1)Removethelterfromthelterbasket.Withasoft,drybrush,cleananyaccumulateddebris
fromthesidescreensofthelterandthelterbasket(Fig.18).
2) Afterrepeateduse,itmaybenecessarytowashthelterbasketandlter.Handwashinwarm
water.After washing, set aside and allow to air dry for 24 hours.
IMPORTANT:Ensurethelterandlterbasketarecompletelydrybeforereinstalling.
3)Insertthesparecleananddrylterintothebasketandtthebasketintothedustbinensuring
an air tight seal is formed around the dust bin opening.
4) Reconnect the dust bin to the handheld vacuum cleaner. To do so, position the locking tab on
the handheld unit within the locking grove located on the bottom of the dust bin. Press the other
end of the dust bin into position until you hear a ‘click’ (Fig. 19).
3. Cleaning the Motorised Floor Head and Removing Blockages
Themotorisedoorheadmayaccumulatedebrissuchasstrings,hairandbers.Thistypeof
debris can wrap around the brush and diminish its ability to clean effectively.
TheEasy-Cutbladeinthemotorisedoorheadwillcutmostdebrisaccumulationawayfromthe
brush roll. After every use, clean the brush roll with the Easy-Cut system by stepping on the button
for 1-2 seconds as illustrated while the vacuum cleaner is operating. Repeat above step more than
5 times for better performance (Fig. 20).
NOTE: It is recommended to use the Easy-Cut system while the battery is fully charged.
Remove Brush Roll for Manual Cleaning
WARNING! ThemotorisedoorheadcontainsanEASY-CUTblade.Ithasan
extremely sharp edge inside. Do not touch the blade when performing maintenance.
1) MakesurethevacuumcleaneristurnedOFF.Removetheoorheadfromthehandleassembly
and turn it over to access the brush roll.
2) Unlockthebrushrolltabusingaatheadscrewdriverorsimilartool(Fig.21).
3) Lift the brush roll out of the housing. Clean off debris and anything wrapped around the brush
(Fig. 22).
4) Alignthebrushrolltothedrivesiderst,theninserttheotherendcorrectly.Ensureitisfully
and securely placed onto the mounting bracket. Lock the brush roll into place by securing the
locking tab back into position (Fig. 23).
Remove Motorised Floor Head Blockages
1) Tocleanoutthemotorisedoorhead,pressthetworeleasebuttons,andpulltheheadaway
from the handle assembly (Fig. 24).
2) Flex the connection hose to ensure you can see straight through the other end. If you can see
any blockages in this area, carefully remove them.
3) Reattachthemotorisedoorheadontothevacuumbody(Fig.25).
NOTE: Do not use scissors or other sharp objects to remove a blockage from the hose as these
may damage the hose.
