1.3 SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS
Caution
Read and follow these operating instructions before using the repeller for the rst time. Ultrasonic waves can penetrate light
building materials. The eciency of the ultrasonic signal behind solid objects is reduced. It may be necessary to set up
several units to ensure complete coverage. The repeller emits ultrasonic sounds that are inaudible or barely audible to
humans. According to the current research, ultrasound does not cause any damage if the maximum level is below 140 dB
and the average level, based on 8 h/day, is below 110 dB. Our devices emit ultrasonic sound with the noise levels ranging
between 80 and 120 dB. Continuous operation of the units is not possible.
Headache, pressure, tinnitus
Do not place the device inside living rooms unless your device is intended for this purpose. Although the devices are only
triggered by movement, continuous movement within the operating range of the device can aect hearing. Under certain
conditions this can cause headaches, a feeling of pressure in the head or tinnitus. If you experience the above symptoms,
switch o the device and consult your doctor immediately. If you stay in the garden for extended periods of time, switch o
the repeller. Never hold the repeller directly at the ear of a living being.
Epilepsy
If your device has a ash setting, please note that the dierent stroboscopic light settings could cause epileptic seizures in
some persons.
Eects of the repeller on your pets
Please note that the ultrasonic sound of the device is also perceived by your pets. Make sure that the repellers are switched
o if your pet is inside the operational zone. Sounds in this frequency range can be very annoying to pets. Fear and warning
cries of animals also occur in the ultrasonic range and therefore have a scaring eect.
Children and teenagers
Hearing in toddlers, children and teenagers is generally much more acute than in adults. Please note that if toddlers/
children/adolescents are within the operational area of the device, it is essential to switch the device o. When storing the
inactive device, make sure that it is kept out of the reach of children.
Use by special groups of people
Use of the device is not intended for children and persons with limited physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of
experience and knowledge. There should always be a supervisor on site.
Danger of explosion
Do not open the device during operation, if it is powered by a rechargeable battery. Do not short-circuit, disassemble or
throw the device and battery into a re. In such cases there is a risk of explosion.
The devices must be set up in such a way that you comply with the laws applicable in your country for ultrasonic emission
in public spaces. This can be obtained from the local authorities responsible for your area.
1.4 INTENDED USE
The VOSS.sonic 2000 aims to repel unwanted animals such as dogs, cats, foxes, martens, hedgehogs, mice, rats, badgers,
otters, deer, wild boars, raccoons, rabbits and hares, herons and birds. It is suitable for lawns, golf courses, bushes, ower

2.2. HOW VOSS.SONIC 2000 WORKS
The VOSS.sonic 2000 easily repels unwanted visitors. A combination of selectable ultrasonic frequencies and a ashing light
scares away even stubborn animals. As soon as the motion sensor is activated, the device starts to emit a series of ultrasonic
sounds based on the respective setting of the „Frequency“ dial. The animals will not stay in the area where they can hear the
sounds, since they are very unpleasant to them. The sound will only be triggered if an animal enters the operational area.
This prevents the animals from becoming accustomed to the noise, which further increases the repellent eect.
This device does not guarantee a 100% success, since animals react dierently to the ultrasonic signals.
Important notice
The repeller emits ultrasonic sounds that are inaudible or barely audible to humans. According to the current research,
ultrasound does not cause any damage if the maximum level is below 140 dB and the average level, based on 8 h/day,
is below 110 dB. Our devices emit ultrasonic sound with the noise levels ranging between 80 and 120 dB. Continuous
operation of the units is not possible. Ultrasonic waves can penetrate light building materials. The eciency of the ultrasonic
signal behind solid objects is reduced. It may be necessary to set up several units to ensure complete coverage.
3. ASSEMBLY AND FIRST TIME OPERATION
The VOSS.sonic 2000 is powered by 3x AA 1.2V NiMh rechargeable batteries.
Choose a location for the VOSS.sonic 2000 so that the solar panel gets the most sunlight in order to recharge the batteries
eectively. To ensure best operation possible, we recommend to clean the solar panel regularly with a damp cloth.
For best eect, place this unit facing in the direction from which the animals come. VOSS.sonic 2000 is generally moisture
proof and can be used both indoors and outdoors. However, care should be taken when choosing a location, so that the
charging connection is protected and that there is no risk of permanent contact with water, rain or other liquids.
In dry area free from water, you can simply place the VOSS.sonic 2000 on the oor. For installation outdoors (e.g. in the
garden), we recommend using the supplied mounting post. Hanging holes on the on the back of the device allow wall
mounting. This way, you can use the VOSS.sonic 2000 anywhere you need it.

INSTRUCTION MANUAL VOSS.SONIC 2000
Outdoors the unit should be located approx. 15 cm above the ground. This ensures an ideal detection range and good
ultrasonic dispersion.
When choosing a location make sure the unit does not become a tripping hazard for other people.
Important tip
Insuciently charged batteries cannot trigger the ash.
If the battery voltage is too low, the ultrasonic signal may also be aected.
If the batteries are too weak, they must be charged.
Operation
Important notice
If the batteries are insuciently charged, the LED light starts ashing red. In this case connect the device to a USB port
(computer, laptop, mobile phone charger, etc.) using the provided cable. Once the batteries are fully charged, the red LED
will glow continuously.
To maximise the battery capacity, we recommend for the rst 3 times to wait until the batteries are completely discharged,
before charging them again. This way the memory eect is avoided. The battery memory eect is a reduction in the longevity
of a rechargeable battery‘s charge, due to incomplete discharge in previous uses. Some types of batteries, such as nickel-
cadmium and nickel-metal hydride, can develop a memory eect when only partially discharged before recharging.
Due to the dierent transport, storage and shipping times until the rst use, it may be necessary to charge the batteries. This
is not unusual. When the device is switched on. the red LED light in the upper half of the ash window lights up for approx.
5 seconds.
After a further 25 seconds the unit is ready for operation. Now the motion detector can be triggered. After a short, audible
start click, the device emits ultrasonic sounds for approx. 9 seconds. As a visible function monitoring, the light behind the
motion detector also lights up red. The VOSS.sonic 2000 starts working as soon as the motion detector is triggered. The
device is now ready for operation.
Frequencies
You have the choice of 5 dierent ultrasonic frequencies. Level 5 emits a frequency mix from all levels.
Settings
The „Sens.“ dial (left) controls the setting of sensitivity and distance. By turning the dial clockwise you increase the range and
coverage.
To frighten small animals, turn the „Sens.“ dial all the way to the right.
The „Freq.“ dial (right) controls the frequency. By turning the dial clockwise, you increase/change the emitted frequency.
0 : OFF
1 : Scares animals like dogs, cats, raccoons, ...
2 : Scares animals like foxes, wild boars, deer, ...
3 : Scares little rodents, rats, martens, badgers, otters, rabbits, hares ...
4 : Flash adds to the deterrent eect, especially frightens birds
5 : Functions 1-4 are activated (switching between frequency modes 1, 2 and 3) together with the ash.

1345022 | 08 | 2020 | V 1
INSTRUCTION MANUAL VOSS.SONIC 2000
This is the best setting as all functions of the unit are used.
Important
To change a setting, you must always start from the OFF position (0) and then select the desired setting. For example, if you
change directly from setting 3 to 1 without having turned the dial to the OFF position (0), the device will still be in the setting
3.
Important tip
The ash increases the deterrent eect, especially in the darkness. If you plan to use the ash for longer intervals, we
recommend charging the device regularly via the USB charging cable.
Caution
Make sure to turn o the ash on the unit if a person with epilepsy is in the operating area. Remember to switch o the unit
when you are in the operating area for a prolonged period of time.

Handling batteries
1. If you are using new rechargeable batteries or if the unit has not been used for a long time (over a month), it is normal
that the batteries will need to be charged. Three to ve charges are necessary to condition the batteries, then they can be
used normally. If the batteries that have been used for a long time need to be recharged frequently, replace them with new
ones.
2. If the batteries have not been used for a long time, replace them with three AA 1.2V rechargeable batteries (Ni-Cd or
Ni-MH) in the battery compartment. Only batteries in good condition guarantee the best possible function of the animal
repellent. This also prevents damage caused by leaking.
3. Please dispose of used batteries responsibly. Disposal in household waste is strictly forbidden! Please hand in used
batteries free of charge at a municipal collection point or in local shops.
4. Recharge the batteries only when they are completely empty to avoid a possible memory eect.
