Do not tip the Burner Dish to ignite.
Clear any spilt fuel immediately. Close the
flame off to extinguish and do not allow
to evaporate. Clear fuel or spills using
the methods recommended by the fuel

BEFORE FIRST USE
Before using this appliance for the first time, please ensure you complete the following
steps:
• Before first use, wash all components in
hot soapy water with a mild detergent. Dry
thoroughly immediately afterwards.
• Refer to the ‘Cleaning & Maintenance’ section
for guidance on how to clean the Fondue Set.
OPERATION
• Place the BURNER PLATE onto a flat, stable, heat-resistant surface.
• Place the BURNER DISH firmly in the centre of the BURNER PLATE and add 80ml/3oz of suitable fuel into
the BURNER DISH. Take some time to read the usage instructions supplied by the fuel manufacturer.
CAUTION: For fuels which burn with more intensity, use a lesser amount.
• Cap with the SNUFFER LID and open the holes by turning the handle. Carefully wipe away any fuel which
has spilt. Do not ignite the fuel at this stage.
• Place the FONDUE POT STAND and FONDUE POT onto the BURNER PLATE, directly over the BURNER
DISH.
• Fill the FONDUE POT with your chosen foodstuff (such as fondue cheese, chocolate or oil).
• Using a suitable taper or long match, ignite the fuel by lighting through the holes in the side of the
BURNER DISH. Control the flame by carefully turning the handle on the SNUFFER LID; opening the holes
on the SNUFFER LID will increase the size of the flame, closing the holes will decrease the size of the
flame and fully closing the SNUFFER LID holes will extinguish the flame.
CAUTION: Do not keep the Burner on maximum flame for extended periods to prevent scorching/
burning.
• Allow the foodstuff inside the FONDUE POT to reach cooking temperature (variable depending on
foodstuff). Using suitable heat-resistant oven gloves, insert dipping foodstuffs into the mixtures using the
FONDUE FORKS to coat/cook as desired. Adjust the SNUFFER LID using the handle to maintain cooking
temperature.
NOTE: Cooked/coated food should be transferred to a plate and eaten with separate cutlery to prevent
contamination of the cooking pot.
CAUTION: Never cut food in the FONDUE POT.
• When finished, close all holes on the SNUFFER LID to extinguish the flames.
WARNING! Never handle the BURNER or POT when in use or directly after use. Allow to cool sufficiently
to safely handle using suitable heat resistant oven gloves.
CAUTION: No parts of the VonShef Swiss Pot
Fondue Set are suitable for use in a dishwasher.
Always wash by hand.
