JurisdictionandOtherProvisions:ThisAgreementandtherelationshipbetweenVExpressionsLtd.andyoushallbe

governedinaccordancewiththelawsoftheStateofFlorida.AnydisputebetweenyouandVExpressionsLtd.regardingthis

AgreementwillbesubjecttotheexclusivejurisdictionofthestateandfederalcourtsintheStateofFlorida.



YouacknowledgethatyouhavereadthisAgreementandunderstanditandthat,bypurchasingand/orusingtheproduct,

Currentkitsinyourmodulewillbeoverwrittenduringaloadofanybackupfile.However,yourTDmodule’sfactoryreset

informationisneverdisturbedbyVExpressionLtdexpansions,andtheoriginalfactoryversionofyourmodulecan

alwaysberesetatanytimetoreturntoyourdefaultpurchasedstartingpoint.



Custommodificationsyoumighthavemadewillbeeraseduponloadingofourentireexpansion.Therefore,wehighly

recommendbackingupyourcurrentmodule’smemorytosaveanypersonalchanges(includingpadsettingadjustments)

beforeloadinganyexpansionfromVExpressionsLtd.(kitfilesareprovidedtoallowcopyingkitsinmanuallytoretain

personalpadsettings)



followRoland’sinstructionsforinstallingthelatestupdate.



Aftertheaboveisconfirmed,andwhenyouarereadytoproceed,pleasebeginwithSectionIbelow.





SectionI:PreparingyourdownloadedVEXExpansion



Makeabackupofyourdownloadedzipforsafekeepingbeforeyoubegin!(copytoHDD,USB,SD,etc.)



Step1:Createanewfolderonyourdesktopnamed“VEXYour_Expansion_Name_Here”.

Step2:Double‐clickyourdownloadedziponPCorMactoopenit.

Step3:Dragthecontentsinsidethedownloadedziptoyournewfolder“VEXYour_Expansion_Name_Here”.

Step4:Re‐numberourbackupTD0fileasdesiredfornumberlocationplacement.

Youmayrenameourbackupfileanynumberyouwish(001‐099).However,thefilenamemustremaininthe

originalRolandformat:(BKUP‐###.TD0).ThemoduleWILLNOTreadanythingdifferent.

Step5:Makeabackupofyourupdated“VEXYour_Expansion_Name_Here”folder.

Step6:ContinuewithsectionIIorIIIbelowasneeded.



2. Hi‐Hatperformingpoorly:Ensuretriggertype&re‐establishoffsetparameters.

3. Ridehasnobellsound:Ensuretriggertypeandorcheck&switchcables.

4. Snarenotperformingproperly:Ensuretriggertype.Adjustrim/headgainasneeded.Thiscanbebasedsolelyon

personalpreferenceandpadtype.





Tips&Tricks



Manyofourexpansionsandkitshavebeenmodeledslightlyonthe“wet”side.Wefindthatitiseasierforourcustomersto

“dial‐down”effects,ratherthantrytofindout“what’smissing”.Ifyoufeelsomethingisabitboomy,donotworry;we

designeditthatway!Simply“dial‐down”ambiance,effects,reverbormufflingtoreachyourpersonallydesiredlevel.



Whencreatingnewkitsviathecopyfunction,payattentionto“production”ofeachkit.Itisbettertostartwiththekit

whoseoverallproductionyoulikemosttocopyinto.Copythispreferred“production”kittoaneworblankbank.(thisis

your“recipient”kit)Fromthere,copyinotherdesiredcomponents(individualdrums,cymbals,etc.fromthe“donor”kits)

withthe“Inst/VEditOnly”contentsonly.Bytakingthesesteps,youcaneasilycreatenewcustomkitswithyourdesired
