Installation and Operation

Choosing a Location
e Outdoor Animal Repeller works on a variety of pests, including raccoons, rodents,
armadillos, bats, cats, dogs and deer. It can also keep farm animals, such as cows, from
wandering and feeding in areas where they are not wanted. Before installing, take some
time to choose a location where the Outdoor Animal Repeller is most needed. is may be:
• e garden
• Trash cans
If possible, it is a good idea to have several mounting points in a single area. is way the
unit can be moved periodically, creating an ever-changing environment that is hostile
to pests. e Outdoor Animal Repeller works best in clear areas. Trees and other objects
can block the PIR (Passive Infrared) motion sensor from detecting pests, and they also
keep the ultrasonic sound from reaching an optimum distance. In a clear space, the unit
covers a 30 (9m) radius. Multiple units may be benecial for larger properties.
Installation
•e Outdoor Animal Repeller requires 4 AA batteries which must be installed in the
back panel before mounting the unit.
•Place two screws in the desired mounting area. Be sure that the screws are not in
danger of penetrating any electrical wiring or pipes. Mount unit by sliding the slots on
the back panel over the screws.

•Keep in mind that the unit must be between
5in (13cm) to 14in (35.5cm) above the ground
to ensure the area is adequately exposed to
the ultrasonic signal. Also be sure that there is
nothing blocking the white PIR motion sensor
bar so that the Outdoor Animal Repeller can
detect when pests are near and send out a blast
of ultrasonic noise.
•Turn the switch at the bottom of the unit from
“OFF” to “ON.” e LED light on the unit should
turn on for a few seconds. If it does not turn on,
your batteries may be defective or the unit
may need to be replaced. Whenever the
PIR motion sensor detects movement,
the LED will illuminate and the ultrasonic
speaker will run for 30-60 seconds.
e ultrasonic sound produced by the
Outdoor Animal Repeller cannot be heard
by people or sh.
•If storms are expected, bring the unit
indoors to avoid damage.
•Do not submerge unit in water.

WARNINGS
Although the sound produced by the Outdoor Animal Repeller is ultrasonic and cannot
be heard by humans, prolonged exposure to the sound can cause hearing damage in
humans. Please take the following precautions to avoid this hazard:
•If people will be in range of the unit for a long period of time, turn it o until the area
is cleared. e presence of people will typically repel pests while the unit is o.
•Do not point the unit at populated areas.
•Do not point the unit towards your own or a neighbor’s house.
•Do not place in a house except in an attic or basement that is not oen entered.
•Also, do not point towards caged or leashed animals. ey will constantly set o the
unit and it will damage their health and hearing.
