1. INTRODUCTION
Thismanualhasbeencompiledtoaidyoutooperateyourcrasafely.Pleaseensureyouread
thecompletemanualandfamiliariseyourselfwiththecrabeforeusingit.
Ifthisisyourrstboat,orareunfamiliarwiththistypeofboat,ensurethatyouobtainexperi-
enceinoperangandhandlingofthistypeofboatbeforeuse.Askyourlocaldealerforinfor-
maononlocalschoolsorinstructorsifrequired.
Ensurethatthewind&seacondionscorrespondtothedesigncategoryofyourboat,andthat
theallcrewonboardareabletohandlethecrainthesecondions.
YourboathasbeencarefullycategorisedtoDesigncategoryC,forwhichcondionsupto,and
including,windforce4andsignicantwaveheightsupto,andincluding,0.3mmaybeexpe-
rienced,withoccasionalwavesof0.5mmaximumheight,forexamplefrompassingvessels.
Thesearepotenallydangerouscondionswhereonlyatrained,compatent&tcrewcan
sasfactorilyoperate.
Thisowners’manualisnotadetailedmaintenanceortroubleshoongguide.Ifyourequire
anyspecicassitanceoradviceonthemaintenanceorserviceofyourboat,seekadvicefrom
yourdealer.
Alwaysuseanauthorisedserviceagentforanyrepairs,modicaonsorxingofthisboat.The
manufacturerwillnotbeheldresponsibleforanymodicaonsthathavenotbeenapproved.
Notethatinsomecountries,specicregulaonssuchasadrivinglisenceorauthorisaonis
required.Pleasecheckwiththelocalauthoritybeforeenteringthewater.Alwaysmaintainyour
craproperlyandmakeallowancefordeterioraonthatwilloccurinmeandasaresultof
heavyuseormisuse.
Theboatcanbecomedamagedwhenmisused,itisveryimportanttoenforcecorrectuse.
Alwaysadjustthespeedanddireconofyourboattotheseacondions.
Ensureappropriatesafetyequipmentsuchaslifejackets&harnessesarecarriedonboardatall
mes.Notethatitismandatorytocarrythisequipmentissomecountries.
Theboatcrewshouldbefamiliarwithallimportantsafetyproceduresandemergencymanou-
vering(manoverboardrecoveryetc).
Eachpersononboardshouldwearasuitablelifejacket,buoyancyaidorpersonaloataonat
allmes.Notethatinsomecountriesitisalegalrequirementtowearalifejacketthatcom-
plieswiththeirregulaons.

4.Onceyouaresasedthatyoufullyacknowledgeandunderstandtheapplicablelaws,ensure
thatyoureadthefollowingsafetyinstrucons.
PREPERATION
1.Eachpassengermustwearadequateclothingandasuitablelifejacket.
2.Ensurethatthestandardboatequipmentisonboardandtforuse.Thisincludestheoars,
footpumpandrepairkit.Notethataddionalsurvivalequipmentmaybeneccessary.
3.Theboatshouldneverbeoperatedbyperson(s)undertheinuenceofalcoholordrugs.
4. Do not exceed the maximum load rang or maximum engine power indicated within this
instruconleaet/buildersplate.
5.Ensurethatyoufactorwind&depaernsbeforedisembarking.Anyvariaoninthesecan
haveaneectonfuelconsumpon.
6. Consult with local authority to familiarise yourself with any dangers and hazards before
navigangwithinunfamiliarwaters.
7.Informsomeoneonshoreofyourmeandpointofdeparture,yourrouteandtheesmated
methatyouwillreturn.
8.Donotnavigatewithindarkcondionswithoutanynavigaonallighnginstalled.Checkall
navigaonalproductsinstalledarefullyworking.
9.Itisthedurtoftheboatoperatortoknowandfullyunderstandmarimeregulaonsandto
enquireaboutweatherandwatercondionsbeforeheadingouttosea.
10.Ensureallsurvivalequipment(signalares,rstaidkit,anchoretc)arefullychecked.
11.Donotuseacompressedairsourcetoinatetheboat.Overinaonmaycausetheseams
to rupture. Note that no inatable product is 100% airght, and that it is normal for your
cratoloseairduringlongperiodsofacvity/inacvity.Ifexcessivepressureislost,seizeuse
immediatelyandcontactyourdealer.
12.Considercarefullywhetheroarsorasmalloutboardmotorshouldbeuseddependingonsea
condions.Thepowermaynotbeenoughtocounterdalcurrentsorshallowwater.
13.DONOTEXCEEDRECOMMENDEDENGINEPOWERRATINGS!Anoutboardenginewithtoo
muchpowercanbeverydangerousandmayresultinseriousconsequences.
14.Ifyouintendtouseanoutboardengine,ensurethatyoutanemergencykill-switchcord.
15. Check regulary that your outboard engine is completely secure. If your engine becomes
loose,yourcramaybecomeuncontrollableormaycomeunaached.
16.Avoidplacingyourcraincontactwithobjectswhichhaveatemperaturelowerthan-20ºC
orhigherthan60ºC.Thiscanseriouslydamagetheboatskin.

1.Storefuelincontainersspecicallydesignedforthatpurpose.
2. Refuel whilst out of the cra only. Do not start the engine whilst refuelling. Never smoke
whilstrefuellingorhandlingfuel.
3.Donotremovethefuelcaporrefuelwiththeenginerunning,orwhilstitissllhot.
4.Youmuststoptheengineandturnotheignionbeforerefuelling.
5.Handlefueltankswithcauon,avoidingleakswithintheboatorwater.
6. Do not start the engine if fuel has leaked/spilled. Avoid creang sparks unl the fuel has
completelyevaporatedandthefumeshavedissipated.
7.Ensurefuelcapsareghtlyclosedwhennotinuse.
8.Reducepersonsonboardtoaminimumwhenrefuelling.
9.Ensurethatareexnguisheriskeptonboard.
10.Donotoverllyouroutboard.
11.Checkthefuelconneconstopreventfuelleaksandhazards.
12.Readtheoutboardengineinstruconsorcontactyourdealerforadviceonwhichtypeof
fueltouse.
1.Beawareoftherisksofcarbonmonoxidepoisoning.
-Exhaustgasescontaincarbonmonoxidewhichisatoxic,colourlessandodourless
gas.Inhalingcarbonmonoxidecanleadtolossofconciousness,andevendeath.
-Theconcentraonofexhaustgasesintheairmayincreaseconsiderablyifthe
engineisrunningandisinaconnedarea.Ensurethatadequatevenlaonis
providedtoavoidexcessiveaccumilaonofexhaustgases.
2.Allpassengersmustbeseatedeavenlyinsidetheboatandmustholdontohandrails/safety
rope.Donotsitonthetubes.
3.Ensureproperhandlingoftheoutboardengine.Dangeroushandlingofanoutboardmotor
may lead to serious injury or even death. Avoid swimmers, and discourage anyone from
swimmingtotherearoftheboatwhilsttheengineisrunning.
4.Avoidrapidacceleraonswhichcancauseyouoryourpassengerstofalloverboard.
5. In a circumstance where your cra must be towed, passengers must disembark, and all
equipmentmustberemoved.
6.Donottowyourtenderbythemooringringatthefront.Towusingthetowingringsontheside.
7.Weightmustbeevenlydistributedaroundthecra.Donotacceleratesuddenlyifyourboat
ismotorisedandnotheavilyladen.
9.Itisstronglyadvisedthatyoucarrybackupmanualbailingapparatusincaseofleak/ooding.
1.Neverstoreaboatwithfuelinthetankinaroomwherefuelvapourscouldreachaame,
sparkorstrongsourceofheat.
2.Neveruse cleaning productsthat include alcoholtoclean your cra.Useofthesetypeof
productsmaycauseprematuredryingoftheboatskin.
3.Ensurethatyourboatisstoredinaclean,dryarea-freeofpotenallyharmfulchemicalsor
liquids.
4.PVCissensivetoUVradiaon.Ifthecramustbestoredoutdoors,ensureitisprotected
withasuitablecover.

Refertothespecicaontableinthismanualorthemanufacturer’splateontheboatforthe
maximumnumberofpassengersandloadcapacityoftheboat.Posionthepassengersand
distributetheloadevenlyintheboattohelpcounterbalancetheweightoftheoutboard.

5. MAN-OVERBOARD PREVENTION & RECOVERY
Ifsomeonefallsoverboardtheycanreboardusingasuitablerecoveryladder.Ensurethat
youhavealiferingthatcanbethrowntoapersoninthewater.Inthissituaon,youshould
carefullymovealongsidetheperson,ensuringthattheydonotcomeintocontactwiththe
outboardmotorwhilstoperang.Inthisinstancewerecommendrowingtowardstheperson.
Alwaysensurestabilityoftheboatwhenresucingapersonfromsea.Ifthisisnotpossible,call
assistancefromanotherboat.Alwaysholdthesafetyropewhenrecoveringsomeonefromthe
water.

Ensurethatyouareawareofandrespectthelocalboanglawsandregulaons.
Donotexceedregionallimitsfornoiseandemissions.
Alwaysuseyourboatwiththeutmostrespectfortheenvironment.
Incaseofanoil,fuelorwaterleak,useacleaningmethodbestsuitedtotheenvironment.
Ensureappropriatedisposalofresidualwastessuchassolventsandothercleaningproducts.
Yourboatgenerateswavesandnoisewhichcanbedetrimentaltothenaturalenvironment.

1. Lay out boat skin
Laytheboatskinoutatandpullthetransomuprightasmuchaspossible
Yourboathasthreeairchamberswithintheskin.Beforeyouinsertthehosenozzle,makesurethatthe
valvehasbeenprimedbygivingthespringinthecentreaclockwise90ºturnensuringthespringitisatfull
length.
Thisensuresaposivesealoncethechamberisinated.
Toconnectthepumphosesecurelytothevalve,twistthe
nozzletolockintoplace.Usingthefootpump,inatethe
frontchamberunlabout1/2-3/4inated.
Repeatthisprocessforeachoftheothertwochambersontheboat.
ALUMINIUMFLOOR:Unpacktheoorseconsandtheooroutnexttotheboat.Litheportsideofthe
boatskinatthebowandinserttherstoorseconrightintothegroovesbetweentheoorandthepar-
allyinatedsideoftheboatskin.Thenrepeatforthestarboardside.Makesurebowboardispushedright
intothegroovesandthekeelvalveiseasilyaccessiblethroughtheholeintheoorsecon.Insertthenext
oorseconaswithbow,assuringitlocksintothebowoorsecon.Insertthelastboardintotheboatat
thesternendrst,andthemlockintothecentreseconatbefore.Pushtheboardsatandintothegrooves
betweentheoorandthesidesoftheboatskin.Pullsidesouttoallowboardstoslidein.Unpackthelocking
bars.Placetherstlockingbaronthelesidewiththeinsetsidebarfacingintotheboat.Tipthebarunder
theoorsotheinsertseconlocksboardsecons2and3together.Repeatforrightlockingbar.
AIRDECKFLOOR:Unrolltheoorandtthewoodensupportbaenintothepocketprovidedontheun-
dersideoftheairdeck(notapplicabletoWL230RAXS)Putthedeckintoplaceensuringtheinaonvalve
isfacingupwardsandtheholethroughtheairdeckallowsaccesstothekeelinaonvalve(WL270SAXT,
WL290SAXT,WL320SAXTonly)
SLATTEDFLOOR:Ifnotalreadyinplace,inserttheprovidedslatsintothestchedpocketsontheinsideof
theboatoor.
4. Fit seat
Makesureyouslideyourseatinplaceandtheninate.Donotinserttheseataerinang.
Insertpumppipeintothebowvalveagain,andfullyinatethebowoftheboatskin.Repeatforbothsides.
Makesurenottooverinate.Putcapsontovalvesleavingvalvestobeintheclosedposion.Allthree
compartmentsofyourboatshouldnowbeinated.
6. Assemble oars
Clipthetwopartoarstogether.Twisttheoarmounts(rowlocks)ontothepadsontheboat.Insertoarinto
rowlock,andsecureintotheoarretainer.
7. Final procedures
Axtheoutboardbracket(WL230RAXSonly)totherearoftheboat.Keepallaccessoriesawayinasafe
place.
OVERINFLATION MAY CAUSE SEAMS AND/OR CHAMBERS TO RUPTURE.

ALL LOADS MUST BE EVENLY DISTRIBUTED WITHIN THE CRAFT.
1.Rocks,wrecks,sandbanksandshallowwatershouldbeavoidedorapproachedwithcauon.

4.Donotuseoarsaslevers,doingsomaycausedamage
5.Ensurenoobjectsarelooseduringoperaonofyourcra.
6.Ifusinganoutboardengine,ensureyouhavereadtheinstruconsfullybeforeusewiththis
cra.
1.Donotuseanoutboardenginewhenlandingonabeach.Donotpulltheboatoverrocks,
shingles,sandortarredsurfaceswhichcancausedamagetotheboatoor.
2.Iftheboatmustbeleonthebeachforashortme,leavetheboatpartlyinwaterforcooling
andtoavoidtubeoverpressure.
3.Iftheboatisleinthesunforaprolongedamountofme,itshouldbecoveredtoprevent
damagefromtheUVrays.
4.Donottowyourtenderbythemooringringatthefront.Towusingthetowingringsontheside.
5.Towtheboatatamoderatespeed.
6.Placethemooringoranchoringlinesonthefrontringifrequired.
PUNCTUREWHILSTONWATER
Ifoneofthetubesbecomespucturedwhilstoutonthewater,moveloadstotheoppositeside
to the damaged tube. Aempt to limit the leak and manouver carefully to shore as soon as
possible.

15. MAINTENANCE
1.Donotusewaxes,vinyloralcoholbasedcleaners,astheymaydamageordryoutthematerial.
2.Spraydowntheboatandallaccessoriesaereachuse.Allowtodrybeforepackingaway.
DISASSEMBLY
Note:Carefullycleantheboatbeforerollingitup.Removesand,stonesandanyotherobjects
thatmayhavestuckontotheboat.
1.Deatetheboatbypressinginthevalvuebuonandturnit90ºtolockopen.
2.Removetheseat
3.Removetheoarsandpackintothebag.
4.Oncetheboatisdeatedat,foldthesidestowardstheinsideoftheboat.Thetubesshould
nowbetouching,butnotoverlapping.
5.Foldtheendofthetubesintothetransom.
6.Usethefootpumpindeatemodetoremoveanyremainingairfromthetubes.
7.Closethevalves.
8.Starngfromtherear,rolltheboatupandplacewithinthecarryingvalise,alongwiththe
footpump.
16. REPAIR
MINOR REPAIR
ShouldarepairneedtobecarriedouttoyourWavelineBoat,rstlyassesstherepairasyou
maybeabletousetherepairkitincludedwithyourboatusingthefollowinginstrucons:
1.Cutoutapatchwithroundedcornerstoasizewhichoverlapstheholeby5cmonallsizes.
2.Traceanoutlineofthepatchwhereitwillbeedontheboatandensurethisareaisclean
anddry.
3. Degrease both the patch and the area of the boat to be repaired using MEK or Acetone
solvent,andleavefor10minutes.
4.Applyathincoatofadhesivetobothsurfaces.
5.Leavefor20minutesthenapplyafurtherthinsecondscoattobothsurfaces.
6.Whileslltacky,bringtogetherbothsurfacesandapplyasmuchpressureaspossibleusinga
roundedobject(ie.backofaspoon)fromthemiddleofthepatchworkingoutwards.
7.Cleanoanyexcessglue.
8.Allowto cureforatleast12hourspriortoinaonexceptduringanemergencywhena
temporaryrepairwillsuce.
Whenlargerrepairworkisrequired,includinganydamagetothetransom,largetearsorfaulty
componentspleasecontactyourdealer.

18. WARRANTY
1.Theboatmustbestoredinawellvenlated,dryarea.

Wavelineinatableboatsandcomewitha4yearlimitedwarrantyonthematerialandseams
fromdateofmanufacture,oriflonger,a3yearwarrantyfromdateofpurchase.
Thewarrantywarrantsthatthebasefabricandseamswillnotfailbutwillremaintfortheir
purpose,providedthattheboatshallbestoredunder-coverandprotectedfromsunlightandthe
elementsatallreasonablemeswhennotinuse.
Wavelinealsohasa1yearwarrantyonthengswhichincludesvalves,seats,seatngs,
outboardbrackets,oarsandoarlocksfromdateofpurchase.
This warranty does not cover normal wear and tear, accidental damage, over-pressurisaon,
commercialuseincludingcharteruse,neglect,racing,orlackofmaintenance,fadingoroxidaon
orotherdamagecausedbyultra-violetradiaonorsundamage,fuelandsolvents.Nordoesit
covertheuseorabuseofanyaccessorynotsoldbyuswiththeboat.
Claimsshallbemadeunderthiswarrantybydeliveringtheboatduringnormalworkinghours
forinspeconbytheplaceofpurchasewhowilltheneitherdotherepairsorarrangeforthe
inspeconandrepair,providedsuchserviceiscoveredunderthiswarranty.Thepurchasershall
payforthecostofanytransportrequired.Iftheserviceneededisnotcoveredbythiswarranty
the purchaser shall pay for all related labour, materials and any other associated expenses
requiredtoxtheproblem.AnyboatorpartsshippedtotheTraderoragentmustbeshipped
withfreightprepaid.
Note:intheinterestsofobtainingthelongestlifefromyourinvestmentitisrecommendedthat
theboatandaccessoriesbehoseddownwithfreshwateraeruseandstoredinacool(not
freezing)dryplaceoutofthesunandweather,whilebeingveryslightlydeated.Sun-coversare
availablefromWavelinedealersatveryreasonableprices.
