GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS
For your protection, the Waring®Commercial Drink Mixer is
equipped with a 3-conductor cord set.
120-volt units are supplied with a molded 3-prong grounding-
type plug, and should be used in combination with a properly
connected grounding-type outlet as shown in Figure 1.

3
If a grounding-type outlet is not available, an adapter, shown in
Figure 2, may be obtained to enable a 2-slot wall outlet to be
used with a 3-prong plug.
As shown in Figure 3, the adapter must be grounded by attaching
its grounding lug under the screw of the outlet cover plate.
CAUTION: Before using an adapter, it must be determined that
the outlet cover plate screw is properly grounded. If in doubt,
consult a licensed electrician.
Never use an adapter unless you are sure it is properly grounded.
NOTE: Use of an adapter is not permitted in Canada.
INTRODUCTION
The Waring®Commercial Big Freeze™drink mixer is designed
specically to process thick, ice cream-based mixtures in
standard milk shake cups, utilizing a powerful and quiet, direct-
drive motor without noise-producing gears or belts.
OPERATION
Manual Operation
1. Be sure clear plastic splash shield is in position and slides
up and down freely.
2. Plug power cord into properly grounded electrical outlet of
correct voltage.
3. Set toggle switch to “ON” position.
4. Allow motor to reach full speed (1–2 seconds).
5. Bring mixing cup up into position under rotating agitator.
6. Lift cup upward in one slow continuous motion until agitator
bottoms out, then lower cup back down slowly until agitator
begins to emerge. Withdraw cup from spindle slowly enough

4
to allow mix residues to spin off agitator and be retained
in cup.

to complete mixing is to work slowly. Proper mixing requires
10–20 seconds (5–10 seconds up, and 5–10 seconds down).
7. Set toggle switch to “OFF” position.
8. The Pulse switch will operate at whatever speed the dial
is set to. The Pulse switch will only operate while pressed
forward or backward. Keep a rm grip on the cup while
using the Pulse switch.
