OLA-35
The
OLA-35
is loopedintothetest circuit using
test adapters, availablefor all standardconnector
systems (DIN, FC,
ST,
etc.).
The test portsare physicalcontact (PC)types.
This, together with the anti-reflex coated
components inthe attenuator module,
guarantees very low reflectionoperation.
A highreturnloss of
>
35 dB can be obtained
with the OLA-35. However, it can only be
realizedwhenthe connectingcablesusedalso
havevery low reflectionconnectors(e.g. DIN,
Super FGPC, Radial1VFO). Series K31XX test
cablesfrom
W&G
usethis typeof connector and
aretherefore particularlysuitablefor back
reflection-sensitiveapplications.
In normaloperationthe display of the OLA-35 is
battery-powered.
If the attenuationcan be readdirectly from a bit
error tester or opticalpower levelmeter in the
test circuit, the display can be switchedoff, as
the
OLA-35
stillfunctionsas an attenuator inthis
mode.
