The appliance should be installed by qualified personnel only.
Each step must be carried out and checked in full in the order specified.
Complete the installation of the appliance before plugging it in.
Fire hazard
Fire hazard! Models 12017–12019, 12029 contain the refrigerant R290, an environmentally friendly but flammable re-
frigerant. Keep open fire, ignition and/or heat sources such as burning candles, incense sticks, room heaters and the
like away from the appliances.
Check the appliance
Check the appliance for visible damage. Do not use the appliance if it is damaged in any way.
Keep all ventilation slits on the appliance clear and unobstructed, otherwise an adequate supply of air is not guaran-
teed.

C2 – Adhering the installation plate to the washing machine (washer-dryer tower)
In the case of the washer-dryer tower, do not drill any holes in the washing machine! Adhere the installation plate
into place!

D – Installing in a niche
For all niche variants, a 130° door stop (article no. W54086) must be used.
Provide ventilation openings of 400cm2 and 100cm2 in the places marked.
For niches with doors: Hinge the niche door on the same side as the appliance door.

F – Plumbing in
Never lengthen the drain hose from the tumble dryer!
Otherwise the pumping-off of the condensed water is not assured.
Never immerse the end of the drain hose from the tumble dryer in the water in the drain trap!
Never connect the drain hose from a tumble dryer to the drain hose from a washing machine!
Single appliance
Always position the drain hose from the tumble dryer above the overflow line 1.

GEBERIT concealed drain traps (152.236.00.1, 152.237.00.1) need to be obtained directly from the manufacturer.

G – Electrical connection
Electrical connections must be carried out by qualified personnel in accordance with the guidelines and standards
for low-voltage installations and the specifications of the local electricity supply companies.
A plug-in appliance may only be connected to a socket outlet with earthing contact, installed according to specifications. An
all-pole mains isolating device with 3 mm contact opening should be provided in the house wiring system. Switches, plug and
socket devices, circuit breakers and fusible cut-outs which are accessible after installation and which have all-poles switching
are permissible as isolating devices. Effective earthing and separately installed neutral and earth conductors ensure safe and
fault-free operation. After installation, live parts and cables with basic insulation must not be accessible. Check old installa-
tions.
▸Use at altitude: Electrical safety is guaranteed up to 2,000 m above sea level.
▸Refer to the identification plate for information on the required mains voltage, current type and fuse protection.
Plug
The mains plug must not be cut off.
Connection cable
The mains cable may only be replaced by the manufacturer, its Customer Services or a similarly qualified person.
Error message U1
The appliance detects overvoltage. Check the wiring, especially the neutral conductor.
Power supply outlet
For models installed in Switzerland:
Do not connect this appliance
►to a voltage source that is controlled by an external device such as a time switch, timer or device that regularly switches
the voltage to the outlet on and off (as in the case of a Mittagssperre or midday power shut-off),
►or to a voltage source that is switched by a CoinSystem1, CoinSystem2, CardSystem1, CardSystem2 or VESTA cash-
ier system from V-ZUG Ltd.
For models installed outside Switzerland:
The appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer, or connected to a circuit
that is regularly switched on and off by a utility.

H – Positioning and levelling the appliance on the installation plate
Applies to both free-standing appliances and appliances positioned in a niche.
The condensed water hose and connection cable must not be crushed between the rear of the appliance and the wall
or kinked during installation.
Install a tower panel if required.

The appliance must stand level with all 4 feet firmly on the installation plate and not wobble.

If the location of the appliance is changed, because of the heat pump it must stand in its final position for around 2
hours before it can be operated again. Failure to do this can result in damage to the appliance.
