Congratulations for buying the Webasto Diesel Cooker X100. You have purchased a
high-quality Webasto product which will provide you with great satisfaction when
cooking in your mobile home
Before using the cooker, please get familiar with the operation of the device and
carefully read the operation instructions.
1 Overview and function

The Webasto Diesel Cooker
X100 is a safe diesel cooker
withnoopenflame.The
exhaustgasesare led outof
thevehiclethroughthe
exhaustgastube,whichis
insidethe cooling airtube.
Thesteamfromtheexhaust
gaswillnotstay in the
vehicletoaddhumidity.
Asthedieselfuelburns, the
releasedheatis transferred
totheceramic plate. The
hottestareaison the round
plate.Gentlerheatis
availableontheoblong
extension.Theheatpoweris
steplesslyadjustable.
Acoolingfanin the
ventilationboxensuresthat
thetemperatureinthe
mountingspacewillnot rise
toohigh. The warmair is led
outthroughthecoolingair
tube.
Thecooker is ideallysuited
forcooking and heating ofall
kinds of food.
Thecooker is made entirely
ofstainlessmaterials.

2 Use of the cooker
2.1 Start
Thecookerstarts to heat up
automaticallywhenthe
powerbuttonis switched to
ONposition.Theyellow
indicatorlamp lights upas
soon as the cooker is
switchedon.Thered
combustionlampwilllightup
whenthecombustionis
stabilizedintheburner,
about2.5-4minutesafterthe
start-up.
Please note:
Thecookerwillnot
necessarilystartatfirst after
theinstallationwhen thefuel
hoseisempty.Then the
combustionlightstartsto
blinkabout4.5minutes after
thestart-up.Turnthepower
switchtoOFF position. The
cookercannot be restarted
untilbothindicatorlamps
havegoneout(run down
phase).
Oncetheindicator lamps
havegoneout,restartthe
cooker.Thecombustion
lampwilllight up about 2.5-4
minutesafterthestart-up,
whenthecombustionis
normal.
Never keep the cooker on without
cooking.
The cooker locks itself after two
unsuccessful starts.
If the device will not start, even though
the fuel has reached the pump, do not
try to start it more than twice without
checking the cause of the problem.

For safety reasons do not use the
cooker when the vehicle is moving.
Make sure that the vehicle is ventilated
while cooking.

Before starting up the cooker at
altitudes below 1800 m make sure that
the high altitude button is not pressed
down.
2.2 Adjustment
Afterstarting,thepower can
beadjustedsteplessly.You
shouldavoidunnecessary,
quickadjusting back and
forth,asit gathers sootin the
burner.
2.3 Turn off
Turnthepowerswitchto
OFFpositionto shut down
thecooker.Thered
combustionlampwill keep
blinkingforabout5 minutes
whilethecookeris run down
phase.Youcannot restartthe
cookeruntilthecombustion
lamphas stopped blinking.
2.4 High altitude
function
Becauseof changing air
densityindifferentaltitudes,
thecooker is used with high
altitudeparametersat
altitudesof over 1800m
abovesealevel. Press the
highaltitudebuttondown
whenthecooker is stillin
OFFposition. Now the
orangehighaltitude
indicationlamplights up.
Switchthecooker ON
normally.Afterswitching the
cookerOFF,press the high
altitudebuttonagaintothe
offpositionwhenyoudrive
under1800m.
2.5 Hot plate

Anorangehot plate
indicationlamplights on the
lower edge of ceramic plate
whentheplateishot.Thehot
plateindication lamp will
lightupimmediatelyafterthe
start.Thelampwillremain
on for 50 minutes (±10%)
afterthe cooker has been
turnedoff.
The air inlets and outlets must never be
covered.
Exhaust gas is hot. Always make sure
that there is no inflammable material
within 200 mm after the exhaust outlet.
Never cut the power from the cooker
before the run down phase has been
completed.
The Cooker must be switched off at
filling stations and tank farms because of
the risk of explosion.
Wherever inflammable vapours or dust
may form, the cooker must be switched
off because of the risk of explosion.
The cooker may not be operated in
enclosed spaces, such as garages, as a
result of the rise of poisoning and
asphyxiation.

Do not drop anything onto the ceramic
plate or its edges, because it might
break.
2.6 Ceramic plate
Werecommendyouonlyuse
vesselswithalevel bottom in
ordernotto scratch or
damagethecooking plate. If
youuse the coldplate as a
worktop,wipeitcarefully
afterwards.Evenasmall
hardcrumblecanscratchthe
platewhen a kettleis placed
overit.Minor scratches in
thecooking plate do not,
however,affecttheheating
propertiesofthe stove in any
way.
2.7 Cooking dishes
Use cooking dishes suitable
for ceramic cooking plates.
Thebottomof the ideal
cookingvesselshould be
slightlyconcavewhenitis
cold,sothatthermal
expansionmakesit flat on
thestoveandheat energy is
besttransferredtothe
vessel.
Theidealthickness of the
bottomof a cooking vessel
is2-3 mm for steel enamel
vesselsand 4-6 mm forsteel
kettleswithasandwich
bottom.
Do not place any items of clothing,
textiles or similar materials over the
ceramic plate when it is hot.
Use Webasto Diesel Cooker X100 only for
cooking. It is not a heater.
Exhaust tube radiates heat. Beware of
the hot surface of the tube during use.

3 Servicing
3.1 Cleaning
Inordertokeepyour
cookingplate tidy andeasy
touse,youshouldcleanit
regularly,preferably after
everytime it is used. First
removethescraps with a
spatula.Pour a fewdrops of
detergentintendedfor
ceramicplates on thecold
plate and wipe it with a
papertowel.Rinse the plate
andwipe it drywith a clean
cloth.Donot use a
scratchingspongeor
scrubbingagents.You
shouldalsoavoidstrong
chemicaldetergents,such
asovencleaning spray or
spotremovers.
Cleananymeltedaluminium
foil,plastic,sugaror mixture
containingsugarfromthehot
platestraightaway to avoid
damagetothe surface.
Beforecookinganything
containinglotsofsugar,the
plateshould be wipedwith a
protectiveagenttoprevent
anydamageto the surfaceif
thefoodboils over.
If you clean your vehicle with a high-pressure washer, be careful not to
spray water into the exhaust tube below the vehicle.
3.2 Basic
maintenance
Thecookershall be serviced
everytwoyearsbyan
authorizedservicecentre.
Incaseofintensiveuse,
replacethefuel filter once a
year.
Cookeruses diesel fuel.
Followtherequirementsof
theenginemanufacturerin
choosingthefueltype. If
requiredbytheengine,you
canaddanti-freezeagent
suitedtothe engine in
correctmixing ratio to bind
waterfromthefuel.

Opening the locking:
1. Switch the power ON (lock blinking).
2. Disconnect the main power cord (blinking stops).
3.Reconnect the main power cord(theyellowLED lights up for 1-3
seconds).
4.When the yellow LEDhasgone out, switch the powerOFF.
The red lamp begins blinking when failure signal has lasted for 5
minutes.
3.3 Signal lights in
case of malfunctions
Incaseofmalfunctioningthe
yellow andredlamps on the
operating panel indicate a
possiblefailuretype.
Dependingonthefailure
typepleasecheck the
following:
1.Are thebatteries
sufficientlycharged?The
stove needs at least 10.7 V
forthestartup.
2.Doesthe fuel hose carry
fuel?
3.Isthe cooling air fan
runningfreelywithout
blockage?
4. Does the cooling fan get
enoughairfrom inside the
vehicle?
Ifthecooker still does not
startafterarestart,you
shouldcontactanauthorized
Webastoservice centre for
assistance.

In the enent of long lasting heavy smoke development, unusual
combustion noises or a smell of fuel or if the cooker suffers continuous
fault cutouts with error messages, it must be put out of service by
removing the fuse and must not be reused until it has been inspected by
an authorized Webasto centre.

4. Warranty terms
Manufacturerisliableforany
rawmaterialand
manufacturingdefectsfor24
monthsfromthepurchase
dateonthefollowing
conditions.
1.Thedefect must be
reported as soon as it
appears.Avalid purchase
receipt is required.
2.Thewarrantycovers
materialandmanufacturing
defects,providedthatthe
manufacturer’sinstructions
forinstallationandusehave
beenfollowed.
3.For repairs under
warranty,thecustomershall
deliverthedevice to the
nearestWebasto retailer or
authorisedmaintenance
shop.After-salesservicewill
notbe carried out in the field
orinthevehicle.
4.Thewarrantyisnotvalid, if
partsof foreign origin have
been added to the device or
itsstructurehasbeenaltered
withoutthemanufacturer’s
consent.
5.Faults or defectscaused
bynaturalwearandtear(fuel
filter, bottom mat, fuelpipe),
incorrecthandling,
unsuitablefuel,undervoltage,
overvoltageorwater
damagedo not entitle to
warrantyclaims.
Claims can only be made if it can be
verified that the claimant has complied with
the servicing and safety instructions.
Failure to follow the installation, operation
and service instructions and notes
contained therein will lead to all liability
being refused by Webasto.
6.Repairs carried outduring
thewarrantyperioddo not
reneworchangethe original
warrantyperiod.
7. In order to be able to
providehigh-standard
services,theretailer has to
keep up a register of buyers
foranytechnicalinformation,
adjustmentorupdating
needsafterthewarranty
period,sothatthe buyers
can be reached if required.
8.Warranty will be valid in
vehicleinstallation,itwillnot
bevalidin boat installation.
