PREPARINGFORINSTALLATION
WARNING: thisisaheavy product;thehood should onlybeliftedand installed bytwoormore people.
Theminimumdistancebetweenthe support of thecookingpansontopof the cookerand the bottomofthehoodmustnot be lessthan50cm for electric cookers
and65cm for gasormixedcookers.Beforeinstallationalsocheck the minimumdistancesstatedinthemanualof the cooker.
Iftheinstallationinstructionsfor the cookerspecifya greaterdistancebetweencookerandhood,thisdistancemust be observed.
ELECTRICAL CONNECTION
Makesurethepowervoltagespecifiedontheapplianceratingplateisthesame as themainsvoltage.
Thisinformationmaybefoundon the insideofthehood,underthegreasefilter.
Powercablereplacement(typeH05VV-F3x 0,75 mm²)mustbecarriedout by a qualifiedelectrician.Contactan authorized service centre.
Ifthehood is fittedwithanelectric plug,connect theplugtoasocketcomplyingwithcurrentregulations,locatedinan accessible place after installation. If noplug
isfitted(directwiring to the mains),orifthesocketisnot locatedin an accessibleplace,installa standardiseddouble pole powerswitchthatwillenable complete
isolationfromthemainsin case ofcategoryIII overvoltage conditions,in accordancewithinstallationrules.
GENERALRECOMMENDATIONS
Beforeuse
Removecardboardprotectionpieces,protectivefilmandadhesivelabelsfromaccessories.Checktheapplianceforanytransportdamage.
During use

TROUBLESHOOTING GUIDE
Theappliancedoes not work:
• Checkforthe presenceof mains electricalpowerand ifthe appliance is connectedto the electricalsupply;
• Turnoff the applianceand restartit to see ifthe fault persists.
Thehood’s suctionlevelis notsufficient:
• Checkthesuctionspeed and adjustas necessary;
• Checkthatthefilters areclean;
• Checktheair ventsfor any obstructions.
Thelightdoes not work:
• Checkthelight bulb andreplaceifnecessary;
• Checkthatthelight bulb hasbeen correctly fitted.

CLEANING
WARNING: -Neverusesteamcleaning equipment.
-Disconnectthe appliance fromthe powersupply
IMPORTANT:donot usecorrosive or abrasivedetergents. Ifany ofthese products accidentallycomes intocontact with theappliance, clean
immediatelywitha dampcloth.
• Cleanthesurfaces with adamp cloth.If it isvery dirty, adda few dropsof washingup detergent tothe water. Finishoff witha dry cloth.
IMPORTANT:donot useabrasive sponges ormetallic scrapersor scourers.Over time, thesecan ruinthe enamel surface.
• Usedetergentsspecifically designed forcleaning theappliance and followthe manufacturer instructions.
IMPORTANT:cleanthe filtersat least monthlyto removeany oilor grease residuals.

MAINTENANCE

GREASEFILTERS
Themetalgrease filter hasan unlimitedlife and shouldbe cleaned oncea monthby hand orin a dishwasherat lowtemperature and
withashort cycle. Cleaningin adishwasher may causediscolouring of thegrease filter,but its filteringefficiency is unaffected.
Pulloutthe handle toremove thefilter.
Washthefilter and leaveit todry, proceeding inreverse order torefit it.
REPLACINGHALOGENLAMPS
Thehoodis equipped witha lightingsystem based onLED technology.
TheLEDsguarantee an optimumlighting, aduration up to10 times aslong asthe traditional lampsand allow tosave 90%electrical energy.
Forreplacement,contact the technicalservice.
ACTIVECARBONFILTER (filterhoods only):
Thecarbonfilter must becleaned oncea month ina dishwasher atthe highesttemperature, using anormal
dishwasherdetergent.It is advisableto cleanthe filter separately.
Aftercleaning,reactivate the carbonfilter bydrying it inthe oven at100°C for10 minutes.
Changethecarbon filter every3 years.
Fittingthecarbon filter:
1. Removethegrease filter.
2. Hookthecarbon filter firstlyto the metaltab at theback on thehood and thenfix it atthe front withthe two
knobs.
3. Refitthegrease filter.

INSTALLATION - PRELIMINARY ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Thehoodis designed forinstallation anduse in "Extractorversion" or in"Filter version".
Note: Themodelwith electric shuttercan onlybe used in"Extractor version" andthe exhaust pipemust beconnected to aperipheral extraction unit.
ExtractorVersion
Fumesareextracted and expelledto theoutside through anexhaust pipe (notsupplied) fixed tothe hoodexhaust pipe connector.
Dependingonthe exhaust pipepurchased, providefor suitable fixingto the exhaustpipe connector.
IMPORTANT:Ifalready installed,remove the carbonfilter/s.
FilterVersion
Airisfiltered through thecarbon filter/sand recycled intothe surrounding environment.
IMPORTANT:checkthat airrecirculation is facilitated.
Ifthehood doesnot have acarbon filter/s,order one/themand fit it/thembefore use.
Installthehood away fromvery dirtylocations, windows, doorsand sources ofheat.
Thehoodcomes supplied withall thematerials required forinstallation on mostwalls/ceilings. However, aqualified technicianis needed tomake surethat the
plugsaresuitable for yourceiling.

INSTALLATION - ASSEMBLY INSTRUCTIONS
Theinstructionsbelow, to becarried outin the orderin which theyare numbered,refer to thefigures (with thesame step numbers)given onthe last pagesof this
manual.
Note: Someinstructionsdiffer depending onthe productwidth or hoodbox height, inwhich case installationdifferences aregiven in thetext and inthe figures.
1. Markaline on thewall, upto the ceiling,corresponding to thecentre line.
2. Placethedrilling template againstthe wall(fix it withadhesive tape): thevertical centre lineon thetemplate must matchthe centre linedrawn onthe wall,
andthebottom edge ofthe drillingtemplate must matchthe bottom edgeof thehood.
Drillahole.
3. Removethedrilling template andinsert plugsand screws asindicated.
4. Tightenalittle
5. Placetheflue support bracketon thewall, against theceiling. Drill andinsert the wallplugs asindicated. Fix thebracket.
6. ExtractorVersiononly -rear exhaust: Makea hole inthe rearwall for theflue pipe.
7. ExtractorVersiononly -exhaust towards theceiling: Make ahole in theceiling forthe flue pipe.
8. Preparetheconnection to thehousehold electricalsystem.
9. FilterVersiononly: Fixthe deflector tothe flue supportbracket.
10. Removethegrease filter/s.
11. Removethetape fixing thecontrol electronicsbox to themotor body.
Note: Thedrawingis only aguide, andthe box maybe temporarily fixedto othersides of themotor body.
12. Hookthehood to thewall.
13. Adjustthehood horizontally.
14. Adjustthedistance between thehood andthe wall.
15. Markthehole/s for finalfixing ofthe hood asindicated.
16. Removethehood from thewall.
17. Drillandinsert the wallplugs asindicated.
18. Rehookthehood to thewall.
19. Securethehood to thewall withscrews as indicated.
20. Tightendownthe already partiallytightened screwsfixing the boxto the motorbody.
Note: Therearetwo types ofboxes, withfront or rearfixing. Follow theinstructions inthe figures (20aand20b) according toyour model.
21. Insertthepower cable inits specialplace.
22. Securethecable to thecable clamp.
IMPORTANT:Thisoperation iscompulsory. It willprevent accidentaldisconnection ofthe power cable.
Carryoutthe connection tothe householdelectrical system.
23. Connectthefume exhaust pipeto thecollar; the pipemust be runtowards theoutside (extractor version)or towards thedeflector (filterversion).
24. Fittheflues in placeover thehood, completely coveringthe extractor unit.
25. Removetheupper section andfix theflues with thescrews as indicated.
26. Fitthecarbon filter (FilterVersion only)and refit thegrease filter/s.

DESCRIPTION AND USE OF HOOD
Operation
The control panel consists of a backlit rotating disk.
•To put on and off the lights:
Press on the disk (T) to put on and off the lights
• To select the available suction speeds:
Turn the disk (T) clockwise to turn on and increase the suction speed
and counter-clockwise to decrease it, and to turn off the hood.
The crown (L) lights to indicate the selected suction speed:
• L1 lit
speed 1 (minimum).
• L1 + L2 lit
speed 2 (medium).
• L1 + L2 + L3 lit
Speed 3 (maximum).
• L1 + L2 + L3 + L4 lit in flashing mode
Speed 4 (intensive), lasting for 5 minutes, then the hood is
placed automatically at speed 2
• L off:
Suction motor off
Filters’ Saturation Control
The hood is equipped with a device that indicates when it is
required to perform the filter maintenance
The saturation control device of the grease filter is always active
The control device of the activated carbon filter is usually turned
off To activate it, proceed as follows:
- Turn off the hood.
- Press the disk (T) for more than 5 seconds
The crown (L) lights completely, flashing, and a beep will be heard:
the control device of the charcoal filter is activated. NB = to turn it
off, turn off the hood, press the disk (T), L1 + L2 will be backlit,
flashing; wait for the beep to confirm the deactivation.
Grease filter saturation indicator
L1 + L2 flash when you have to perform maintenance of the
grease filter
Activated charcoal filter saturation indicator
L3 + L4 flash when you have to perform maintenance of the
activated charcoal filter
Reset of filter saturation signal
After filter maintenance, t urn on the hood and press the disk (T) for
more than 5 seconds: you will hear a long tone (beep) confirming
the reset.
Note : In case of simultaneous signaling (grease filter and activated
charcoal filter saturation), you must repeat the reset twice.
Use the high suction speed in cases of concentrated kitchen vapours.
It is recommended that the cooker hood suction is switched on for 5
minutes prior to cooking and to leave in operation during cooking and
for another 15 minutes approximately after terminating cooking.
