Adjusting front seats:

In the 3-door hatch, the coupe and the
conv ertible, the handwhe el is on the
inboard side of the seat backrest. In the
4-door saloon and 5-door hatch and the
estate, it is on the outb oard sid e.
Ad just lumbar support to suit personal
re qu ir eme n t s.
Do not lean on seat backrest whilst
adjusting it.

Lift the release lever,
fold the backrest down and engage,
slide the se at forward.
To reposition the seat;
slide i t back as far as it wi ll go,
lift the release leve r,
restore the backrest to an upright
position

Fi ttin g seat belt:
Draw seat belt sm oo thly fro m in ertia-
reel, guide over shoulder
and engage in belt buckle
The belt must not be twisted at any point.
The lap belt must lie snugly against the
body. The front seat backrests m ust not be
tilted back too far (recommended tilting
angle approx. 25°).
To release belt, press red button on belt
buckle.

headlight flash is operated.

lever automatically returns to its original
position. This will not hap pen when making
a m inor steering manoeuvre such as
changing lane.
When lane changing, move lever to
res is ta nce po int. W h en re leas ed , th e le ve r
will spring back.
Cruise control operation:
Press button on stalk
Switch on: Tap button I.
Switch off: Tap button §.
Resume at stored speed: Tap button R.

Hazard warning lights:

To aid loc ation of the pushbutton, the red
surfac e is illuminated w hen the ignition is
switched on. When the button is pressed,
its control indicator flashes in time with the
hazard warning lights.

Operating windscreen and
headlight w ash systems 3:
Pull stalk tow ards steering wheel
The wip er will swipe for a few strokes.
The headlight wash system 3can be
operated when the lights are on.
On vehicles fitted with rain sensors 3,
operate the windscreen wash system at
regular intervals, to keep the sensor a rea
clean.

The rear window wiper works in timed
interval mode. Continuous wiping takes
place during washing.
