Unlocking:
To unlock driver’s door only:
Press button con remote control once
- or - turn key in driver’s door lock
towards front of vehicle, return it back to
the vertical position and remove.
To unlock entire vehicle:
Press button con remote control twice
within 5 seconds - or - turn key in lock on
one of the front doors towards front of
vehicle twice, turn it back to the vertical
position and remove.
Locking:
Press button eon remote control - or -
turn key in lock on one of the front doors
towards rear of vehicle, turn it back to
the vertical position and remove.
To lock with anti-theft locking system 3:
Press button eon remote control again
within 2 seconds of locking - or - with the
doors closed, turn key in lock on one of
the front doors towards rear of vehicle
again after locking, then turn it back to
the vertical position and remove.
Engine immobiliser:
zDeactivated when key is in ignition
zActivated when key is removed
Engine can not be started in any other
way so keep spare key in a safe place
Door lock cylinders:
Will free-wheel if forcefully rotated with
an incorrect key.
To reset, turn cylinder until the slot is
vertical using the correct key, then
remove and re-insert key. If cylinder still
free-wheels, turn key through 180º and
repeat the operation.

Vehic le features
Side air vents (1):
Unheated or heated air (depending on
the position of the temperature switch)
will be directed into the vehicle.
Turn knurled wheel clockwise to open
side air vents and anticlockwise to close.
To increase the air supply, set the fan to
a higher speed and set the air
distribution switch to M.
The air flow can be directed as desired
by tilting and swivelling the slats.
Window defroster nozzles (2):
Air distribution switch set to Vor J:
Unheated or heated air will be directed
onto the windscreen and onto the door
windows.
Fuel Filler Cap:
To open: Unlock filler cap with ignition
key 3 and unscrew. Remove filler cap
carefully so that pressure can escape
slowly.
Attach filler cap to bracket on flap and
turn to secure.
To close: Replace filler cap and turn,
overcoming the resistance, until the lock
on the cap engages audibly. Lock filler
cap with the ignition key 3.
Fuel Tank:
Use unleaded fuel for petrol engines.
Fuel tank capacity - 41 litres
Outside temperature:
A fall in temperature is indicated
immediately and a rise in temperature
after a time delay.
To warn the driver that the road surface
may be icy, when the temperature drops
below 3 °C the symbol :appears on the
display.
When the outside temperature
increases, the symbol :does not
disappear from the display until the
temperature reaches 5 °C.
Caution: The road surface may already
be icy even though the display indicates
a few degrees above 0 °C.
Trip odometer:
Switchable from overall odometer to
one of two trip odometers (A and B)
To switch from overall odometer (ODO)
to trip odometer A (TRIP A)
or trip odometer B (TRIP B):
Press the reset knob briefly to switch
between the three options.
Reset trip odometer A or B by
pressing and holding down the reset
knob for approx. 2 seconds.
Transmission:
Engaging reverse gear: With vehicle
stationary, 3 seconds after depressing
clutch, push lever to right and engage
reverse.
Engine oil:
Check every 300 miles and prior to long
journeys.
Important: It is the owner’s responsibility
to maintain the correct level of an
appropriate quality oil in the engine.
Tyre pressures (psi) for loads:
up to 3 persons full load

Seat adjustment:
1. Seat position
2. Backrest rake
Important: Do not sit nearer than 10
inches (25 cm) from the steering wheel,
to permit safe airbag deployment.
Adjustment of seat height 3:
Pull up lever at side of seat, relievesome
weight from seat to raise it or press down
on seat to lower it.
Never adjust seat whilst driving, it could
move in an uncontrolled manner.
Head restraints:
To adjust, tilt forwards, hold firmly and
adjust height then release.
The centre of the head restraint should
be at eye level.
Seat belts:
Draw smoothly from inertia reel, guide
over the shoulder and engage in buckle.
The belt must not be twisted at any
point. The lap belt must fit snugly across
the body. Front seat backrests must not
be tilted back too far (recommended
tilting angle approx. 25 degrees).
To release belt, press red button on belt
buckle.
Use of child restraint systems 3:
In vehicles with airbag systems 3, child
restraint systems must not be fitted on
front passenger seat - risk of fatal injury.
Safety cradles, Vauxhall Top Safe child
safety seats and Vauxhall child safety
seats should only be fitted on the rear
seats.
Above sticker is placed on the side of
instrument panel and is visible when
front door is open.
Child safety lock:
Use the child safety lock whenever
children are occupying the rear seats.
Disregard may lead to injuries or
endanger life.
Push the latch on rear door locks down:
Door cannot be opened from the inside.
Electrical exterior mirrors:
Four-way switch in driver’s door.
Toggle switch to left or right: Four-way
switch moves appropriate mirror.
Adjusting interior mirror:
Swivel mirror housing to any position.
Swivel lever on underside of mirror
housing to reduce dazzle at night.
Disengaging steering column lock:
Move the steering wheel slightly and turn
the key to position 1.
Starting the engine:
Gear lever in neutral with clutch
depressed. Depress foot brake, do not
accelerate, turn key to 3.
Light switch:

?Headlight range adjustment
Headlight range adjustment:
Reduces dazzle for oncoming traffic by
electrically repositioning the headlights
according to the load in the car.
Loading:
0 = Front seats only
1 = All seats
2 = All seats and luggage
3 = Driver’s seat only and luggage
Operating main and dipped beam:
Push stalk forwards = Main beam
Pull stalk towards
steering wheel = Dipped beam
Headlight flash: Pull stalk towards
steering wheel, overcoming slight
resistance.
Operating turn signal lights:
Stalk in rest position
Right turn = Upwards
Left turn = Downwards
When steering wheel is turned back, the
stalk automatically returns to its original
position. When lane changing, move
stalk to resistance point. When released,
stalk will spring back.
Windscreen wiper:
Move stalk up
§= Off
$= Timed interval wipe
%= Slow
&= Fast
Warning: In freezing conditions, wiper
blades can freeze to windscreen. Release
blades from the ice before starting the
vehicle, to prevent wiper motor and
blade damage.
Operating windscreen wash system:
Pull stalk towards steering wheel.
The wiper will swipe for a few strokes.
Rear window wiper and wash systems:
Wiper on = Push stalk forward
Wiper off = Pull stalk towards steering
wheel
Wash = Push stalk forward and hold
Clearing misted / icy windows:
Turn fan and temperature rotary
switches clockwise, set air distribution
to V. To switch on air conditioning, pull
temperature switch n. Open side air
vents and direct towards door windows.
