This manual describes all options
and features available for the
various Infotainment systems.
Certain descriptions, including those
for display and menu functions, may
not apply to this vehicle due to model
variant, country specifications,
special equipment or accessories.
Important information on
operation and traffic safety
9Warning
The Infotainment system must be
used so that the vehicle can be
driven safely at all times. If in
doubt, stop the vehicle and
operate the Infotainment system
while the vehicle is stationary.
Radio reception
Radio reception may be disrupted by
static, noise, distortion or loss of
reception due to:
● changes in distance from the
transmitter
● multipath reception due to
reflection
● shadowing

Basic operation
Screen operations
The display of the Infotainment
system has a touch-sensitive surface
that allows direct interaction with the
displayed menu controls.
Caution
Do not use pointed or hard items
like ballpoint pens, pencils or
similar for touchscreen operation.
Use the following finger gestures to
control the Infotainment system.
Touch
Touch is used to open a menu or
select an option.
Touch and hold
Touch and hold can be used to save
radio stations.
Scrolling through a menu
To scroll through a menu, touch Y or
Z.
Returning to the previous screen
To return to the previous screen,
touch 5 in the upper left corner of the
screen.
Returning to the radio / media screen
To return to the radio / media screen,
touch A.

Adjusting settings
Some setting submenus include the
following buttons: g, h, Y and Z.
Touch them to adjust a corresponding
setting.
System settings
To display the system settings menu,
press 6.
Submenus are available for the
following topics:
● Display: Adjust the display
brightness, set the display mode,
set the display language, set the
units, activate or deactivate an
audible signal for touchscreen
operation and display Trip B on
the screen.
● Voice commands: Set the length
of the voice system responses
and display suggestions with
different options during a voice
session.
● Time / date: Set the time and
format, activate or deactivate the
digital clock in the status bar,
activate or deactivate the
automatic time and set the date.
● Safety / assistance: Display the
rear view camera in reverse gear
and maintain the screen of the
rear view camera for a maximum
of 10 seconds or up to 8 mph,
adjust the front collision warning
and the blind spot alert and set
the trailer length.
● Lights: Set the sensor sensitivity
and activate or deactivate the
high beam assist.
● Doors / locks: Activate or
deactivate the automatic locking
of the doors when the vehicle is
moving.
● Vehicle off options: Adjust the
time for the automatic radio
switch-off after the engine has
been switched off.
● Audio: Adjust the equaliser,
balance / fade, volume / speed,
loudness, set the automatic radio
switch-on when starting or
recover the active state when the
vehicle was last switched off and
activate or deactivate the
automatic playback of media.
● Phone / Bluetooth: View a list of
paired Bluetooth devices and add
or delete a Bluetooth device.
● Radio setup: Activate or
deactivate traffic
announcements, alternative
frequency, regional mode, DAB
announcements and select the
announcement categories.
● Restore settings: Restore the
default settings of the screen
settings, clock settings, sound
settings and radio settings.
● Clear personal data: Delete
personal data, Bluetooth devices
and built-in presets.

Radio screen
Press RADIO to open the radio
screen.
Switching the radio stations
Touch Z briefly to perform an
automatic search for the next radio
station.
Touch and hold Z to perform a quick
search for the next radio stations.
Touch Y briefly to perform an
automatic search for the previous
radio station.
Touch and hold Y to perform a quick
search for the previous radio stations.
Saving radio stations
Saved radio stations will be displayed
in the top line of the radio screen.
Touch the desired radio station to
tune in.
To open a list of all saved radio
stations, touch the button on the right
end of the top line. Each button in the
list can be used to save the current
radio station.
To save a radio station, touch and
hold the desired button. Buttons
which are already used for radio
stations can be overwritten.
Radio settings
The audio settings and the waveband
can be adjusted via the buttons in the
bottom line of the radio screen.
Additionally, the available radio
stations can be sorted by categories
and information about the current
radio station can be displayed.
Media screen
Press MEDIA to open the media
screen.
Playing audio files
Touch 4 to play back or pause.
Touch Z briefly to play the next track.
Touch and hold Z to fast-forward the
currently playing track.
Touch Y briefly to play the previous
track.
Touch and hold Y to rewind the
currently playing track.

Media settings
The audio settings, the audio source
and further settings can be adjusted
via the buttons in the bottom line of
the media screen.
Additionally, all audio files can be
sorted by categories and information
about the currently playing track can
be displayed.

Navigation
Navigation system
Press NAV to open the navigation
screen.
The terms and conditions need to be
accepted when starting the
navigation system.
Starting a route guidance
To start a route guidance, touch the
navigation button on the navigation
screen.
To enter an address directly, open the
address menu. The postal code. the
street name and the house number
can be entered.
Alternatively, the home address, a
point of interest, a recent destination
or a favourite destination can be
selected.
Active route guidance
During an active route guidance, the
estimated time of arrival, the
remaining time and the next driving
manoeuvre will be indicated in the
bottom line of the navigation screen.
To listen to a voice prompt of the next
driving manoeuvre, touch the display
indication of the driving manoeuvre.
To display more details about the
route, touch the display indication of
the estimated time of arrival. The
entire route will be displayed. The
route can also be changed.
By touching the details button on this
screen, a further menu will be display
to view more information about the
route, e.g. a route summary, traffic on
the route and the following driving
manoeuvres. Also further settings
can be adjusted, e.g. points of interest
on the map.
Services
To activate or deactivate RDS traffic
or the speed camera function, if
available, open the services menu of
the navigation screen and open the
corresponding submenus.
Settings
To adjust the navigation settings,
open the settings menu on the
navigation screen. The following
settings can be adjusted:
● day or night mode
● activation of voice guidance and
voice settings
● favourite destinations
● home address
● safety settings
● map settings
● points of interest on map
● navigation updates

● units and keyboard
● reset the factory settings
Map updates
To install a map update, proceed as
follows:
1. Use an empty USB device with at
least 16 GB memory and FAT32
formatting.
2. Install TomTom HOME on a
computer and create a
MyTomTom account.
3. Download the map data and save
it onto the USB device.
4. Connect the USB device with the
Infotainment system and follow
the steps on the screen.
The updating process will take at
least 30 minutes. Do not remove the
USB device or turn off the system until
the update has finished. The system
cannot be used until the update has
finished.
Help
To learn more about the navigation
system or to view further information
and instructions, open the help menu
on the navigation screen.

Speech recognition
Activating speech recognition for
radio and media functions
Press Y on the steering wheel to start
a speech recognition for radio or
media functions.
Some example voice commands will
be displayed on the Info Display.
Activating speech recognition for
phone functions
Press 6 on the steering wheel to
start a speech recognition for phone
functions.
Some example voice commands will
be displayed on the Info Display.

Bluetooth connection
Press PHONE to open the phone
screen.
Once a mobile phone is connected to
the Infotainment system, the following
functions are available via buttons on
the phone screen:
● display the contact list
● display a list of the recent calls
● display text messages
● dial a telephone number
Pairing a mobile phone
To pair a mobile phone, open the
settings menu on the phone screen.
A list of all paired mobile phones will
be displayed. Touch the
corresponding button on the left
screen side to pair a new mobile
phone.
Once the mobile phone is
successfully paired, it will be
connected automatically and shown
as connected.
Connecting and disconnecting a
mobile phone
Only paired mobile phones can be
connected to the Infotainment
system.
To connect or disconnect a mobile
phone, open the settings menu and
select the desired mobile phone. The
selected mobile phone can be
connected, disconnected or deleted.
Making a call
To make a call, choose one of the
contacts from the contact list, dial a
telephone number via the keyboard
or select a number from the recent
calls list.
Receiving a call
An incoming call is announced by a
ring and a message on the Info
Display.
To accept an incoming call, touch the
corresponding button on the Info
Display or press 6 on the steering
wheel.
To refuse or hang up the call, touch
the corresponding button on the Info
Display or press 3 on the steering
wheel.
