Display Operation
There are 4 PAS levels to choose from :
PAS 0: Fitness Mode - 0% Motor Assist
PAS 1: Aerobic Mode - 25% Motor Assist
PAS 2: Eco Mode - 50% Motor Assist
PAS 3: Climbing mode - 100% Motor Assist

Throttle
Throttle Operation
The throttle located on the left side of the handlebars allows you to accelerate without
pedaling regardless of the PAS level selected. For safety reasons, the throttle will only
function when the bike is going at a minimum speed of 6 km/h.

Press on the right side display button to choose the display function:
Turn on the power switch and the display will turn on.
Press on the left side of the display button to choose the PAS level.
Front wheel assembly
1. Open the box and install the front wheel with the included tools as shown below:
Step 1: Take the front wheel out of the box.
Step 3: Insert the quick release axle with
the lever on the rotor side of the
wheel.
Step 5: Close the quick release clamp.
Step 2: Insert the front wheel and make
sure to align the brake rotor to the
slot in the front brake.
Step 6: Rotate the front wheel. If there is
any friction, the quick release was
overtightened.
Step 4: Screw in the quick release, but
make sure not to overtighten.

Handlebar Assembly
2. Attach the handlebars by following the steps below:
Step 2: Remove the rubber cover, align the
display with the front wheel and
tighten the screw and reinsert the
rubber cover.
Step 1: Rotate the stem with the display
180 degrees so it is facing away
from the saddle.
Step 6: Tighten the screws and make sure
to tighten in small increments on
each side to avoid over-tightening
one side of the handlebar mount.
Step 5: Add the handlebar to the safety line,
do not offset.
Step 3: Tighten the screw on both sides of
the stem and make sure to tighten
in small increments from one side
to another to avoid over-tightening
one side.
Step 4: Remove the handlebar screws.

Pedal Assembly
Step 7: Insert the brake sensor connectors.
Make sure to align the arrows on
the connectors to avoid damaging
the connector pins.
Tips: you can shake it slightly if you
want to loosen the connector.
Step 8: The installed handlebars should
look like this.

Step 2: Screw in the pedals on both sides
and tighten with a wrench.
Step 3: Pedal assemble finished as the
picture shows.
Step 1: Install the pedals. The left pedal is
marked with an L and the right pedal
with an R. Tips: Add some lubricating oil to the
screw for easier tightening.

Adjusting the brakes
As mechanical brakes wear in, the cable gets slack, taking
more physical effort for you to get the brake pads to grip the
rotor.
To tighten to brakes, use a hex key to loosen the cable
clamp at the front or rear wheel and tighten the brake cable
before retightening the cable clamp.
Dual Battery Power Switch
The power switch located at the bottom of the frame can be pressed to
select 3 different modes.
'0' - The bike is turned off.
'I' - The bike is turned on and using the power of the removable battery.
'II' - The bike is turned on and using the power of the fixed built-in battery.
To connect the Bluetooth speaker: turn on the Bluetooth on your phone
or tablet and search for nearby Bluetooth devices. Select 'E-scooter' and
connect.
Note: The built in Bluetooth speaker can only connect to one device at a
time.

As with all mechanical components, your bicycle is subjected to wear and high stresses. Different
materials and components may react to wear or stress fatigue in different ways. If the design life
of a component has been exceeded, it may suddenly fail, possibly causing injuries to the rider.
Any form of crack, scratches or change of coloring in highly stressed areas indicate the life of the
component has been reached and should be replaced. If you have an impairment or disability
such as visual impairment, hearing impairment, physical impairment, cognitive/language
impairment, and/or a seizure disorder, consult your physician before riding our bikes.

Warning and Caution Statements General Safety
When operating your bike, it is critical that you know how to properly care for each part or your
bike as well as your bike as a whole. Please ensure you have familiarized yourself with all aspects
of your bike functions and operations before riding it – ESPECIALLY on the open road with other
traffic. Since Electric Bikes are VERY different from regular bikes, please be sure to read entire
manual.
NEVER operate your bicycle when you are under the influence of alcohol or drugs, including
prescribed or over the counter medications. Always Ride at a speed appropriate for the conditions.
High speed means higher risk. It is your responsibility to familiarize yourself and comply with the
applicable laws within the country, state, county, province and/or city where you will be riding.
Be careful to keep your body parts and other objects away from the sharp teeth of the chain rings,
the moving chain, the turning pedals and the crank, and the spinning wheels of your bicycle.
The Voltag bike is designed to be ridden on paved roads or surfaces only. The bike is not
designed to withstand off-road conditions or uneven terrain. Voltag assumes no liability for any
accident, injuries, or property damage incurred as a result of a rider’s use or misuse of Voltag
bicycles, including any damages resulting from or arising out of off-road usage. An Electric Bike is
not a mountain bike, racing bike, or BMX bike – Riders who do jumping, stunts, wheelies, and bike
tricks should never be on this bike and can cause harm to themselves and others - and putting
undue, unintended or unnecessary stress on the bike parts, frame, brakes, handlebars, stem, or
forks can cause these components and/or the bike to fail, causing serious injury or death.
DO NOT USE THIS BIKE FOR JUMPING over curbs, riding on mountainous or off-road trails, or
any use other than for commuting and cruising in a relaxed, safe manner.
SINGLE RIDER ONLY: The Voltag bike is designed for one passenger only. DO NOT carry any
additional passengers on the front or rear of the bike. The rear rack is not designed to carry the
weight of any additional passengers. Standing, kneeling, or sitting backwards or sideways (both
legs on the same side of the bike) on the carrier seat while the bike is moving or stopped can
easily result in broken limbs, loss of control of the bike, destroyed rims, a destroyed bike frame, or
worse.
WEIGHT CAPACITY: The Voltag bike is designed with a maximum weight capacity of 120 kg.
Exceeding the maximum weight capacity can result in damage to the bike, which can lead to
serious injury or death.
RETROFITTING: Never retrofit our Voltag bikes with any bike components that are not approved
in writing by the company. This includes tires and tubes. Voltag Bikes are fitted with approved
EBIKE tires – never use any other tire unless approved by the company in writing. Serious Injury
and even death can result in unauthorized retrofitting.
CARRYING CARGO: Practice maneuvering and braking on a flat, hazard and traffic free street
with and without a load before going out into the world. Carrying a seated passenger or heavy
load involves risks, foremost of which can be decreased braking power and increased stopping
distance. The maximum weight capacity is 264 lbs. (120 kg) shared between the rider and cargo.
VEHICLE RACKS: Misuse of vehicle racks could result in a potential hazardous situation which, if
not avoided, could result in serious injury or death. Be sure to read and follow the instructions
provided by the rack manufacturer for more complete information.

PEDAL ASSIST: When you are in PAS mode – Do not pedal around corners – you will get a boost
and your pedal will hit the ground and can cause injury or death! Do not use pedal assist on level
and downhill grades if people are visible on the path or boardwalk. Do not use pedal assist if small
children or pets are within 100 feet.
HELMET USAGE:
MECHANICAL SAFETY CHECK:
SMALL BICYCLE ACCESSORIES AND CHOKING HAZARD: Some Bicycle accessories may
present a choking hazard and other hazard to small children. Keep any bike parts accessories,
tools away from small children.
USING GOOD JUDGMENT: Make sure no straps are dangling where they could get caught in the
wheels – No bags, boxes or any items should be placed in a position where they could get caught
in the spokes. Double check your load for security and stability. Check to see that your wheels are
securely fastened and that no components or frame members are cracked or broken (in general, if
at any time you notice a crack or bend in your bike, stem, forks, or bars of your bicycle, stop riding
immediately; take your bike to your local bike shop and have them inspect it).
Always wear an approved helmet and ensure it fits according to the manufacturers’
instructions.
Ensure your helmet meets the latest certification standards and is appropriate for the type of
riding you do – and if there are any special requirements for riding an electric bike.
Most serious bicycle injuries involve head injuries, which might have been avoided if the rider
had worn an appropriate helmet. FAILURE to wear a helmet when riding may result in serious
injury or death.
Check the condition of your Electric Bike before every ride.
Make sure no nuts, bolts or fixings are loose, and pay particular attention to the axle, nuts and
handlebar stem.
Make sure the tires are correctly inflated with the recommended air pressure, which can be
found on the rim of every tire.
Check the brakes for proper operation.
Please shut off the power when the bike is unused.
Use the original replacement parts, and ask a local bike shop to install the part;
Replace the tires when the tires are damaged or worn.
To clean the surface of the bike, use a soft cloth dipped in some water and wipe off any stain. If the stain is
hard to clean, apply some toothpaste and useatoothbrush to scrub, then wipe it again with a wet cloth.
Note: Do not use alcohol, petrol, kerosene or other corrosive, volatile chemical solvents to clean the bike, as
they will damage the appearance internal structure of the components.
Do not useawater hose with pressure to rinse as this might damage the electrical components.
While cleaning, make sure your e-bike is powered off, the charging cable is unplugged and the charging port is
covered. Failing to do so might result in an electric shock or damage.
Please store your bike in a dry and cool indoor place when not in use.
Maintenance
Maintaining your E-bike battery
When not using the bike for longer periods of time, make sure to keep your battery charged. As leaving
the battery uncharged for long periods of time will damage the battery cells and void warranty. Our
battery packs containaboard recording the charge and discharge status of the battery.
Do not charge the battery longer than needed and unplug the charger when the status light turns green.
A damaged battery cannot be restored.
Note: Do not disassemble the battery pack as this might result inaserious accident or electric shock
when causingashort circuit.

Make sure not to contaminate the brake rotors and pads with oil or grease as this will damage the
brake system.
To maintain good battery health, please store your battery at temperatures between 20°C - 50°C, failing
to do so might damage the battery cells or lead to overheating of the battery.

Charging Your Bike
Note: please stop charging when the temperature of battery is more than 40°C .
The red indicator light on the charger will light up when the bike is charging.
Average charging time: 5-7 hours, depending on the ambient temperature.
The charger has over-current protection. Charging up to 18 hours will not affect the life of battery
and the charger. Do not leave the battery plugged in for more than 18 hours.

2. Insert the plug of the charger into an electrical wall outlet rated at 110V/120V.
Fully charge your battery before your t ride and after any operation, especially after long
distance riding.
1. Power off the bike at the bottom of the frame to make sure charging safely.
The battery indicator has 5 segments, each segment represents 20% of the battery capacity. If the
battery is fully charged all 5 segments will be shown as full. If the battery capacity is low the battery
indicator will flash. Indicating that the battery needs to be charged immediately.
3. Plug the charging adapter into the charging port found under the frame (charge port I) or on the
black battery box (charge port II). Check pictures (3) above.
The removable battery 1 (36V/5.2Ah) can be taken off and charged separately.
4. The indicator light of the bike charger will turn RED which means it is charging. Once the battery is
completely charged, the status light will change to GREEN.
