Take into account the height, width and length of the leaf vacuum trailer when moving it.
When using public roads, you are yourself responsible for complying with the local regulations
(marking. required documents, exemptions, lighting etc.)
Install replacement lighting if the tractor lighting is concealed by an implement.
Adjust your driving style to the circumstances. The driving characteristics of the tractor are
influenced by the leaf vacuum trailer and the condition of the road.
Work and drive with utmost caution if there are people in close vicinity. Attention! Make sure there
are no persons behind the leaf vacuum trailer when tipping.
Before remedying malfunctions, carrying out maintenance or settings/adjustments of the leaf
vacuum trailer: always place the red safety support under the container and wedges behind the
wheels. Turn off the implement, wait for the implement to come to a standstill, switch off the PTO
shaft, turn off the engine and remove the key from the ignition lock.
Bear in mind that the hydraulic system operates with oil under high pressure. An oil jet under
high pressure may be invisible, penetrate the skin and cause serious injuries. Therefore, never
try to locate or stop a leak by hand. In the event of injury caused by oil leakage, consult a
physician immediately because of the risk of infection.
Watch out for oil squirting out when a coupling is or has
been loosened. Oil can squirt out when a cylinder is
moved by a force from outside.
Only use hoisting elements which meet the current standards (NEN-EN 1492 hoisting belts).
Stickers and markings contained in this manual and provided on the leaf vacuum trailer give
important directions for nonhazardous use. Follow these directions for your own safety! Never
remove them.
!Replace stickers that have been damaged immediately.
As a user, wear close-fitting clothing/safety goggles and ear protectors! Avoid wearing loose
clothing/garments!
After switching of the leaf vacuum trailer. The fan working shaft will still continue rotating. Stay
away from the rotating parts until the leaf vacuum trailer has come to a complete standstill.
Caution! When switching on the PTO shaft, both the fan and the working shaft will start instantly.
Couple accessories as prescribed and fix them only to the intended device. And ensure
they are properly secured.
Safety instructions
Never loosen hose couplings before you are sure there is no pressure on them. A weight may
cause pressure in a line.

Product description
4.1 Description
The Votex B.V. leaf vacuum trailer is a modularly constructed machine which can be used with a wide
vacuum funnel with brush shaft, scarifier shaft or flail shaft. It is also possible to work with a suction system.
The leaf vacuum trailer is to be coupled at the rear of a tractor.
Cuttings are sucked up by the vacuum funnel with brush shaft, scarifier shaft or flail shaft and blown into the
vacuum trailer. Also, mowing and cutting waste, leaves and small litter can be sucked up by the suction
system and blown into the container. The container of the vacuum trailer can be emptied by operating the
tractor hydraulic system. The suction system and the vacuum funnel with brush shaft, scarifier shaft or flail
shaft are driven by the 540-rpm PTO shaft of the tractor. The suction system consists of a fan casing
containing an impeller. A vacuum funnel and a suction hose are connected to the suction system. Using the
changeover valve, it is possible to choose working either with the wide vacuum funnel with working shaft or
with the suction hose.
The leaf vacuum trailer can be divided into various component groups:
The container has a capacity of 4,2 m³ . The Cuttings can
be collected in this container.
The wide vacuum funnel with working shaft is located
under the container. Leaves and cuttings thrown up by
the working shaft are sucked up by the fan and blown
into the container.
