• Ifyourdishwasheristtedwithawaterinlethosewithsafety
valve,youwillneedanopeningofatleast45mmx90mm
inyourcupboardsinordertofeedthehosethroughit.


820mmiswiththelevellinglegsscrewedinattheminimumheight.



Note: if the opening is greater than 600mm wide then a
suitable width filler piece should be secured to the cupboard
before installing the dishwasher.

Goodlevellingisessentialforcorrectclosureandsealing
ofthedoor.
Whentheapplianceiscorrectlylevelled,thedoorwillnot
catchorruboneithersideofthecabinet.
Leaveaspaceof2mmbetweenthetopofthedishwasher
andtheundersideofthekitchencounter.

Securethedishwasherbyscrewingitrmlyinpositionunderthe
benchortothecupboardbesideit.Usetheangularbrackets
suppliedwhicharettedintotheslotsontopofthedishwasher
(seegurebelow).
Tightenthemachineinposition(upwardsorsideways)by
usingthescrewssupplied(3.5x16mm)
Tightenthescrewssothatthedishwashercannottipforward
andcausedamagewhenthedoorisopenandloaded.
CAUTION
The dishwasher must be secured to the underside of the
worktop or to adjacent units by using the brackets supplied.
Neglect to do this can cause injury or damage.
Under no circumstances may holes be drilled through
the sides of the dishwasher since this could damage the
hydraulic components.
CAUTION
No further openings for venting of the dishwasher are
required, but only to let the water fill and drain hose and
power supply cable to pass through.
Theheightoftherecesswherethedishwasheristobeinstalled
canvarybetween825mmand885mmfromtheoorsincethe
dishwasheristtedwithadjustablefeet(max.60mm).
Leaveaspaceof2mmbetweenthetopofthedishwasher
andtheundersideofthekitchencounter.

Fitthesteamprotectionontothefrontpartoftheworktop,
usingthescrewsprovided.

CAUTION
Pleasetakecarewheninstallingthesafetyinlethose:
• Thedistancebetweenthebottomedgeofthesafetyvalve
andtheooronwhichthedishwasherisstandingmustbe
atleast300mm.
• Theelectricalcableforthesafetyvalveisinthedouble-
walledwaterinlethose.Do not immerse the water inlet
hose or the safety valve in water.
• Donotattempttoshortentheinlethose.
• Ifthewaterinlethoseorthesafetyvalveisdamaged,
immediatelyturnoffthepowerandremovethemainsplug.
• Awaterinlethosettedwithasafetyvalvemustonlybe
replacedbyaqualiedServiceEngineer.
• Ifyourdishwasheristtedwitha“safetyhose”youwill
needanopeningofatleast45mmx90mminyour
cupboardsinordertofeedthehosethroughit.

behindthedishwasher.
• Afterconnectinghosetothetap,turnthetaponand
checktoensurethattherearenoleaks.

Theinlethoseshouldbeinspectedevery12monthsfor
deteriorationandreplacedifnecessary.
• Cold water connection
 –Werecommendconnectiontoacoldwatersupply.
 –Waterpressuresbetween50kPaand800kPaare
acceptable.
 –Apressure-reducingvalvemustbettedifthecoldwater
supplyexceeds800kPa.(Referalsototheremarksinthe
sectionbelowconcerningwaterhammer.)
• Hot water connection
 Hotwaterconnectionisanoption,providingthesupply
conformstothefollowingconditions:
 –Themaximumpermissibletemperatureforthehotsupply
is60oC.Anyhighertemperaturemaycausedamage
towatercarryingcomponentsandcrockerylifemay
bereduced.
 –Ifyourdishwasherislikelytobeconnectedtoasolar
hotwatersystem,dripheater,(orsimilarsystem),
thetemperaturemust not exceed 60°C.Whereitis
anticipatedthatthetemperaturewillexceed60oC,
awatertemperaturetemperingvalveshouldbeinstalled
inthewaterservice.
 –Waterpressuresbetween50kPaand350kPaare
acceptable.Apressure-reducingvalvemustbetted
ifthehotwatersupplyexceeds350kPa.
• Water hammer
 Quickactionhouseholdtapsandfastactingwatervalves
onappliancescancausewaterhammer.Thiscanresultin
veryhighwaterpressures.Highpressurecancausefailure
ofthepressurereducingvalve(wheretted),orthewater
valveinyourdishwasher.
 Topreventwaterhammer,werecommendthetment
ofaNoiseReductionValveinthewatersupplyline.
Thesevalvesalsoactasapressurereducingvalvewith
theaddedbenetsof:
 –Reducingthechanceofabursthose
 –Reducingthewaternoisewhilstthedishwasherislling
withwater
 Pressurereducingvalves,watertemperaturetempering
valvesandnoisereductionvalvesareavailablefrommajor
plumbingsuppliers.DONOTconnectyourdishwasherto
theoutletofanunpressuriseddisplacementinstantaneous
waterheater,(forexampleapushthroughtypesinkheater)
asdamagetotheheatermayresult.
• Water inlet hose with safety valve
 Somemodelsaresuppliedwithaninlethosethathas
adouble-walledwaterhoseandasafetyvalveonthe
threadedhosettingnexttothetap.Thereforethewater
inlethoseisonlyunderpressurewhilethedishwasher
islling.Ifthewaterinlethosestartstoleakduringthis
operation,thesafetyvalve,controlledbythedishwasher,
cutsoffthewatersupplytopreventooding.


• Thedrainhosemustbefreeofkinksandobstructions.
• Thehighestpointofthehoseshouldnotbemorethan
1metrefromtheoorandshouldhaveacontinuousfall.
• Thedrainhosemaybelengthenedusingadditionallengths
andconnectors,whichcanbepurchasedfromElectrolux
SpareParts.The extension length must not exceed 2 metres.
Remove internal membrane from drain spigot
Whenconnectingthedrainhosetoanundersinktrapspigot,
the entire plastic membrane must be removed.
Failuretoremoveallthemembranewillresultinfoodparticles
buildingupovertimeeventuallyblockingthedishwasherdrain
hosespigot.

Ifyourdishwasherissuppliedwithakickplatepanel,youmay
needtoadjusttheheightofthekickplate,tocoverthegapat
thebottomfrontofthedishwasher.
Toadjusttheheight:
• Loosenthetwoscrewsthatsecurethekickplate
• Repositionthepanel
• Securethekickplatewiththetwoscrews

Onbuilt-underandfullstainlesssteeldoormodels,forbestcosmetic
appearance,werecommendedthatyoumanufactureacustom-
madekickpanelthatmatchesyourkitchencabinetry.
• Anotchedcontinuouspanelisrequiredtopreventdoorswing
interferenceandtomaintainkick-panelalignmentwith
adjacentcabinets.
• Cutanotchinthekick-paneldeepenoughtoallowthedoor
toswingfreelyunderthedishwasher.
• Checkforinterferencebyslowlyopeningandclosingthedoor.
Ifthedoortouchesthekick-panel,trimtopreventinterference.
• Securethekick-paneltoadjacentcabinetsinsuchamanner
thatitmayberemovedifserviceisrequired.

WARNING
• Safetystandardsrequiretheappliancetobeearthed.
• Priortousingtheapplianceforthersttime,ensurethatthe
ratedvoltageandtypeofsupplyontheratingplatematch
thatofthesupplywheretheapplianceistobeinstalled.
 Thefuseratingisalsotobefoundontheratingplate.
• Alwaysplugthemainsplugintoacorrectlyinstalled
approvedsocket.
• Multi-wayplugs,connectorsandextensioncablesmustnotbe
used.Thiscouldconstitutearehazardthroughoverheating.
• Ifnecessary,havethedomesticwiringsystemsocket
replaced.Iftheelectricalsupplycordhastobereplaced,
contactyourlocalCustomerCarecentre.
• Theplugmustbeaccessibleaftertheappliancehas
beeninstalled.
• Neverunplugtheappliancebypullingonthecable.
Alwayspulltheplug.
• Ensurethatthedishwasherhasbeentestedusingtherinse
&holdorquick30cycleandthatthedishwasherllswith
water,washesanddrainswithnoleaks.
Themanufactureracceptsnoliabilityforfailuretoobservethe
abovesafetyprecautions.
