IMPORTANT SAFETY INFORMATION
1
Read these instructions.
Keep these instructions.
Heed all warnings.
Follow all instructions.
This lightning flash with arrowhead symbol within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to
the presence of non-insulated "dangerous voltage" within the product’s enclosure that may be of sufficient
magnitude to constitute a risk of electric shock.
Warning: To reduce the risk of electric shock, do not remove cover (or back) as there are no user-serviceable
parts inside. Refer servicing to qualified personnel.
The exclamation point within an equilateral triangle is intended to alert the user to the presence of important
operating and maintenance instructions in the literature accompanying the appliance.
Do not use this apparatus near water.
Clean only with dry cloth.
Do not block any ventilation openings. Install in accordance with the manufacturer's instructions.
Do not install near any heat sources such as radiators, heaters, stoves, or other apparatus [including
amplifiers] that produce heat.
Do not defeat the safety purpose of the polarized or grounding-type plug. A polarized plug has two blades
with one wider than the other. A grounding plug has two blades and a third grounding prong. The wide
blade or the third prong is provided for your safety. If the provided plug does not fit into your outlet, consult
an electrician for replacement of the obsolete outlet.
Protect the power cord from being stepped on or pinched, particularly at the plugs, convenience receptacles,
and at the point where they exit from the apparatus.
Unplug this apparatus during lightning storms or when unused for long periods of time.
CAUTION: These servicing instructions are for use by qualified service personnel only. To reduce the risk
of electric shock, do not perform any servicing other than that contained in the operating instructions
unless you are qualified to do so.
Do not install electronic equipment in a confined or built-in space such as a bookcase or similar unit and
keep well ventilated in open space. The ventilation should not be impeded by covering the ventilation
openings with items such as newspaper, tablecloths, curtains etc.
WARNING: Only use attachments/accessories specified or provided by the manufacturer [such as the
exclusive supply adapter, battery etc).
WARNING: Please refer to the information on the exterior panel of the enclosure for electrical and safety
information before installing or operating the apparatus.
WARNING: No naked flame sources, such as lighted candles, should be placed on the apparatus.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not expose this product to rain or moisture. The
apparatus shall not be exposed to dripping or splashing and that objects filled with liquids, such as vases
shall not be placed on apparatus.
WARNING: For the terminals marked with symbol of " " may be of sufficient magnitude to constitute a risk
of electric shock. The external wiring connected to the terminals requires installation by an instructed
person or the used of ready-made leads or cords.
Protective earthing terminal. The apparatus should be connected to a mains socket outlet with a
protective earthing connection. The product is designed to use in moderate / tropical climates.
Electronic products :

ACCESSORIES – Only use accessories which are designed for professional use or recommended by the
manufacturer. If a cart, rack or tripod stand etc is used in conjunction with this product, care must be taken to
avoid tip-over or fall risk.
POWER ON WORKFLOW – To avoid damage to drivers and other equipment, it is advisa ble to establish
and follow a workflow for powering up and powering down a sound system. With all system components
connected, turn on source equipment (mixers, signal processors, recording and playback units, etc.) BEFORE
powering up amplifiers. Transient voltages from powering up source equipment can damage speakers if
amplifiers are already turned on. Make sure that amplifier volumes are set to their minimum settings and
power up any system amplifiers LAST. It is recommended that all system components be allowed to stabilize
for several seconds before any source signals are introduced or level setting adjustments are made.
Similarly, when shutting systems down, turn all amplifiers off first, before powering down any other system
components.
CABLING - Do not use shielded or microphone cables for connection betw een amplifiers and speakers.
Use only approved speaker cables with proper connectors. Do not defeat any grounding-type (Earthed)
plugs on electronic products.
CAUTION - Professional loudspeaker systems can generate very high sound pressure levels. Use care with
placement and operation to avoid exposure to excessive volume levels. Permanent hearing damage can
result when operated to extreme levels.
RIGGING - SUSPENDING - MOUNTING - Rigging suspending or mounting of speaker systems can expose
members of the public to serious health risks and even death.
UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES ATTEMPT TO RIG, SUSPEND OR OTHERWISE MOUNT LOUDSPEAKERS
UNLESS YOU ARE FULLY QUALIFIED AND CERTIFIED TO DO SO BY RELEVANT LOCAL, STATE AND
NATIONAL AUTHORITIES. ALL RELEVANT SAFETY REGULATIONS MUST BE FOLLOWED. IF YOU ARE
NOT PROPERLY QUALIFIED OR DO NOT KNOW OF PERTINENT REGULATIONS, CONSULT QUALIFIED
PERSONNEL FOR ADVICE.
Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel. Servicing is required when the apparatus has been damaged
in any way, such as power supply cord or plug is damaged, liquid has been spilled or objects have fallen
into the apparatus, the apparatus has been exposed to rain or moistu re, does not operate normally, or
has been dropped.
Correct disposal of this product. This marking indicates that this product should not be disposed
with other household wastes throughout the EU. To prevent possible harm to the environment
or human health from uncontrolled waste disposal, recycle it responsibly to promote the
sustainable reuse of material resources. To return your used device, please use the return and
collection systems or contact the retailer where the product was purchased. They can take this product

About the Diamond Studio Series
Diamond Studio monitors have been engineered to be accurate. Not to colour or to flatter the overall sound,
but to be honest, transparent and to reveal hidden detail.
The low frequency driver cone is made of woven fibreglass. This material is extremely rigid and lightweight
compared to alternative paper-based cones. Fibreglass cone material delivers superb low frequency dynamic
response and, importantly for studio monitoring, a very fast transient response.
Internally, there are 2 discrete amplifiers. This bi-amplification ensures that the amp stage is perfectly matched
with the dedicated High Frequency and Low Frequency driver.
With “HF Level” and “LF Level” rear panel controls, the Diamond Studio 5 and Diamond Studio 7 can be tailored
to personal taste too.
• 6.3 mm, XLR and RCA inputs
• 5.0” Custom fibreglass cone Wharfedale Pro LF driver
• Bi-amplified with two refined amplifiers
• Independent High and Low frequency level controls
• Honest, uncoloured sound
• 140 Watts Continuous
• 280 Watts Peak

Monitor positioning
The Diamond Studio monitors are a ‘bookshelf’ design and can be used on monitor stands or on a rigid bookshelf.
We suggest that they are positioned at least 200mm from the rear walls and 700mm from the side walls,
facing slightly inwards.
The bass extension will improve if they are positioned closer to the rear wall.
However, If the loudspeakers are placed too close to the walls, the bass will increase but may become boomy
and indistinct. If the loudspeakers are placed away from the walls, the inward angle may be increased by up to
40%, although this may restrict the width of the optimum listening position.
A useful rule of thumb is that the listener should be as far from the loudspeakers as they are from each other.
The speakers should ideally be positioned so that the treble units are roughly at ear level to the seated listener.
As personal taste plays a large role, experiment with different configurations and play a wide range of programme
material before finalising the position of your speakers.
