1. Introduction
Following the high standards of GRUNDIG IP Cameras, this IP Camera is capable of serving real-time streaming
and makes the images run smoothly. It offers a very economical solution to serve a 2 Megapixel resolution.
1
English

In addition to MJPEG real time streaming, this IP Camera develops a superior H.264 main profile codec to
smoothly transfer High Definition surveillance data through the Internet without distortion. Attributing to the IP
Camera’s flexible platform, the camera can be applied in various installation locations including shops, stores,
banks, parking lots, factories and building surveillance.
The built-in Wide Dynamic Range (WDR) function of the model GCI-H0503B allows getting crystal clear images
even in extreme conditions. This IP Camera is highly sensitive and has a good low-light performance.
These instructions apply to the following products. For the different properties of the products please refer to the
table. Please note that not all chapters and screenshots in this manual refer to every camera of this series.
2. Important Safety Instructions
Be sure to use only the standard adapter that is specified in the specification sheet. Using any other adapter
could cause fire, electrical shock, or damage to the product. Incorrectly connecting the power supply or replacing
battery may cause explosion, fire, electric shock, or damage to the product. Do not connect multiple cameras to a
single adapter. Exceeding the capacity may cause abnormal heat generation or fire.
Do not place conductive objects (e.g. screwdrivers, coins or any metal items) or containers filled with water on top
of the camera. Doing so may cause personal injury due to fire, electric shock, or falling objects.
If any unusual smells or smoke come from the unit, stop using the product. In such case, immediately disconnect
the power source and contact the service center. Continued use in such a condition may cause fire or electric
shock.
If this product fails to operate normally, contact the nearest service center. Never disassemble or modify this
product in any way. (GRUNDIG is not liable for problems caused by unauthorized modifications or attempted
repair.)
To prevent fire or electric shock, do not expose the inside of this device to rain or moisture.

humidity. Doing so may cause fire or electric shock. Keep out of direct sunlight and heat radiation sources. It may
cause fire. Avoid aiming the camera directly towards extremely bright objects such as sun, as this may damage
the image sensor.
Do not install the unit in humid, dusty, or sooty locations. Doing so may cause fire or electric shock. Install it in a
place with good ventilation.
When installing the camera, fasten it securely and firmly. A falling camera may cause personal injury.
If you want to relocate the already installed product, be sure to turn off the power and then move or reinstall it.
