Safety Information
This Vitagoods Digital Body Analyzer allows you to measure and track your
vital body composition statistics from the comfort of your home. Intended
for use by adults this Digital Body Analyzer measures weight and uses bio-
electrical impedance analysis (BIA) technology to estimate body fat %, body
water %, bone mass, and muscle mass in generally healthy adults 18 years of
age or older. The device is designed for home use only.
If you suffer from arrhythmia, only use this device with the approval of your
physician. In certain cases, this measurement method may produce incorrect
readings.
Pregnant women should not use this scale. If you are or think you might be
pregnant, do not use this device as its affects on the fetus are unknown. If
you are connected to a wearable or have an implantable electronic device or
instrument, such as a pacemaker or debrillator, avoid use.
CAUTION
Read this user manual thoroughly before use. This device is designed and
manufactured to operate within dened design limits. Misuse may result
in harm. The following should be observed to best use and maintain your
device:
• This device is intended for adult use only.
• This device is intended solely to monitor and determine weight and BMI.
• Its sole function is measurement.
• Monitoring weight and BMI with this device does not equate to a
medical diagnosis.
• This device allows you to monitor your weight and BMI under the care
of a physician.
• If you are taking medication, consult with your physician to determine if
it will affect the scale’s measurments.
• This device is not suitable for continuous monitoring during medical
emergencies or operations.
• Do not use the monitor under the conditions of strong electromagnetic
eld (e.g. medical radio frequency equipment) that radiates interference
signal or electrical fast transient/burst signal.
• The device is not AP/APG equipment. It is not suitable for use in the
presence of ammable gases (avoid oxygen, nitrous oxide).
• Keep the unit out of reach of infants or children.
• Use only accessories and detachable parts specied and authorized by the

WEIGHT MEASUREMENT

About Weight Measurement
Measuring your own weight and BMI is an important way of monitoring your
health. Excessive weight and high BMI levels are a major health problem,
which can be treated effectively once addressed. Measuring your own
weight and BMI levels between doctor visits on a regular basis and keeping
accurate records helps monitor any signicant changes in health.
Fat is essential for the human body. It stores energy, protects internal organs,
regulates body temperature, and maintains normal physiological function
of the human body. However, too much body fat is harmful. Excessive
weight and high BMI levels may lead to illness and a wide array of diseases.
Since the scale uses BIA (Bio-impedance Analysis) technology, it accurately
discerns weight and BMI.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS
5
The Vitagoods Digital Body Analyzer uses BIA (Bio-impedance Analysis)
technology. A weak current ows through the human body to detect the bio-
impedance and estimate body fat, body water, muscle mass bone mass and
BMR. The electrical current is small and not usually felt by the user.
This BIA technology is safe, non-invasive, non-toxic and harmless.
The current mentioned above is less than 1mA. However, please be aware
that anyone with an wearable or implantable medical electronic instrument,
such as a pacemaker, must avoid using this device.
Installing Batteries
• Open the battery compartment
located on the back of the scale.
• Insert the batteries with the correct
polarities (+/-).
(Always use 2 x CR2032 batteries.)
• The LCD displays “8888” to alert
activation.
• Close the battery compartment.
• The LCD then displays “0.0 lb” to alert
completion.
Replace the batteries under following
circumstances:
• “Lo” displays on the LCD (the device powers off in four [4] seconds)
• The LCD display dims
• Always replace with 2 x CR2032 new batteries. Do not use old batteries
with new ones.
• Worn batteries are hazardous waste. Do NOT dispose of them together
with the household garbage. Please refer to the local ordinances and
recycling instructions regarding disposal of the worn batteries.
General Instructions
CAUTION
• Remove batteries if the device is not likely to be used for an extended time.
• Alkaline batteries are recyclable and should not be disposed of with regular waste.
• Do not handle damaged or leaking batteries.

Body Fat
Fat is essential for human body. It can not only store energy and protect
internal organs, but also regulate body temperature and maintain normal
physiological function. However, too much body fat is harmful to the
body. It is frequently accompanied by Fatty Liver, diabetes, coronary heart
disease, etc.
Therefore self-measuring and self-monitoring body fat level are benecial
to your health. Since we can’t judge body fat level simply by our weight, this
Digital Body Analyzer, with BIA (Bio-impedance Analysis) technology is an
accurate device that offers a quick and comfortable way to obtain your body
fat level.
