success with your Power Station. The walimex pro Power Station was
developed specifically for ambitious beginners and professional users.
The compact power pack by walimex pro, which features two sockets, offers
space and power for one to two flash and electrical devices up to a maximum
of 1000W. You can connect, e.g., two flash devices of 500W each or one
studio flash of 1000W. The power supply unit can be charged via the
cigarette lighter in the car or via the power network.
The main features of the Power Station are as follows:
-ideal for photographic applications in the studio, on-location and
outdoor areas or for various uses, e.g., for a fan etc.
-connection of up to two electrical devices
-recharge time approx. 5-6 hours
-charge via power network or 12V car cable
-compatible with nearly all common flash devices (see Technical
Specifications)
Please read these instructions carefully before using your new Power
Station for the first time. It includes everything you need to know in
order to avoid physical injuries and damages.
Please pay attention to all safety notes in this instruction manual.
Please keep this manual safe. In case of selling or leaving the Power
Station to another person, please ensure to hand this manual over as
well.

1. How to understand this instruction manual
1.1. Symbols on the device
This symbol means that your device meets the safety
requirements of all relevant European Directives.
This symbol means that your device must be disposed of at local
disposal areas.
1.2. Symbols in this manual

2. Important safety notes
WARNING
Danger of crashing, crushing, burning, and fire due to device toppling over
The weight of the power pack is approx. 8 kg.
Ensure that the device is always kept in a tilt- and skid-resistant position
and stored securely.
Keep out of reach of children and animals. They could knock over the
device.
Avoid placing cables where they can be tripped over. The device could
be knocked over.
WARNING
Danger of electric shock, burn hazard
Please note that the device is still connected to the supply voltage when it
is switched off.
The device is supplied with residual voltage even after a complete
discharge.
Switch off the device when it is not in use.
Switch off your device before assembly and maintenance and
disconnect from power supply by setting the on/off switch to 0 (OFF)
and by unplugging the power cord.
Discharge your device before maintenance measures.
Protect your device against accidental power-on.
Do not reach into a connection socket or an opening on the device.
WARNING
Danger of electric shock, fire due to short circuit
A short circuit could be caused by defective cables and due to moisture or
wetness. A short circuit can heat up the conductors resulting in the melting
of their insulation or of the conductors themselves. This could lead to fire.
Please use exclusively the original cables, which are provided with the
device. They are tuned for your device and guarantee the necessary
safety for you and your device.
Do not operate the device with wet hands or feet.
Clean the device exclusively as described in this instruction manual.
Ensure that cables and conductors are not damaged. Damage could be
caused due to heat impact, chemical influence or due to mechanical

impacts such as rubbing, bending, tearing, rolling over, or nibbling
animals.
Prevent your device from falling.
In the case of it falling, please have an electrician check the device
before switching it on again.
If your device is damaged or defective or if you notice a burning smell:
Disconnect the power supply immediately by unplugging the power
cord and setting the on/off switch to 0 (OFF). Never operate your device
with a damaged casing, defective lamps or a damaged power cord. Do
not open the device. Never repair the device on your own. Have the
device repaired exclusively by an electrician.
Please follow this instruction manual for maintaining your device.
Please only use spare parts which are conform to the required
specifications. See Technical Specifications.
WARNING
Danger of fire by overheating
The device itself and easily inflammable materials in close distance can
catch fire.
Do not cover the ventilation slots of the device during operation.
Do not leave the device unsupervised while it is being charged.
Remove easily inflammable materials which are in close distance to the
device.
Please only use spare parts which are conform to the required
specifications. See Technical Specifications.
WARNING
The Power Station is a rechargeable device. Please follow the safety and
disposal notes in the instruction manual and on the device.
Keep children away from device.
Only use the supplied charger or the power cord for charging the device.
The ideal ambient temperature is between 0°C and 40°C.
The device can get hot. Allow for it to cool down before charging.
Protect against wetness and moisture.
To guarantee an optimal lifetime, charge the device every 3 months
even when it is not being used.
After the device has completed charging, please unplug charging cable
and power cord from the device.
Dispose of the device at your local disposal area or send it back to the
manufacturer.
Do not leave the device unsupervised while it is being charged.
Do not use the device while it is being charged.
3. Unpack and check Power Station
1. Please unpack the Power Station carefully.
NOTE: Keep the packaging for future storage and transportation of the
Power Station.
2. Please check if the scope of delivery is complete:
1 Power Station
1 power cord
1 12V car cable
1 connecting cable for other power supply units
1 instruction manual in German and English
3. Please check if the scope of delivery is undamaged.
NOTE: If the scope of delivery is incomplete or damaged, please contact
8432-9489-0.

5. Quick-start guide
NOTE:
The detailed instruction for the following operations can be found in the
respective chapters in this instruction manual.
Maintain the order of the following operating steps when using the device for
the first time to avoid damaging the device.
WARNING
Please pay attention to the safety notes in the respective chapters
throughout operation.
1. Connect Power Station to power network for charging.
2. Connect device to Power Station.
3. Use Power Station with other power supply units.

Charging process with the power cord
Please plug the power cord into the socket of the
Power Station and connect the cord to your
power network.
NOTE: Compare the local power network with the connected load of the
device. If the values differ, please contact info@foto-walser.de or tel. +49
(0) 8432-94890.
The Power Station starts charging right away.
Charging display “Charging” flashes green and the ventilators run.
Once the Power Station is fully charged, the charging display lights up
green.

NOTE: While the Power Station is charging, no devices can be
commissioned. The display “Protection”on the Power Station lights up and
a beep can be heard at frequent intervals.
Charging process with the 12V DC car cable
Plug the 12V DC cable into the socket of the Power
Station and connect it to the socket in your car, e.g.,
the cigarette lighter.
The Power Station starts charging right away.
Charging display “Charging”flashes green and the ventilators run.
Once the Power Station is fully charged, the charging display lights up
green.
NOTE: While the Power Station is charging, no devices can be
commissioned. The display “Protection” on the Power Station lights up and
a beep can be heard at frequent intervals.
6.2. Connect devices to Power Station
WARNING! Please pay attention to the safety notes from pages 4-7
Plug power cord of the device into the
socket on the Power Station.
NOTE: You can use one to two flash and
electrical devices up to a maximum of 1000W
(e.g., two flash devices of 500W each or a flash device of 1000W).
6.3. Use Power Station with other power supply units
Use connecting cable to connect between the designated socket on
the Power Station and another power supply unit.
7. Switch Power Station on and off
1. Switch Power Station on:
Set on/off switch to I (ON).
2. The display “Power”lights up green.
If the display “Power”lights up orange, the Power Station is weakly
charged. If the display “Protection” lights up red and a beep can be
heard at frequent intervals, the Power Station has to be recharged.
Switch Power Station off:
Set on/off switch to 0 (OFF).
3. All displays disappear.
8. Transportation and storage of Power Station
Switch off Power Station.
See Switch Power Station on and off.
Please allow for Power Station to cool down completely.
WARNING! Danger of fire due to hot device components. Allow for
device to cool down completely.
If needed, please clean Power Station. See Cleaning the Power Station.
Please put Power Station and all dismantled elements into original
packaging and transport or store according to requirements of the
technical specifications. See Technical Specifications.

What you should do
Before each use
Inspect all cables, sockets and plugs for damage. If
damaged: WARNING! Danger of electric shock and
danger of fire due to short circuit. Have the Power
Station repaired by an electrician immediately.

WARNING

Please use cleaning supplies exclusively as specified.
Contact between Power Station and moisture or water must be avoided.
Always disconnect Power Station from power supply when cleaning it.
