Controls
Scanner controls are available in Phase Eight modules and
in two control voltages. Refer to Table Ifor a listing of
controls and their associated scanners. Each control
provides pushbutton operation of the scanner in both the
manual and automatic modes, a POWER switch, and an
indicator lamp.
Line Cord Option: Model
V32OOLC
Line Cord permits the
12OV versions of the V3200AP and V32 1 OAP scanners to be
connected directly to a 120V convenience outlet. The
V32OOLC consists of six-foot # 18 AWG two-conductor VW-
1 cable fitted with an unpolarized two-prong plug and a
keyed AMP connector with a positive locking device.

The Vicon
V114WM
and
V1600WM
Wall Mounts are de-
signed for mounting the V3200AP Series Scanners. Model
V3210AP
Series Scanners are designed to be used with the
V1600WM
or
V2000WM
Wall Mounts. Installation of these
scanners on the V2000WM requires the use of the V32OOSB
Square Mounting Base.

5. Cleaning

Unplug the scanner from the wall outlet before
cleaning. Do not use liquid cleaners or aerosol cleaners,

6. Attachments

Do not use attachments not recom-
mended by Vicon as they may cause hazards.
7. Water and Moisture -Do not use this scanner near water
for example, near a bath tub, wash bowl, kitchen sink, or
laundry tub, in a wet basement, or near a swimming pool,
and the like.
8. Mounts
-
Do not place this scanner on an unstable cart,
stand, tripod, bracket, or table. The scanner may fall,
causing serious injury and serious damage to the appli-
ance. Use only with mounting hardware recommended by
Vicon. Any mounting of the scanner should follow the
Instructions in the lnstallatron section.
9. Ventilation -The scanner should never be mounted near
or over a radiator or heat register.
Thus
product should not be
placed in a built-in installation such as a bookcase or rack
unless proper ventilatron is provided or Vicon’s instructions
have been adhered to.
10. Power Sources-This scanner should be operated only
from the type of power source indicated on the marking
label. If you are not sure of the type of power supply at your
installation site, consult your Vicon dealer or local power
company.
11. Grounding or Polarization
-
The
V32OOLC
line cord
option is equipped with a 3-wire grounding-type plug, a plug
having a third (grounding) pin. This
plkg
$1 only fit into a
grounding-type power outlet. This is a safety feature. If you
are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, contact your
electrician to replace your obsolete outlet. Do not defeat the
safety purpose of the grounding-type plug.
12. Power-Cord Protection
-
Power-supply cords should be
routed so that they are not likely to be walked on or pinched
by items placed upon or against them, paying particular
attention to cords at plugs, convenience receptacles, and
the point where they exit from the appliance.
13. Overloading
-
Do not overload wall outlets and exten-
sion cords as this can result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
14. Object and Liquid Entry
-
Never push objects of any kind
into this scanner through openings as they may touch
dangerous voltage points or short-out parts that could result
