampenköpfe sind mit Pulsweitenmodulation (PWM) aus-

Die Pulsweitenmodulation wird durch einen Mikroprozessor gesteuert, der:

Verwendung des Dimmers im Phad Lampenkopf
Nach dem ersten Einschalten leuchtet der Phad Lampenkopf mit 100% Leis-
tung. Wenn er innerhalb von 5 Sekunden erneut eingeschaltet wird, verringert
der Dimmer die Ausgangsleistung auf 50%. Wenn er nach einer Leuchtzeit
von mehr als 5 Sekunden neu eingeschaltet wird, leuchtet der Lampenkopf
mit 100% Leistung.
Verwendung des Stroboskop-Modus im Phad Lampenkopf
Wenn der Lampenkopf innerhalb von 5 Sekunden nach dem Verringern der
Ausgangsleistung auf 50% neu eingeschaltet wird, wird der Stroboskop-Mo-
dus aktiviert. Nach einem erneuten Einschalten leuchtet der Lampenkopf mit
100% Leistung.
Wichtig
Eine eingeschaltete Tauchlampe produziert neben Licht auch eine gewisse
Wärme. Eine intensive Verwendung der Lampe außerhalb des Wassers ver-
hindert eine angemessene Kühlung und kann zu Überhitzung führen. Die Phad
4 und Phad 8 Lampenköpfe sind jedoch mit einem Überhitzungsschutz aus-
gestattet, der die Ausgangsleistung reduziert, wenn die Lampenköpfe zu heiß
werden.

Phad Übersicht
Gehäuse
Das Gehäuse des Batteriesatzes SCUBAPRO Phad 4 und Phad 8 besteht aus
ABS, einem leichten, reibungsarmen und verschleißbeständigen Kunststoff.
Das Gehäuse des Lampenkopfs SCUBAPRO Phad 4 und Phad 8 besteht
aus salzwasserbeständigem Aluminium. Die Lampenköpfe wurden einer drei-
fachen Veredlung ausgesetzt, um eine harte und korrosionsfeste Oberfläche
zu erzielen.
Wasserdichtheit
Der Batteriesatz und die Lampenköpfe der Phad 4 und Phad 8 Lights verdanken
ihre wasserdichte Beschaffenheit den dauerhaften NBR-O-Ringen. Diese O-Ringe
sind ausschlaggebend und erfordern eine besondere Pflege und Beachtung. Die
O-Ringe müssen frei von Unreinheiten und Furchen sein. Durch das Silikonfett
sollten sie etwas Glanz aufweisen. Andernfalls müssen die O-Ringe mit einem
weichen, flusenfreien Tuch gereinigt und mit etwas Silikonfett versehen werden.
Jedes Mal, wenn der Batteriesatz des SCUBAPRO Phad Lights geladen wird,
sollte der Zustand der O-Ringe überprüft werden. Im Zweifelsfall wird empfohlen,
die O-Ringe zu ersetzen. In jedem Fall müssen sie nach etwa 50 Tauchgängen
ersetzt werden. Sie müssen mit größter Sorgfalt ausgetauscht werden. Auch der
Zustand der Oberfläche der Dichtung sollte auf Defekte geprüft werden.
Spülen
Es wird dringend empfohlen, den Batteriesatz und die Lampenköpfe des
SCUBAPRO Phad Lights nach jedem Tauchgang mit frischem Wasser zu spü-
len. Vergewissern Sie sich beim Spülen, dass der Batteriesatz mit den Lam-
penköpfen und dem Speisekabel (sofern vorhanden) vollständig verbunden ist,
damit kein Wasser eintritt.
! WARNUNG!
Die in SCUBAPRO Phad 4 und Phad 8 verwendeten Batteriesätze
enthalten nicht aufladbare Alkalibatterien. Das Laden dieser Batterien
kann diese Einheit beschädigen und zu Personenverletzungen führen.
Wenn diese Batterien durch aufladbare Batterien ersetzt werden, müs-
sen die Anweisungen des Herstellers zum Laden und Wiederaufladen
dieser Batterien befolgt werden.

nicht eingeschlossen). Alle Garantieansprüche müssen mit datierter Kaufbe-
scheinigung an einen autorisierten SCUBAPRO-Fachhändler gestellt werden.

De Phad lamp gebruiken
Phad 4 en Phad 8
Om de lamp aan te zetten moet de lampkop in het accupack of op de kabel
(indien van toepassing) geschroefd worden. U schakelt de lamp uit door de
lampkop een halve slag los te draaien. SCUBAPRO Phad 4 en Phad 8 lamp-
koppen zijn voorzien van een onderspanningbeveiliging ter voorkoming dat de
batterijen volledig ontladen worden, waardoor deze onherstelbaar beschadigd
zouden worden. Zodra de batterijen van de Phad 4 en Phad 8 bijna leeg zijn,
wordt de lampkop gedimd en ingesteld op de ‘thuiskom’-stand. In deze stand
heeft u nog 72 uur gedimd licht, voldoende om uw instrumenten en kompas
af te lezen.
De lampkoppen van de Phad zijn voorzien van een PWM-module
(Pulse Width Modulation - Pulsbreedtemodulatie)
PWM wordt geregeld door een microprocessor die:
- de batterijen perfect beheert en schade als gevolg van volledige ontlading
voorkomt;
- regelt dat de LEDs op vol vermogen worden gebruikt zonder overbelast te
worden;
- de lamp beschermt tegen oververhitting en met het oog daarop voortdurend
de temperatuur meet en indien nodig de stroomtoevoer verlaagt;
- extra mogelijkheden biedt, zoals de dimfunctie, de SOS-functie en de
flitsstand.
De dimfunctie van de Phad lamp gebruiken
Als u de Phad lamp aanzet, brandt de lampkop op vol vermogen. Als u de lamp
uit en binnen 5 seconden weer aanzet, brandt deze op 50% van het vermogen.
Zet u de lamp aan wanneer deze langer dan 5 seconden is uitgeschakeld, dan
brandt de lamp weer op vol vermogen.
De flitsmodus van de Phad lamp gebruiken
Als u de lamp binnen 5 seconden na het verlagen van het vermogen uit- en
opnieuw aanzet, staat de lamp in de flitsstand. Als u de lamp vervolgens weer
aan- en uizet, brandt de lamp op vol vermogen.
Belangrijk
Als een duiklamp brandt, produceert deze naast licht ook een bepaalde hoe-
veelheid warmte. Als de lamp boven water langdurig wordt gebruikt, kan deze
niet afkoelen en oververhit raken. De Phad 4- en Phad 8-lampkop zijn echter
beveiligd zodat het vermogen verlaagd wordt zodra de temperatuur van de
lampkop te hoog oploopt.

Overzicht Phad
Behuizing
De behuizing van het accupack van de SCUBAPRO Phad 4 en Phad 8 is
gemaakt van ABS, een lichtgewicht en slijtvast kunststof met minimale wrij-
vingsweerstand. De behuizing van de lampkop van de SCUBAPRO Phad 4
en Phad 8 is gemaakt van zoutwaterbestendig aluminium. Deze lampkoppen
zijn middels een drievoudige behandeling voorzien van een corrosiebestendige
beschermende coating.
Waterdichtheid
De accupacks en lampkoppen van de Phad 4 en Phad 8 danken hun water-
dichtheid aan duurzame NBR o-ringen. Deze o-ringen zijn van uitermate groot
belang. U dient er dan ook speciale zorg en aandacht aan te besteden. Er mag
geen vuil op zitten en ze mogen geen scheurtjes vertonen. Ze mogen slechts
licht glimmen van het siliconenvet. Als dat niet het geval is, dient u de o-ringen
te reinigen met een zachte niet-pluizende doek en vervolgens licht in te vetten
met siliconenvet. Elke keer dat het accupack van de SCUBAPRO Phad wordt
vervangen, moet u ook de o-ringen controleren. Aangeraden wordt om de
o-ringen te vervangen als u twijfelt aan hun staat, en in ieder geval na circa 50
duiken. Ze moeten met de nodige zorg worden vervangen. Controleer ook het
afdichtingoppervlak op beschadigingen.
Reinigen
Na elke duik dient u de behuizing van het accupack en de lampkop van de
SCUBAPRO Phad met schoon leidingwater af te spoelen. Zorg dat het ac-
cupack één geheel vormt met de lampkop en de kabel (indien van toepassing),
zodat er geen water in het systeem kan lopen.
! WAARSCHUWING!
De batterijen die worden gebruikt in accupacks van de SCUBAPRO
Phad 4 en Phad 8 zijn niet-oplaadbare alkaline batterijen. Als deze
opnieuw worden opgeladen, kan dit schade aan de lamp of persoonlijk
letsel tot gevolg hebben. Als u de batterijen vervangt door oplaadbare
batterijen, moet u zich houden aan de richtlijnen van de fabrikant ten
aanzien van het (opnieuw) opladen van de batterijen.

SCUBAPRO Phad lamp - Garantie
Op de SCUBAPRO Phad 4 en Phad 8 zit drie jaar garantie op technische com-
ponenten (exclusief batterijen), mits u een bewijs van aankoop bij een erkende
SCUBAPRO dealer kunt overleggen. Indien u aanspraak maakt op garantie,
dient u het product samen met het gedateerde bewijs van aankoop in te leve-
ren bij een erkende SCUBAPRO Dealer. Kijk op www.scubapro.com voor
de dealer bij u in de buurt.
Onder de garantie valt niet:
- Verlies.
- Defecten, schade of verslechtering als gevolg van normaal gebruik of normale
slijtage.
- Glas.
- Schade die ontstaat als gevolg van blootstelling aan extreme warmte of
agressieve chemicaliën of langdurige blootstelling aan zonlicht.
- Schade als gevolg van slecht onderhoud, onjuist gebruik, aanpassingen,
onachtzaamheid of een ongeluk.
- Schade als gevolg van reparatie door een persoon niet zijnde SCUBAPRO of
een erkende SCUBAPRO Dealer.
De eigenaar verklaart het product overeenkomstig de gebruikershandleiding te
gebruiken en zorgvuldig te onderhouden. Wij raden u aan de Pad 4 of Phad 8
voor periodiek onderhoud en reparatie in te leveren bij een erkende SCUBAPRO
Dealers of servicecentrum. Ongeacht de schade die kan ontstaan, is de ga-
rantie beperkt tot reparatie of eventuele vervanging van de SCUBAPRO Phad
4 of Phad 8.
