BATTERYSTATUS
BatteryStatusprovidestheuserwithacurrentstateofchargeontheinternalbattery.Itisthe
user’sresponsibilitytoperiodicallymonitorthebatterychargeandtorechargethebattery
aftereachuse.RechargeeverythreemonthsevenifthePowerDomeisnotused.

CHARGINGTHEPOWERDOME
ACCharging
MakesurethesuppliedACChargingAdapteristobepoweredbythecorrectvoltage.
(i.e.110VACor220VAC).OnlyusetheACchargingadaptersuppliedwiththisunit.
1. MakesureallPowerDomeswitchesaresettoOFF.
2. OpenthedustcoverontheChargingJack.
3. MakesureallPowerDomeswitchesaresettoOFF.
4. ConnecttheACChargingAdaptertotheACoutlet.
5. PlugtheChargingAdapter’scordintothePowerDome’sChargingJack.
6. TheChargingIndicatorwilllightduringthechargingprocess.
7. InitialACchargecantakeupto34hours.
8. Donotchargeformorethan48hours.
9. Afterchargingthebattery,disconnecttheadapterfromtheACoutletfirst,thenfrom
thechargingjack.
10.Replacethedustcoveronthechargingjack.
NOTE:TheChargingIndicatorlightindicatescharging.PresstheChargeStatusButton
fortheVoltmetertoshowbatteryvoltageandchargestatus.

1. MakesureallPowerDomeswitchesaresettoOFF.
2. OpenthedustcoverontheChargingJack.
3. PlugtheChargingAdapter’scordintothePowerDome’sChargingJack.
4. PlugtheDCChargingAdapterintoanaccessoryoutlet(cigarettelighter).
5. TheChargingIndicatorwilllightduringthechargingprocess.
6. Donotchargemorethan14hoursusingtheDCmethod.
7. Afterchargingthebattery,disconnecttheadapterfromtheaccessorysocketfirst,then
fromthechargingjack.
8. Replacethedustcoveronthechargingjack.
DCPOWERPORT
DC POWER PORTS (accessory sockets) are located under the Pressure Gauge and the
Battery Status Meter (voltmeter). The ports can power a DC load of up to 11 Amps.
Overloadingtheportwillresultin“tripping”aself-resettingcircuitbreaker.Removingthe
overloadautomaticallyrestorespowertotheDCPowerPorts.
1. UncoverthedustcoverfromthePowerPort.
2. Insertthe12VDCaccessoryplugintothePowerPort
3. Operatetheapplianceasusual.
4. Afteruse,disconnecttheaccessoryplugfromthePowerPort.
5. ReplacethePowerPort’sdustcover.
6. RechargethePowerDomeassoonasconvenient.
WORKLIGHT
TheWorkLightisaclusterofbrightLEDs
1. Turntheworklightswitch(onfrontpanel)toONposition
2. Thelightwillilluminate.
3. TurnOFFtheworkLightwhennotinuse.
USINGTHEAIRCOMPRESSOR
TheAir Compressor Gauge and ON/OFF Switch are located on the front of the Power
Dome,TheCompressorAirHoseCompartmentislocatedontherearofthePowerDome.
CAUTIONS:
• Neverconnectordisconnectthenozzlewiththecompressoroperating.
• Beforeanytireinflation,lookfortherecommendedinflationpressureinformation
onthesidewallofthetire.
INFLATIONPROCEDURE
1. OpentheAirHoseCompartmentdoorattherearofthePowerDomeandextendtheair
hose.
2. PositionthePowerDomesothatyouseethefrontpanel.
3. MakesurenozzleleverispositionedUP(awayfromthenozzleopening)
4. Removethevalvecapfromthevalvestem.
5. Attachthenozzletothetire’svalvestem.

DCTOACPOWERINVERTER
ThePowerDome’sinvertercanoperatemostACappliancesoracombinationofappliances
upto400watts.OperatingtimeisdependantontheACload(watts)andthechargeand
conditionofPowerDome’sinternalbattery.ReducedACloadsandfullchargeonthebattery
willresultinlongeroperatingtime.BesuretoturnoffordisconnectanyACappliancenot
inuse.
Thereisauserreplaceable40ampautomotivetypefusetotheleftoftheinverterON/OFF
Switch.Thisfuseprotectstheinverterfromanunlikelyexcessiveinputcurrent.Ordinary
overloadswillcausetheinvertertoautomaticallyshutdown.Reducetheloadandrestart
theinverter.
USINGTHEPOWERINVERTER
1. OpentheACoutletdustcover.
2. ConnecttheACapplianceorappliancestoeitherACoutlet.
3. TurnontheInverterusingtheInverter’sON/OFFswitch.
4. IftheInverterPowerIndicatorLEDlightsgreen,theinverterisoperating.
5. TurnononeACapplianceandobservethePowerIndicator.
6. IftheLEDremainsgreen,thenturnonthesecondappliance.
7. IfthePowerIndicatorremainsgreen,thenbothappliancesareoperatingproperly.
8. Afteruse,removetheapplianceplugandclosethedustcover.
9. RechargePowerDomeassoonasconvenient.
NOTES:IfthePowerindicatorLEDisnotlit,thenreducetheACload.Iftheinverteris
stillnotoperating,refertothetroubleshootingtableattheendofthisUser’sManual.
CAUTION:
Somerechargeabledevices areequippedwithaseparateACcharger.Thesedevices will
likelyoperateproperlywiththisinverter.Rechargeabledevicesthathavebuilt-inchargers
(seedeviceowner’smanual),maynotbeoperateproperlywiththistypeofinverter.
The motors of some motorized devices may operate at excessive motor temperature.
Abnormallyelevatedtemperatureofthemotorisanindicationthattheyshouldnotbeused
withthisinverter.
SomeTelevisionsandotherelectronicswithsensitivecomponentsshouldbecheckedtosee
iftheyarecompatiblewithmodifiedsinewave(non-sinusoidal)inverters.Checkwiththe
appliancemanufacturer.
6. MovethenozzleleverDowntosecurethenozzletothevalvestem.
7. TurncompressorswitchontoONposition.
8. Monitorthepressuregaugewhileinflatingthetire.
9. Whenrecommendedtirepressurehasbeenreached,turntheCompressorOFF.
10.Disconnecthoseandreplacevalvecap.
11.StorethehoseintheAirhoseCompartment
12.RechargethePowerDomeassoonasconvenient.

JUMPSTARTWARNINGS
• Lead-acid batteries can release explosive gasses. Failure to follow instructions may
causepropertydamage,explosionhazard,and/orpersonalinjury.
• Donotsmokewhilejumpstarting.
• Jumpstartavehicleorboatinawellventilatedarea.
• PowerDomeisforusewith12voltsystems.
• Donotattempttojumpstartafrozenbattery.
• Do not wear vinyl clothing when jumpstarting - friction can cause static electricity
sparks.
• Removeallmetaljewelry-thiscancauseshortcircuits.Alwaysusesafetyglasseswhen
jumpstartingbatteryacidcancauseblindnessand/orsevereburns.
• Never touch red and black clamps together - this can cause, power arcing, and/or
explosion.
• Donotattempttojumpstartafrozenbattery
• After use as jump starter, turn OFF Power Safety Switch. Keep out of reach of
children.
• Excessiveenginecrankingcandamagethevehicle‘sstartermotor.Iftheenginefailsto
startaftertherecommendednumberofattempts,discontinuejumpstartprocedureand
lookforotherproblemsthatmayneedtobecorrected.
• Ifvehicle tobe startedhas a PositiveGrounded System(positive battery terminalis
connectedtochassis):
• Connectnegative(-)blackclamptovehiclebattery‘snegativeterminal.
• Connect positive (+) red clamp to vehicle chassis or a solid, non-moving, metal
vehiclecomponentorbodypart.DONOTclampdirectlytopositivebatteryterminal
ormovingpart.
JUMPSTARTING
1. ReviewtheJumpstartWarnings
2. Makesureallvehicleappliances,lights,radio,etc.areturnedOFF.
3. Makesurethevehicle’sbrakeissetandthetransmissionisin“Park”
4. MakesureallPowerDomeswitchesareOFF.
5. Securely connect the Red (+) cable Clamp to the vehicle’s Positive (+) battery
terminal.
6. ConnecttheBlack(-)cableClamptoanon-movingpartonthevehicle.
7. ObservethecoloroftheREVERSEPOLARITYLEDthatislocatedbetweentheBattery
StatusandWorkLightSwitches.
8. IftheLEDisRED–DONOTTURNONTHECABLEJUMPERSWITCH
• CableClampsneedtobereversed.
• DisconnecttheBlackClampfirstandthentheREDCableClamp.
• ReconnectandobservetheLED.
• IftheLEDisgreen,turnONtheJumperSafetySwitch.
9. Insidethevehicle,turnontheignitionswitchandattempttostarttheengine.
10.Crank a maximum of three seconds. If the engine does not start, wait three minutes
beforethenextattempt.
11.Aftertheenginestarts,turnOFFtheJumperSafetySwitch.
12.DisconnecttheBlackClampfirst,andthendisconnecttheRedClamp.
13.Besurethatthecablesandclampsaresecurelystored.
14.RechargethePowerDomeassoonasconvenient.
NOTE:Iftheenginedoesnotstart,theremaybeaproblemotherthanadischargedbattery.

USBPOWERPORT
SetOn/Offsafetyswitchtothe“USBport”position.AUSBPowerPortlocatedunderneath
thechargingjackcanpower/chargedevicesthatrequire5Voltsatupto500mAthroughthe
useofauser-suppliedcord.
EXTENDINGRUNTIME
ExtendingtheruntimeofPowerDome’sinverterorcompressorcanbeaccomplishedby
poweringthesefunctionsfromachargedexternal12voltautomotive-typebattery.
1. Followtheprocedureforjumpstartinganengineasfarasconnectingthecableschecking
forcorrectbatterypolarityandturningontheCableSwitch.
2. Nowthecompressororinvertercanoperateforanextendedtime.
• Thelowvoltageprotectionfeaturewillshutofftheinverterwhentheexternaland
internalbatteriesdischargeto10volts.
• Thecompressor doesnot have alow battery shut-downfeature so theuser must
checktheBatteryStatusmeteronthePowerDome.
3. After The Power Dome is used in an extended run time configuration, turn off the
compressororinverter.
4. TurnofftheCableSwitchandstorethecablesandclamps.
5. RechargethePowerDomeandexternalbatteryassoonaspossible.

TROUBLESHOOTINGGUIDE-INVERTER
