VSB24 24" Stall Bar Assembly Guide

Please read this guide thoroughly before beginning
assembly and follow each rocess ste by ste .
Note: Some steps may require two people.
Tools required for assembly and installation:
7/16" and 1/2" Wrench or Socket Wrench
Philli s Screwdriver
Ta e Measure
Drill with 7/32" Wood Bit (for wood stud wall installation)
Stud finder (if needed)

STEP 1
Lay one stall bar upright beam (A) on the floor with the
large grommeted holes facing the side and small holes
facing up.
Apply a small amount of the supplied lubricant onto each
rubber grommet and insert the eleven hardwood rungs (C)
into the eleven grommeted holes (make sure not to push
the grommets inside the beam) Align the pre-drilled holes
on the hardwood rungs to the small holes on the upright beam
and install the 1/ " X 2" Lag bolt and flat washers (F). NOTE:
ONLY INSTALL THE LAG BOLTS HALFWAY INTO THE WOOD
RUNGS AT THIS POINT. DO NOT FULLY TIGHTEN YET.

Repeat for all 11 rungs
STEP 2
Lay the other stall bar upright beam on the floor with the
large grommeted holes facing the side and the small holes
facing up.
Apply a small amount of the supplied lubricant onto each rubber
grommet before inserting the hardwood rungs, (this will help
prevent the rubber grommets from being pushed into the beam)
Starting at one end, carefully insert the hardwood rungs into each
grommeted hole one at a time until all eleven rungs are inserted.
Align the pre-drilled holes in the hardwood rungs to the small holes
in the upright beam. Install the 1/ " X 2" Lag bolt and flat washers (F).
NOTE: ONLY INSTALL THE LAG BOLTS HALFWAY INTO THE WOOD
RUNGS AT THIS POINT. DO NOT FULLY TIGHTEN YET.
Install the stall bar back braces (B).
Place the two back braces as shown below. Align the four holes on each brace to the threaded inserts
in the stall bar upright beams. Using eight of the supplied 5/16" X 1" hex head bolts, lock washers and
flat washers (G) fasten the braces in place. Only hand tight at this point. DO NOT FULLY TIGHTEN YET.

Squarin up the stall bar.
At this point, all bolts should be loose. If you have a carpenter's square use this to ensure that the stall
bar frame is square. If you don't have a carpenter's square you can measure the frame dia onally from
corner to corner and when both measurements are equal the frame will be square. Once the frame is
square, firmly ti hten the 8 bolts fastenin the back braces first, then ti hten all the run bolts.
NOTE: ONLY TIGHTEN THE RUNG BOLTS TO THE POINT WHERE THE RUNGS DO NOT MOVE. DO NOT
OVER TIGHTEN!

STEP 5
Now that the stall bar is square and all back brace and rung bolts are tight, turn the stall bar over so that it is
resting on the back braces. (this may require help from another person)
Install outrigger brackets (E) using the supplied 5/1 " X 1" hex head bolts, lock washers and flat washers. (G)
Only hand tighten these bolts at this point. DO NOT FULLY TIGHTEN YET.
Make sure when installing the outrigger brackets that the two small holes on each collar are facing downward.
Slide the outrigger wood rung (D) into both outrigger collars, then firmly tighten all outrigger bracket bolts.
Center the outrigger rung so that an equal amount is extending beyond each collar and logo name is facing
outward. Install the supplied #8 X 3/4" black wood screws (I) into the small holes in the collar securing the
wood outrigger rung in place.

STEP 6
Your new stall bar is now ready to be mounted to the wall. The outer mounting holes located on each
back brace are spaced 1 " on center to match typical wood wall stud spacing. If mounting to a wood
stud wall, locate and mark the center of the studs and with the help of another person stand the
stall bar up against the wall lining up to the wood studs. Pilot drill a 7/32" hole into all six mounting
hole locations. Install and securely tighten the supplied 5/1 " X 2-1/2" lag bolts and flat washers (H).
If mounting to a masonry wall, you will need to first install a 5/1 " lag shield anchor at each hole
location. (lag shield anchors are not included but can be purchased and any hardware store)
If mounting to a metal stud wall, you may need to add additional support blocking or fascia board
to rigidly secure the stall bar.
STEP 7
Push the decorative bolt head cover caps (K) onto the exposed bolt heads (G) used to fasten the outrigger
brackets and the lag bolts (H) used to mount stall bar to the wall.
