The RXAC-2M Receiver is a component in a Digital
Electricity™ line powering system. When paired with a
VoltServer transmitter unit, a Digital Electricity™ system
is formed (see diagram). If a person or a foreign
conductor comes in contact with the DE wiring, power is
disconnected; preventing re, equipment damage and
personal injury.
The RXAC-2M is a listed product,
certied to safety and EMC standards by a Nationally
Recognized Test Laboratory.

WARNING!
VoltServer RX Receiver inputs are intended to be
powered by VoltServer TX Transmitter products
only. Ensure that only VoltServer TX Transmitter
products are used as sources of power for this RX
Receiver unit.
WARNING!
The minimum wire gauge for use with VoltServer
GEN2 Transmitters is 18AWG copper conductors.
Mutual conductor capacitance shall be no more that
40pF per foot or 164 pF per meter.
WARNING!
The voltage rating of the transmission wiring
between VoltServer TX Transmitter and RX
Receiver(s) must be a minimum of 300Vrms.
The surface of this unit may become
hot while running. Shut down the unit
and allow to cool before servicing.
This symbol indicates the main earth
ground terminal for the device. See
“Grounding” section.
Do not open the unit. There are no eld
serviceable parts inside the unit. Risk of
high touch current under single fault
conditions. Up to 34mA may be present.

NOTE
This device complies with part 15 of the FCC Rules.
Operation is subject to the following two conditions:
(1) This device may not cause harmful interference,
and (2) this device must accept any interference
received, including interference that may cause
undesired operation.
Warranty Statement
With the exception of the fan module, there are no
serviceable parts within the RXAC-2M. Opening or
modifying the unit will void the warranty.

Servicing the Fan
If the RXAC-2M is displaying an eight red LED fault code,
which indicates a hardware failure, the modular fan may
need servicing. Conrm fan failure by feeling for a lack
of pressure coming from the fan grate. Contact
VoltServer customer support to make them aware of the
fault and request a replacement fan module.

Input Wiring
Four (4) 3-pin connectors (PN: 1952270) are included in
the accessory kit for terminating input connections. Input
connectors accept 16AWG to 20AWG wire. Input polarity
is specied below.
Output Wiring
A duplex C13 outlet is provided on the RXAC-2M for
connecting to the output of the device.
A single cable,
KITCBL-RXAC-C15
(
C14 to C15, Heavy
Duty, 15A, 250V, 14AWG, 6ft, Black
), is provided in the
box with every unit.
Startup Considerations
It can take up to two (2) minutes for the RXAC-2M unit
to complete its normal startup sequence and begin
delivering power to the load. During this time the blue
LEDs will be ashing.
Additionally, due to the feature that saves recent startup
attempt information to non-volatile memory, it is possible
that the unit will complete its boot sequence and
immediately show a fault condition with the red fault LED
blinking 2 times repeatedly. During this time the RXAC-
2M unit is in a cool-down state waiting to re-attempt to
deliver power to the load. Please wait 5-7 minutes for
this cool-down to complete, at which point the unit will
resume normal operation.
Method of Disconnect from Power
To disconnect the RXAC-2M Digital Electricity Receiver
unit from power, unplug ALL corresponding channels
from the DE Transmitter Chassis either at the transmitter
location or at the receiver. Due to the amount of
capacitance in the RXAC-2M Receiver, it may take up to
one (1) minute for the RXAC-2M to completely power
down.
Installation Instructions
NOTE
Must be installed according to all local and national
electric code requirements.
Physical Installation
The RXAC-2M is designed to be mounted to a wall
using the included wall-mount brackets, or to be
mounted in a 19” rack using a VoltServer rack-mount
shelf (sold separately). When wall mounting, the RXAC-
2M should have a minimum of 6” clearance around the
unit and should not be mounted directly above a heat
source. To ensure proper thermal performance, be sure
to mount the unit with the input connectors horizontally
so that the air ows horizontally through the unit. The
RXAC-2M is mounted using the supplied screws.
Grounding
The RXAC-2M receiver must be properly grounded to
the user’s facility earth connection for safe operation.
The protective conductor must be installed prior to
RXAC input connections are established. A ring terminal
and locknut are provided in the accessory kit with every
unit for this purpose. The grounding locknut must be
torqued down to 32in-lbs. A 12AWG or larger ground
wire must be used.
