1. Before beginning any exercise program,
consult your physician. This is especially
important for persons over age 35 or per-
sons with pre-existing health problems.
2. It is the responsibility of the owner to ensure
that all users of the exercise cycle are ade-
quately informed of all precautions.
3. Your exercise cycle is intended for home use
only. Do not use your exercise cycle in a
commercial, rental, or institutional setting.
4. Keep your exercise cycle indoors, away from
moisture and dust. Place your exercise cycle
on a level surface, with a mat beneath it to
protect the floor or carpet. Make sure that
there is at least 2 ft. (0.6 m) of clearance
around your exercise cycle.
5. Inspect and properly tighten all parts regu-
larly. Replace any worn parts immediately.
6. Keep children under age 12 and pets away
from your exercise cycle at all times.
7. Your exercise cycle should not be used by
persons weighing more than 250 lbs.
(113 kg).
8. The pulse sensor is not a medical device.
Various factors, including the user's move-
ment, may affect the accuracy of heart rate
readings. The pulse sensor is intended only
as an exercise aid in determining heart rate
trends in general.
9. Wear appropriate exercise clothes while
exercising; do not wear loose clothes that
could become caught on your exercise
cycle. Always wear athletic shoes for foot
protection while exercising.
10. Keep your back straight while using your
exercise cycle; do not arch your back.
11. When you stop exercising, allow the pedals
to slowly come to a stop.
12. If you feel pain or dizziness while exercising,
stop immediately and cool down.
13. Use your exercise cycle only as described in
this manual.

BEFORE YOU BEGIN
Thank you for selecting the new WES O®PURSUIT
T3.8 exercise cycle. Cycling is an effective exercise
for increasing cardiovascular fitness, building
endurance, and toning the body. The PURSUIT T 3.8
exercise cycle provides a selection of features
designed to make your workouts at home more effec-
tive and enjoyable.
For your benefit, read this manual carefully before
you use the exercise cycle. If you have questions
after reading this manual, please see the front cover
of this manual. To help us assist you, note the product
model number and serial number before contacting
us. The model number and the location of the serial
number decal are shown on the front cover of this
manual.
To avoid a registration fee for any service needed
under warranty, you must register the exercise
cycle at www.wesloservice.com/registration.

the parts that are labeled in the drawing below.

ASSEMBLY
To hire an authorized service technician to assemble the exercise cycle, call 1-800-445-2480.
Assembly requires two persons. Place all parts of the exercise cycle in a cleared area and remove the pack-
ing materials. Do not dispose of the packing materials until assembly is completed.
In addition to the included tool(s), assembly requires a Phillips screwdriver and an
adjustable wrench .
As you assemble the exercise cycle, use the drawings below to identify small parts. The number in parentheses
below each drawing is the key number of the part, from the PART IST near the end of this manual. The number
following the key number is the quantity needed for assembly. Note: Some small parts may have been pre-
assembled. If a part is not in the hardware kit, check to see if it has been preassembled.

3. Insert the end of the Seat Frame (5) into the
Frame (1).
Firmly press the Frame Bushing (56) into the
Frame (1).
Attach the Frame Bushing (56) with two M4 x
5mm Self-tapping Screws (66). Then, tighten
the Adjustment Knob (9) into the Frame.
Carefully tip the exercise cycle onto its side.
Attach the two Bumpers (57) to the Frame (1)
with two M4 x 8mm Screws (29) and two M4
Washers (67). Then, tip the exercise cycle
upright.

Turn the Front Stabilizer (2) so that the large
holes are facing the Frame (1).
Attach the Front Stabilizer (2) to the Frame (1)
with two M10 x 60mm Patch Screws (33).

2. Attach the Rear Stabilizer (6) to the Seat Frame
(5) with two M10 x 75mm Carriage Bolts (30)
and two M10 ocknuts (65).

6. Attach the Backrest (60) to the eft and Right
Seat Brackets (14, 15) with four M6 x 35mm
Button Screws (61) and four M6 Washers (52).
See step 4. Tighten the two M8 ocknuts (10).

5. Attach a Seat Handle (59) to the round tube on
the eft Seat Bracket (14) with two M6 x 30mm
Button Bolts (64), two M6 Curved Washers (55),
and two M6 ocknuts (63).
Attach the other Seat Handle (59) to the
Right Seat Bracket (15) in the same way.
4. Attach the eft and Right Seat Brackets (14, 15)
to the Seat Frame (5) with two M8 x 125mm
Bolts (62), four M8 Washers (54), and two M8
ocknuts (10) as shown. Do not tighten the
Locknuts yet.

8. While another person holds the Upright (13)
near the Frame (1), locate the wire tie in the
Upright.
See the inset drawing. Tie the lower end of the
wire tie to the end of the Wire Harness (27).
Pull the other end of the wire tie upward out of
the top of the Upright (13).
Insert the excess wire downward into the Frame
(1). Then, insert the Upright (13) into the Frame.
Tip: Avoid pinching the wires. Attach the
Upright (13) with three M8 x 20mm Patch
Screws (34) and three M8 Split Washers (42).
7. Attach the Seat (12) to the eft and Right Seat
Brackets (14, 15) with four M6 x 35mm Button
Screws (61) and four M6 Washers (52).

10. While another person holds the Console (16)
near the Upright (13), connect the console wire
to the Wire Harness (27).
Insert the wires downward into the Upright (13).
Tip: Avoid pinching the wires. Attach the
Console (16) to the Upright (13) with four M6 x
15mm Button Screws (46).

9. The Console (16) can use four AA batteries (not
included); alkaline batteries are recommended.
IMPORTANT: If the Console has been
exposed to cold temperatures, allow it to
warm to room temperature before inserting
batteries. Otherwise, you may damage the
console displays or other electronic compo-
nents. Remove the battery cover, insert the
batteries into the battery compartment, and
reattach the battery cover. Make sure to orient
the batteries as shown by the diagram
inside the battery compartment.

11. Identify the eft Pedal (24), which is marked
with an “ ” sticker.
Using an adjustable wrench, firmly tighten the
eft Pedal (24) counterclockwise into the left
arm of the Crank (21). Tighten the Right Pedal
(not shown) clockwise into the right arm of the
Crank.
IMPORTANT: Tighten both pedals as firmly
as possible. After using the exercise cycle
for one week, retighten the pedals. For best
performance, keep the pedals tightened.
Adjust the strap on the eft Pedal (24) to the
desired position, and press the end of the strap
onto the tab on the eft Pedal. Adjust the strap
on the Right Pedal (not shown) in the same
way.

12. Make sure that all parts are properly tightened before you use the exercise cycle. After assembly is
completed, some extra parts may be left over. Place a mat under the exercise cycle to protect the floor.
