Die Einbauanleitung beschreibt den Einbau eines VDO Dayton Navigationssystems unter Verwendung des Einbausatzes
von Mazda, Teile-Nr. 3600-78-339X.
Optional empfehlen wir weiterhin die Verwendung des Einbaurahmen MA 2400/00.
☞Der Einbauort unter dem Beifahrersitz ist als Beispiel zu verstehen.
Bei Option Bose Soundsystem ist ein anderer Einbauort (Kofferraum oder unter dem Fahrersitz) zu wählen.
The fitting instruction describes the installation of a VDO Dayton Navigation System by using the Mazda installation kit, part
No. 3600-78-339X.
Optional we recommend the usage of the installation frame MA 2400/00.
☞Installation under the passenger seat is given as an example.
If the car is equipped with the option Bose Soundsystem a differend place has to be chosen (trunk or under the dri-
ver's seat).
Les instructions de montage décrivent l'installation du système de navigation VDO Dayton à l'aide du kit de montage Mazda,
référence 3600-78-339X.
Nous recommandons en option l'utilisation du cadre de montage MA 2400/00.
☞L'endroit d'installation sous le siège passager est indiqué à titre d'exemple.
Au cas où la voiture est équipée de l'option Bose Soundsystem il faut choisir un autre endroit d'installation (coffre ou
sous le siège conducteur).
Le istruzioni di montaggio descrivono il montaggio di un sistema di navigazione VDO Dayton con l'uso del kit di montaggio
Mazda, art. 3600-78-339X.
In alternativa consigliamo l'uso del supporto di montaggio MA 2400/00.
☞Il punto d'installazione sotto il sedile del passeggero è indicato solo a titolo di esempio.
In caso di equipaggiamento con Bose Soundsystem, occorre scegliere un punto d'installazione diverso (nel bagagli-
aio o sotto il sedile del conducente).
Las Instrucciones de montaje describen el montaje de un sistema de navegación VDO Dayton empleando el kit de montaje
de Mazda, Nº de pieza 3600-78-339X.
Como opción recomendamos la utilización del bastidor de instalación MA 2400/00.
☞El lugar de instalación debajo del asiento del pasajero está indicado a título de ejemplo.
En caso de que el coche esté equipado con la opción Bose Soundsystem, se ha de escoger otro lugar de instalación
(maletero o debajo del asiento del pasajero).

Minuspol der Batterie abklemmen. Schalthebelabdeckung, Becherhalter und Aschenbecher ausbauen. Dazu Schaltknopf
abschrauben. Alle Teile sind mit Klipsen befestigt.
De-connect negative pole of the battery. Remove gear lever knob cover, cup holder and ashtray. Screw off the gear lever
knob. All parts are fixed with clips.
Débrancher le câble négatif de la batterie. Déposer le soufflet du levier de vitesse, le porte-gobelets et le cendrier.
Dévisser le pommeau du levier de vitesse. Toutes les pièces sont fixées avec des clips.
Staccare il polo negativo della batteria. Smontare la cuffia della leva del cambio, il portabicchiere e il posacenere, svitan-
do il pomello della leva del cambio. Tutti gli elementi sono fissati con delle clips.
Desembornar el cable negativo de la batería. Desmontar la tapa de la palanca de velocidades, el portavasos y el ceni-
cero. Desenroscar el pomo de la palanca de velocidades. Todas las piezas están sujetas con clips.
Handschuhfach rechts ausbauen, Fach öffnen, seitliche Stopper aushängen und Fach herausnehmen.
Remove the glove box on the right side, open compartment, hang out side stoppers and remove compartment.
Déposer la boîte à gants côté droit, ouvrir le couvercle, dégager les butées latérales et déposer la boîte à gants.
Smontare il cassetto portaguanti a destra, aprire il cassetto, sganciare gli arresti laterali ed estrarre il cassetto.
Desmontar la guantera situada a la derecha, abrir el compartimento, desenganchar los topes laterales y extraer el com-
partimento.

Radio-Lüftungseinheit mit Radio komplett ausbauen, dazu Schrauben am unteren Rand der Blende links und rechts lösen.
Schraube rechts an der Radiohalterung lösen (zu erreichen durch die Öffnung des ausgebauten Handschuhfachs).
Drehknöpfe der Gebläseschalter abziehen (nur bei manueller Heizung), rechts und links Schrauben lösen und Radio-
Lüftungseinheit mit Radio herausziehen. Anschlussstecker abziehen und Radio-Lüftungseinheit herausnehmen.
Remove radio-ventilation unit completely. Unfasten screws at the lower edge of the bezel on left and right side. Loosen
screw at the right radio fixation (to be reached through the opening of the removed glove box compartment). Remove the
rotary knobs of the fan switch, loosen screws to the left and right and pull out radio-ventilation unit. (Only remove rotary
knobs and fan switch when the heating is manually operated). Pull out the connector and remove radio-ventilation unit.
Déposer l'ensemble radio-ventilation. Retirer les vis de l'arête inférieure de l'encadrement côtés gauche et droit. Desserrer
la vis de la fixation droite de l'autoradio (accessible par le logement de la boîte à gants). Retirer les sélecteurs rotatifs du
commutateur de ventilateur, desserrer les vis gauches et droites et sortir l'ensemble radio-ventilation. (Ne retirer les sélec-
teurs rotatifs que sur les chauffages manuels). Débrancher le connecteur et déposer l'ensemble radio-ventilation.
Smontare completamente l'unità radio-ventilatore assieme alla radio, svitando le viti sul bordo inferiore del pannello a
destra e sinistra. Svitare la vite del fissaggio della radio sul lato destro (raggiungibile attraverso l'apertura del cassetto por-
taguanti smontato). Rimuovere le manopole degli interruttori dei ventilatori (solo per riscaldamento manuale), svitare le viti
a destra e sinistra e estrarre l'unità radio-ventilatore assieme alla radio. Staccare la spina di collegamento e rimuovere l'u-
nità radio-ventilatore.
Desmontar por completo el conjunto radio-ventilación. Retirar los tornillos del borde inferior del marco en los lados izquier-
do y derecho. Desenroscar el tornillo de fijación de la derecha en el soporte de la radio (accesible a través de la abertu-
ra de la guantera desmontada). Retirar los selectores rotativos del conmutador del ventilador (sólo si la calefacción es
manual), desenroscar los tornillos de la derecha y de la izquierda y extraer el conjunto radio-ventilación. Desenchufar la
clavija de conexión y extraer el conjunto radio-ventilación.

Ablagefach in der Mitte des Armaturenbretts ausbauen, dazu Schrauben an der Unterkante lösen.
Remove stowage tray in the middle of the instrument panel. For this purpose loosen screws at the lower edge.
Déposer le casier de rangement du milieu du tableau de bord. Desserrer les vis de l'arête inférieure.
Smontare il vano portaoggetti al centro del cruscotto, svitando le viti sul bordo inferiore.
Desmontar la bandeja portaobjetos en el centro del tablero de instrumentos. Para este fin desenroscar los tornillos del
borde inferior.
Beifahrersitz ausbauen und herausnehmen. Dismantle passenger seat and remove it.
Dégager et déposer le siège passager. Smontare e togliere il sedile passeggero.
Desmontar el asiento del pasajero y extraer.
2. GPS-Antenne-Einbau / Fitting of the GPS-Antenna / Montage de l'antenne GPS /
Montaggio dell'antenna GPS / Montaje de la antena GPS
Die GPS-Antenne auf die Mitte des Heizungskastens kleben. Anschlusskabel nach rechts zur Beifahrerseite führen.
Glue the GPS-antenna onto the centre point of the heating compartment. Connecting cable should be routed via the right
side in the direction of the passenger seat.
Caler l'antenne GPS au centre de l'enveloppe de chauffage. Le câble étant disposé vers le côté droit, vers le siège pas-
sager.
Incollare l'antenna GPS al centro della scatola del riscaldamento. Portare il cavo di collegamento a destra sul lato pas-
seggero.
Encolar la antena GPS en el centro del compartimento de la calefacción. Conducir el cable de conexión hacia la derecha
en la dirección del asiento del conductor.

3.1 Nach Ausbau des oberen Ablagefaches seitliche Federn aushängen und seitliche Scharnierstifte mit passender
Blechtreibschraube (ca. 6-8 mm eindrehen) herausziehen.
After the dismantling of the upper stowage tray, hang out the lateral springs and pull out lateral hinge bolts with mat-
ching tapping screw (fasten to approx. 6-8 mm).
Après démontage du casier de rangement supérieur, dégager les ressorts latéraux et extraire les vis de charnières
avec une vis appropriée (l'engager d'environ 6-8 mm).
Dopo lo smontaggio del vano portaoggetti superiore, sganciare le molle laterali ed estrarre i perni delle cerniere laterali
con una vite autofilettante appropriata (avvitare per circa 6-8 mm).
Después del desmontaje de la bandeja portaobjetos superior, desenganchar los muelles laterales y extraer los pasa-
dores laterales de la bisagra con un tornillo de chapa autorroscante apropiado (introducir aprox. 6-8 mm).
3.2 Ablagefachdeckel ausbauen.
Dismantle cover of stowage tray.
Déposer le cache du plateau.
Smontare il coperchio del vano portaoggetti.
Desmontar la tapa de la bandeja portaobjetos.

3.3 Bohrschablonen ausschneiden und auf den Teilen mit
Klebeband fixieren.
Cut out drilling template and fix on the parts with
adhesive tape.
Découper le gabarit de perçage et le fixer sur les piè-
ces avec du ruban adhésif.
Ritagliare le maschere di foratura e fissarle con del
nastro adesivo sulle parti.
Cortar la plantilla para taladrar y fijarla sobre las pie-
zas con cinta adhesiva.
3.4 Löcher und Ausschnitt entsprechend der Vor-
gaben erstellen. Bei den Bohrungen im Deckel
ist darauf zu achten, dass nur der innere
Deckel angebohrt wird und die Vorderseite nicht
durchbohrt bzw. beschädigt wird!!!
Create holes and cutout according to directions.
When drilling into the cover it has to be considered to
drill into the inner cover only, but not to drill through as
damage to the front side of the cover may occur.
Percer les trous et les découpes selon les indications.
Lors des perçages dans le cache ne percer que le
cache intérieur, sans traverser pour éviter de détério-
rer la face avant du cache.
Eseguire i fori e ritagli conformemente alle indicazioni.
Per i fori nel coperchio, occorre fare attenzione a fora-
re solo il coperchio interno, senza perforare o danneg-
giare il lato anteriore!!!
Hacer los agujeros y las entallas según las indicaciones. ¡¡¡Al hacer los agujeros en la tapa hay que prestar atención
a que sólo se taladre la tapa interior y no se perfore o dañe la cara delantera!!!
3.5 Löcher und Ausschnitt entgraten.
Deburr holes and cutout.
Ebavurer les trous et découpes.
Sbavare i fori e ritagli.
Desbarbar los agujeros y entallas.

3.6 Scharnier entsprechend Abbildung
vormontieren.
Prepare fitting of hinge according to graphic.
Préparer le montage de la charnière comme indiqué
sur la figure.
Preparare il montaggio della cerniera come indicato
nella figura.
Preparar el montaje de la bisagra como se indica en
la figura.
Selbstsichernde Mutter (E) nur so stark anziehen, dass das
Scharnier noch frei beweglich bleibt.
Fasten nut (E) only to a certain point, so that the hinge stays
flexible.
Serrer l'écrou (E) jusqu' à un certain point pour que l'articula-
tion de la charnière reste souple.
Stringere il bullone autobloccante (E) in maniera tale che la
cerniera rimanga ancora flessibile.
Apretar la tuerca autoblocante (E) solo hasta que la bisagra
aún pueda moverse libremente.
3.7 Scharnierlappen (A) mit dem untersten Punkt der Langlöcher an den vorgebohrten Befestigungslöchern positionieren
und mit 2 Blechtreibschrauben (F) befestigen.
Position hinged lid (A) with the lowest point of the long holes at the pre-drilled fixation holes and fix with 2 self tapping
screws (F).
Positionner le couvercle articulé (A) avec le point le plus bas des boutonnières au niveau des trous de fixation pré-
percés et le fixer avec les 2 vis auto-taraudeuses (F).
Posizionare l'ala della cerniera (A) con il punto inferiore delle asole sui fori di fissaggio preparati e fissare con 2 viti
autofilettanti (F)
Posicionar la solapa de la bisagra (A) con el punto más bajo de los agujeros alargados al nivel de los agujeros de
sujeción previamente taladrados y fijarla con los 2 tornillos autorroscantes (F).

3.8 Ausrichtung der vormontierten Monitoreinheit zum
Einbau in das Ablagefach.
Alignment of the pre-mounted monitor unit for
installation in stowage tray.
L’orientation de l’unité de moniteur pre-assemblée
pour l’installation dans le casier de rangement.
Allineamento dell'unità monitor per il montaggio nel
vano portaoggetti.
Alineación de la unidad del monitor premontada
para la instalación en la bandeja portaobjetos.
3.9 Schaumstoffblock (L) gemäß Bohrschablone aus-
richten, mit der selbstklebenden Seite an der
Gehäuserückwand fixieren und andrücken.
Vormontierten Halterahmen an den vorgebohrten
Löchern im Gehäuseboden ausrichten und mit den
Blechtreibschrauben (F) befestigen.
Position foam block (L) according to drilling templa-
te, fix with self adhesive side at the rear wall of the
casing and press on.
Position pre-installed holding frame at the pre-dril-
led holes in the bottom of the casing and fix with
self tapping screws (F).
Positionner le bloc de mousse (L) en utilisant le
gabarit de perçage, fixer sa face adhésive sur la
face arrière du boîtier et appuyer dessus.
Positionner le cadre de support pré-monté sur les
trous du fond du boîtier et le fixer avec les vis auto-taraudeuses (F).
Posizionare il blocco di schiuma espansa (L) secondo la maschera di foratura e fissarlo con il lato adesivo alla parete
posteriore del vano facendolo aderire a pressione.
Posizionare la cornice di supporto premontata sui fori preparati sul fondo del vano e fissarla con le viti autofilettanti
(F).
Posicionar el bloque de goma-espuma (L) según la plantilla para taladrar, fijar con la cara autoadhesiva en la pared
posterior de la carcasa y presionar.
Posicionar el bastidor de sujeción premontado en los agujeros previamente taladrados en el fondo de la carcasa y
sujetarlo con los tornillos autorroscantes (F).
