Bestimmungsgemäße Verwendung
Die Komponenten der SmartAisle™-Lösung
sind vorgesehen für Rechenzentren in trocke-
ner Industrieumgebung. Die Verwendung z.B. in
einem Feuchtraum oder
im Freien gilt als nicht bestimmungsgemäß.

We are delighted that you have decided to buy
the SmartAisle™ solution from Vertiv Integrated
Systems GmbH.
SmartAisle™ comprises all the main components
for cold aisle containments for data centres.
Validity of this manual

SmartAisle™ components from Vertiv Integrated
Systems GmbH:

– Swing door with automatic door closer
– Sliding door with mechanical closer
– Sliding door with electrical closer

Proper usage
The components of the SmartAisle™ solution
are designed for computer centres used in a dry
industrial environment. Their use in other areas,
for example in a wet room or outdoors, shall be
deemed improper.
The manufacturer will refuse all warranty and
liability claims caused by improper usage or
if components are added or modified without
authorisation.

– Spirit level
– 6mm Allen key
– 13mm and 19mm open-ended spanner
– Torx screwdrivers TX25, TX30 and TX50
– Side cutting pliers
Preparation
1Level the cabinets and position them side by
side.
2Divide the cold and warm sections
of the cabinets.
3Seal openings in the double floor
(for example cable passages).
4Provide fastening material (screws, screw
anchors) for wall mounting (not included with
delivery!)

Angle sections
• Position angle sections with air regulation
openings at the cabinet side of the aisles, with-
out air regulation openings at the wall side.
– The U-shaped opening faces the rear wall of
the cabinet.
– The angle section closes flush with the front of
the cabinet cover.
• Use the boreholes in the cabinet cover.
• Remove the webs in the angle sections with
side cutting pliers if necessary.
• Secure each angle section using at least two
screws (A1).
• Do not bolt the angle sections at the ends of
the aisles.
• As from two angle sections per aisle side:
Connect two angle sections with cover strips
and four screws (A2).
Cornières
• Installer les cornières avec/sans les orifices de
régulation d'air au côté de la baie (A)/au côté
du mur (B).
– L'ouverture en U est tournée vers le panneau
arrière de la baie.
– La cornière affleure par rapport à la face fron-
tale du recouvrement de la baie.
• Utiliser les orifices existants sur la baie.
• Le cas échéant, éliminer les nervures de la cor-
nière à l'aide de la pince coupante diagonale.
• Fixer chaque cornière avec deux vis au mini-
mum (A1).
• Ne pas visser les cornières à l'extrémité de
l'allée.
• A partir de deux cornières pour chaque côté
de l'allée : relier deux cornières avec un cou-
vercle de raccordement et quatre vis (A2).
3.1 Winkelprofile
• Winkelprofile mit Luftregulierungs-öffnungen
an der Schrankseite platzieren (A), ohne
Luftregulierungsöffnungen an der Wandseite
(B).
– U-Öffnung zeigt zur Schrank-Rückwand.
– Winkelprofil schließt plan mit Vorderseite der
Schrankabdeckung ab.
• Bohrungen im Schrankdeckel verwenden.
• Stege im Winkelprofil ggf. mit Seiten-schneider
entfernen.
• Jedes Winkelprofil mit mindestens zwei
Schrauben befestigen (A1).
• Winkelprofile an den Gangenden nicht ver-
schrauben.
• Ab zwei Winkelprofilen pro Gangseite:
Je zwei Winkelprofile mit Übergangs-
abdeckung und vier Schrauben verbinden
(A2).

Separating strips
• Fit separating strips at intervals of 600mm
or 800mm depending on the width of the
Plexiglas panels.
• Secure the end separating strips flush with the
angle sections to act as closing elements using
two screws on each.
• Secure separating strips diagonally to act as
interim elements using two screws on each
(D).
• Zwischenräume mit Schaumstoffstreifen
ausfüllen.
Barres de séparation
• Monter les barres de séparation à une distance
de 600mm ou de 800mm selon la largeur
des plaques de plexiglas.
• Fixer les barres de séparation d'extrémité au
ras des cornières en éléments de bordure au
moyen de deux vis chacune.
• Fixer en diagonale les barres de séparation en
guise d'éléments intercalaires au moyen de

Schrauben befestigen.
• Trennleisten als Zwischenelemente
mit jeweils zwei Schrauben diagonal befestigen
(D).
• Zwischenräume mit Schaumstoffstreifen
ausfüllen.

• Remove the cover plate of the air regulation
opening in the angle bracket (or in the sepa-
rating strip for aisle extinguishing).
• Install/snap the sensor onto the air duct (I1).
• Attach the SensorBOX from the outside to the
angle bracket (I2).

Retaining rail
• Align the retaining rail horizontally.
• Install the retaining rail at a distance of
2 082mm to the underside of the retaining
rail (E).

Äußere Türstopper montieren
• Auf die Ausrichtung der Türstopper achten.

Greifer zeigen nach außen.

• Türstopper mit je zwei Schrauben rechts und
links in Laufschiene montieren. Dabei Abstand
von 100mm zu den Enden der Laufschiene
einhalten.

Handles point outwards.
– Sliding door with mechanical door closer:
Handles point inwards.
• Attach the door stoppers in the rail using
two screws on the left and right. Maintain a
distance of 100mm to the ends of the rail.

• Tür schließen.
• Mitnehmer an Sollbiegestellen um Zahnriemen
biegen (N1) und festschrauben (N2).
• Wird der Mitnehmer um den vorderen
Zahnriemen gebogen, öffnet die Tür nach links,
beim hinteren Zahnriemen nach rechts.
• Close the door.
• Bend the cam around the toothed belt at its
bending point (N1) and secure it (N2).
• When the driver is bent over the front-sided
drive belt, the door opens towards the left-
hand side. For the rear drive belt it opens
towards the right-hand side.
• Fermer la porte.
• Recourber le taquet d'entraînement aux
endroits prescrits autour de la courroie dentée
(N1), puis serrer les vis (N2).
• Le taquet d'entraînement peut être recourbé
autour de la courroie dentée avant (la porte
s’ouvre vers la gauche) ou arrière (la porte
s’ouvre vers la droite).
