Safety warning and disclaimer
This product is a water sports equipment that delivers a lot of power, not a toy. Usage is strictly pro-
hibited for people under 16 years of age. Surng with this product is considered an extreme sport with
a high level of risk, so you are recommended to decide whether to use it according to your physical
conditions and tness.
Please read this manual carefully before attempting to use the product. Do not operate the product
before you have familiarized yourself with its functions. If you have any questions concerning the oper-
ations of this product, please contact our technical support or authorized agents. Improper usage may
cuase product damage and property loss, and even cause serious injury or death to oneself or others.
Thorough training in using this product is required before it can be used safely, moreover basic com-
mon sense and strong safety awareness are required. You are committed to operating the product by
strictly conforming with the user manual and related regulations. You will take full responsibility for all
actions of using this product, and WaveShark will not bear any responsibilities for the consequences
caused by the violation of this manual or other relevant policies or guidelines.
Please ensure that you are using this product under reasonable circumstances and have a legitimate
purpose using it. In some countries and regions, a license may be required to use this product. When
you are using this product, you shall bear the legal responsibility for any improper behavior caused by
your own actions, such as violation of local laws, regulations, public order, or public safety.
For the following situations, we do not provide any technical support and security commitments:
1. Purchases by companies or individuals who purchased this product through unlicensed agents or
irregular channels;
2. Products that underwent unauthorized modication, debugging, and replacement of parts.
By using the product, you are deemed to have understood, approved of, and accepted all the terms
and contents of this manual. The user is responsible for his or her own actions and all consequences
arising therefrom. WaveShark has the right to update, revise, or terminate this manual and the rele-
vant policies and guidelines contained herein. WaveShark will not directly notify you of such changes.

Product safety guide
• Requirements for operators
1. This product is water sports equipment that delivers a lot of power, not a toy. Usage is strictly pro-
hibited for people under 16 years of age. Surng with this product is considered an extreme sport
with a high level of risk, so you are recommended to decide whether to use it according to your
physical conditions and physical tness;
2. People who are unable to engage in strenuous physical activities due to illness, people who are

EN suffering from fatigue, and pregnant women are not allowed to use this product;
3. The following people are prohibited to use the product:
1) Those who are diagnosed with a heart disease, cardiovascular disease, mental disease, epilepsy,
respiratory disturbance, high blood pressure, skin disease, hepatitis, severe trachoma, intestinal
infectious disease, acute conjunctivitis, otitis media, or other infectious diseases;
2) Those who are elderly, weak, sick, disabled, pregnant, and those who are affected by osteoporosis,
hyperosteogeny, lumbar disc herniation, etc.;
3) Those taking illegal drugs or controlled substance, suffering from a cough or fever, and those
with inuenza aggravated by heat and humidity;
4) Those who have undergone major surgery or suffered from major diseases within a year;
5) Those who have undergone facial plastic surgery or physical plastic surgery with a year;
6) Others who are not suitable for the water sport.
4. The operator shall not use this product when under the inuence of drugs or alcohol, suffering
from drug paralysis, dizziness, or other physical discomfort, or when in a poor mental state. It is
recommended for people within 100kg aging 6~70 to use the product at least 60 minutes after a
meal without drinking alcohol. Those who cannot swim, over 55 or under 14 years old, shall use
the product with the companion of WaveShark certied instructors;
5. Please ensure that you wear a certied life jacket and helmet when using this product. If without
permission, you shall not remove the life jacket and helmet when surfing. Before using the
product, please contact the lifeguard to conrm it is used within the lifesaving range. If you fall
into the water, don’t panic because the life jacket will ensure your safety. You shall keep your head
up and hands open, lie at on the water, whistle and wait for rescue;
6. Before using the product, please keep your personal belongings safe. When surng, please do not
wear necklaces, rings, watches, smartphones, cameras, or other foreign objects, to avoid loss of
items or damage to human body;
7. When using the product, please do not carry any live equipment. In the face of bad weather such
as thunder, storm, lightning, please leave the water immediately;
8. Before using this product, please read all the instructions and warnings in this manual carefully,
and watch the tutorial videos publised on WaveShark’s ofcial website www.waveshark.com;
9. You should understand and abide by local laws and regulations related to the usage of this product,
abide by public order, ensure public safety, and be responsible for all your actions.
• Operational environment requirements
1. Make sure that the water depth exceeds 1.5 m when using the equipment;
2. Certain objects may get entangled in the propeller, causing damage to the propulsion system,and
may lead to personal injury from the operator falling into the water. Therefore, when using this
equipment, make sure that there are no water plants or other oating objects nearby;
3. It is strictly prohibited to use this product in waters where there are reefs and rocks, branches,
dams, buoys, shing nets and other underwater obstacles. A collision might cause serious damage,
or even death to the operator;
4. It is strictly prohibited to use this product at night and during bad weather, including but not limited
to strong wind, rain, fog, big waves, darkness and other weather that will affect the view or the
safety of the operator;
5. Do not use this product near other people when in water, including but not limited to swimmers,

surfers, divers and other people;
6. Do not use this product in waters close to where watercrafts use, including but not limited to
motorboats, boats, etc.;
7. Do not use this product in specially marked waters, including but not limited to waters with diving
marks, operation marks, shark marks, environmental protection marks, and other safety marks.
• Pre-use inspection
1. Make sure that all the equipment and parts used are manufactured by WaveShark and that all
parts are in good working condition. Do not use damaged equipment;
2. Make sure that the board battery and remote controller are fully charged before using this product;
3. Make sure that the operator has read this manual and watched the tutorial videos before
using the equipment or giving it to others for usage. It is your responsibility to ensure the safety
of a new operator.
• Operational requirements
1. It is strictly prohibited to put your ngers, toes, and other body parts near the spinning propeller,
and you shall not repair the propeller when in water. Touching the spinning propeller may
cause serious injury;
2. Please keep clothes and hair away from the propeller. Injury or death may occur if clothes or hair
are entangled in the propeller;
3. Do not wear loose, lace-up clothes to prevent the edges or straps of the clothes from getting
entangled in the propeller;
4. Please always pay attention to your surroundings during surfing, especially pay attention to
swimmers, ships, obstacles, etc. that are located in the direction of your path. Collision may cause
serious injury or other boats;
5. Always maintain a controlled speed while surng in order to avoid obstacles in the water, such as
buoys, or other boats;
6. Please return immediately when remote controller vibrates during surfing, because it indicates
the end of surng experience or low battery level;
7. In the face of danger, please immediately release the accelerator trigger of the remote controller,
stop surng and jump into the water, which will cut off the propulsion power and prevent the
equipment from hitting other swimmers or boats;
8. The equipment can only be controlled by a single person, and usage by two or more people at
the same time may cuase safety accidents.
Battery safety guide
• Usage
1. Be careful when handling and positioning the battery on a at surface to avoid damage to the
battery shell;
2. This battery is only for usage with WaveShark equipment;
3. It is strictly prohibited to disassemble the equipment, as high voltage parts are located inside
the equipment and certain parts cannot be repaired;
4. Do not disassemble, modify, or alter the battery;
5. Avoid any collision, impact, or physical damage;

EN 6. Please check the battery before use. The battery is a sophisticated waterproof unit. If the battery
is damaged during use or transportation, effectiveness of the seal may also be damaged.
Exposure of a damaged battery to water may cause internal damage, including re or explosion.
It is strictly prohibited to use damaged batteries. Battery damage might have occurred in the
following situations:
1) Loose connector
2) Shell cracking
3) Disformation
4) The battery produces and acidic odor
5) Extremely high temperature during charging (60°C or higher)
6) Other abnormal conditions
7. It is strictly prohibited to use wires or other conductive objects to short-circuit the positive and
negative poles of the battery;
8. Do not install the battery in water, and complete the assembly of all parts in a dry environment on
the shore;
9. Do not insert or remove the battery when the battery power is on. Otherwise, the power interface
may be damaged. Please keep the battery power off before installing or unplugging the battery;
10. The normal range of the battery’s operating environment temperature is 0°C-40°C. Overtemperature
may cause ring or even explosion of the battery. Low temperature (below -10°C) will cause a severe
reduction of the battery’s performance and might lead to failure to meet usage requirements;
11. Do not turn on the battery before it is installed properly;
12. When the battery is turned on, there will be a high voltage between the electrodes. Do not
touch the battery connector directly;
13. Every time before use, make sure that the battery is fully charged. Always pay attention to the
battery level indicator and warnings during usage for a safe return to the shore.
• Charging
1. Always use the dedicated charger supplied by WaveShark for charging. WaveShark will not assume
the responsibility for any consequences caused by using a non-specied charger for charging;
2. When charging, please put charger and battery in a stable and dry place that is free of ammable
and explosive objects and out of the reach of children;
3. Do not charge the battery if it is damaged;
4. Do not leave the battery unattended during charging;
5. This product should be charged at ambient temperatures between 5°C and 40°C. Do not charge
this product near a re source, or in high or low temperature environments;
6. Do not charge the battery immediately after use. After usage, the battery might reach very high
temperature levels. It is recommended to let it cool down to room temperature before re-charging;
7. Do not charge the battery for a prolonged period of time. Disconnect the charger from the
battery after charging.
• Storage
1. If the battery needs to be stored for a longer duration (over 30 days), charge or discharge it to
45%-50% of battery charging level before storing. Otherwise, long-term storage may lead to
battery damage;

2. During storage, the battery shall be charged every three months to maintain 45%-50% of battery
charging level;
3. Remove the battery from the board after usage, and store it in a safe storage environment;
4. Ideally, the battery should be stored at a temperature range of 0°C-25°C. Keep the product away
from re and high temperature environments, such as direct sunlight, inside the car on a hot day,
and near a re or heating source to avoid battery overheating, which would shorten the battery
life or might even result in an accident;
5. The storage environment should be kept cool and dry, and should not be exposed to the sun or rain.
• Disposal
1. It is strictly forbidden to disassemble or open the disposed battery by yourself. Improper
operation might cause the battery to catch re or explode;
2. Careless disposal of the battery can cause fire. Always fully discharge the battery before
discarding it. Please strictly follow local regulations on battery disposal and recycling. Send the
battery to a professional recycling company for disposal.
• Transportation
1. Batteries are considered dangerous objects and should not be transported on passenger aircrafts.
Batteries shall be transported by cargo planes or marine cargo ships;
2. It is illegal and dangerous to transport batteries without compliance with the regulations of the
transportation of dangerous goods. Always consult a professional before shipping batteries. For
information on shipping batteries by air or sea, please refer to our ofcial website www.waveshark.
com > Support > User Manual > MSDS;
3. The battery of the board is classied as a Class 9 dangerous object. Please transport the battery
in strict accordance with Regulations on Safe Transport of Class 9 Dangerous objects. It is illegal
and dangerous to falsely declare batteries as common goods for transport. Please follow the
requirements of the shipping company and provide the MSDS certicate that has been provided
with the surfboard.

Installation guide
Please install WaveShark Foil in a clean and dry place by the following steps or the tutorial videos in
the WaveShark app.
Connect board and mast
Before surng, please connect the board and mast in accordance with the following steps.
1) Place the board on a at surface with the bottom facing upside;
2) Move the mast close to the base, connect the waterproof connector of the mast to the waterproof
plug of the driver box, and screw them tightly;
Caution: When installing the mast, be sure to keep the mast close to the base. While installing
the waterproof connector, do not use force to pull the wire. When removing the mast,
tilt the mast rst and make sure to detach the waterproof connector before removing
the mast. Forcefully pulling the wire will cause damage to the equipment or water leakage.
3) Fix the mast in the installation position on the board using M8 screws, and make sure the mast
bottom tightly touches the board' bottom, leaving no margin of slack.
Connect wing set and wing pole
Before using the product, please connect the wing set and wing pole in accordance with the following
steps.The wing set covers three types, including Cruiser wing, Sport wing, and Race wing. Actual wing
choice depends on your specic conguration.
The tool kits used to connect the cruiser/sport wing and the wing pole are the same, while the tool kit used
to install the race wing is different from them.

EN • Connect cruiser/sport wing and wing pole
1) As shown in the gure below, x the front wing to the head of the wing pole with the screwdriver
(M5) and 3 screws (M6x40). Then, x the rear wing to the end of the wing with 2 screws (M6x22);
2) Firmly x the whole wing to the end of the mast with 2 screws (M6x30).
• Connect race wing and wing pole
1) As shown in the gure below, x the front wing to the head of the wing pole with the screwdriver (M5) ,
screw (M6x30), and 2 screws (M6x22). Then, fix the rear wing to the end of the wing pole with
2 screws (M6x22);
2) Firmly x the whole wing to the end of the mast with 2 screws (M6x30).
Install the battery
The battery has been installed with a connector cover prior to delivery. Please remove it
before rst use, and restore the battery connector cover if for long-term storage.

2) Unlock the four battery latches;
3) Install the battery carefully from back to front, and ensure the battery sits in the compartment evenly;
4) Lift the battery gently by grips and slowly shift it backwards until the battery connector aligns
with the charger interface;
5) Press the battery to ensure it is slotted into place;
6) Secure the four battery latches.
Warning: Be sure to insert the battery carefully. Do not drop it into the board.
Install the wristband
As shown in the figure below, thread the string of the wristband through the bottom hole of the
remote controller and tighten it.

• Power on/off the board
The power button on the board is a touch switch.
Power on: Press the power button until the indicators light up in turn.
Power off: Press the power button until the indicators turn off.
Caution: The board cannot be turned off manually as usual after the safe lock is enabled. For
more details, please refer to the safe lock user guide.
• Charge the board
The charger has been installed with a port cover prior to delivery. Please remove it before rst use,
and restore the charger port cover if for long-term storage.
1) Put the battery and charger in a dry place and keep clear of re or inammable objects;
2) Connect the charger interface to the battery interface;
3) Connect the AC cable of the charger to the socket outlet;
During charging, the charger and battey indicators work as below:

4) The charger will be automatically turned off after the battery is fully charged. It takes about 2.5
hours to fully charge a battery.

EN Introduction to remote controller
①Power button: Long press for 3 seconds to power on or off;
②Upshift button: The gear shift control button on the remote controller. Press it to upshift and confirm
by pressing the Power button. The highest gear is 4;
③ Downshift button: The gear shift control button on the remote controller. Press it to downshift and
conrm by pressing the Power button. The lowest gear is 1;
④Trigger: Accelerator control;
⑤Charging port: The charging port of the remote controller;
⑥Screen: AMOLED display screen which displays the battery level, speed, accelerator, and alarm
notications.

Charge the remote controller
1) Open the rubber-plug on the charging port of the remote controller;
2) Connect the remote controller to the socket outlet with the USB charging cable (supplied) and a
compatible power adapter (sold separately);
3) The screen of the remote controller will automatically light up and display the charge icon during
charging;
4) After the battery is fully charged, unplug the charging cable, and re-attach the rubber plug onto
the charging port.
Caution:
Always maintain at least 50% of battery level for the remote controller before each use;
Ensure that the rubber plug is rmly attached to the charging port of the remote controller before
each use. Otherwise, this may lead to corrosion due to water exposure.
Safe lock user guide
Safe lock aims at protecting the surfboard battery from being powered off by mistake, ensures the
safety of each ride.
Caution: After enabling the safe lock, the operation of powering off the board manually will not
work. Before you can do that, you have to press the power button twice on the remote
controller to disable the safe lock.
Before each ride
1. Connect remote controller and surfboard successfully;

2. Pull the trigger of the remote controller;
3. Press the power button twice on the remote controller to enable the safe lock;
Caution: After the safe lock is enabled, the operation of powering off the board manually will not work.
After each ride
1. Press the power the button twice to disable safe lock;

2. Power off the board and remote controller manually as usual.
Other
In case of any remote controller damage or low battery power which stops disabling the safe lock,
the board will go into the standby mode for 10 minutes and force the remote controller to exit from
the safe mode automatically afterwards. Then, users can power off the board manually. It is strictly
forbidden to remove the battery when the board is not shut down.
Pair remote controller with board
The rst time you use the board, or when the remote controller fails to connect with the board, or the
remote controller needs replacing, it is required to pair the remote controller with the board.
1. Turn on the board by pressing the Power button;
2. With the remote controller turned off, activate the pairing mode by pressing the Power button and
Upshift botton simultaneously until the remote controller is on and displays auto-searching;
3. According to the onscreen instructions, press the Upshift and Downshift buttons to select the corre-
sponding board, and press the Power button for conrmation;
4. After successful connection, the remote controller will automatically go to the home screen. Gently
touch the trigger of the remote controller. Pairing is successful if the propeller works normally.
Caution: Do not touch the trigger of remote controller over 5 seconds outside the water.

EN Activate board and remote controller
It is required to activate the board and remote controller before rst use by following the steps below.
Activate the board
1) Sign up and log in to the WaveShark app;
2) Power on the board and connect to the app to get the serial number ( SN );
• Turn on the board by pressing the Power button
• Tap Connect in the app
Caution: Only one board and one remote controller is available for the app to connect each time.
• Select the board type
• Get the serial number (SN);
