Replacing TQ1500 – TQ3700 Mechanical Seal
1.Removingmechseal. WI-D3-S-B003E-1
Using Allen wrench (metric size) to loose the screws
and remove pressure tank.
Loose the screws and remove the motor fan cover.
(3-phase models do not have extension cable)
Using Allen wrench to remove the motor fan. Clamp the motor shaft.
Using wrench to loose the stud bolt and remove
impellers.
Remove the 2nd stage impeller and sleeve.

Remove the intermediate chamber kit. Remove the 1st stage impeller and sleeve.
Remove the sleeve, spring and washer.
(refer the red circled parts)
Remove the rotary parts of mechanical seal
Remove the stationary part. Remove the rubber from the stationary part.

2.Assembling mech seal.
Spray water on the shaft.as lubrication Place the stationary parts in position
Place in the stationary part Before press in rotary parts, insert the sleeve through
the hex shaft aligning the slots on sleeve to tabs on
washer.
Remove the sleeve before press in rotary parts. Press in rotary parts.

Place the spring onto rotary parts. Place the sleeve in position.
Identify the impellers – TQ3700, 2 impellers in same
size, Parts# C022D0030001.
Identify the impellers – TQ2200, 1st stage, Parts#
C022D0040006. 2nd state Parts# C022D0030001.
Identify the impellers – TQ1500, 1st stage, Parts#
C022D0040006. 2nd state Parts# C022D0060007.
Install the 1st stage impeller and sleeve.

Install the intermediate chamber kit.
(Make sure the white Teflon seal is in place).
Install the 2nd stage impeller and sleeve.
Using wrench to tighten up the stud bold. Install the motor fan.
Install the motor fan cover. Install O-ring onto pressure tank.
(Make sure the groove holding O-ring is clean)

Install the pressure tank.
(arrow on top position)
Tighten up the stud bolts.
