ATTACH DECK TO UPRIGHT POSTS
With the foundation holes created using sheet HILLA-SPEC, the upright posts can be supported in the
foundation holes to aid attaching the deck. Each deck is supplied pre-assembled with 4 drilled holes
to accomodate the upright posts. Due to weather or timber conditions, the hole may be need to be
eased to allow the upright post to pass through. Also to ease with this part of the installation, remove
the two planks either side of the upright and re-attach once the deck is secured in place.
All upright posts are pre-drilled with a double counterbore hole which will position the deck at the correct
height. With the deck in place over the upright posts, secure using the supplied M12 X 200 Coach Bolt,
Washer & Nyloc.
Use sheet labelled HILLA-SPEC to create the foundation holes

ATTACH SLIDE UNIT
Ensure the deck is secured at the height shown at the bottom of this page. Using the supplied Slide
Timber Set, secure to the upright posts as illustrated in Detail View 2 using the supplied Coach Screws.
NOTE: Ensure the flat section at the end of the timber is in the correct position to accomodate the slide
and secure from the underside of the deck to the vertical slide timbers.

Attach the slide leg fixings to the underside of the slide using the supplied Hex Head
Bolts. Feed the stem through the timber post and secure.

SECURE ROPE RAMP TO DECK
The ramp climber is supplied pre-assembled. To make this task easier remove the top two planks by unscrewing the fixings
and re-attaching when the unit is secured to the deck. Secure the L-Shaped ground lugs to the bottom of the ramp using
the supplied fixings. Attach post item 'T' to the top of the upright posts using the pre-drilled counterbore holes.
Before connecting the climber to the deck, loosely attach the rope to post item 'T' and to the third plank from the bottom
on the climber. Secure the climber to the deck using the supplied brackets with fixings. Then re-connect the top two planks

CONNECT ADJOINING WALL CLIMBER
As illustrated below, use the supplied Coach Screws secure the timber planks to both the previously assembled decks. Due to timber and post conditions the dimensions
given below should be taken as approximate. The climbing wall will have no entrapments so as to conform to BS EN1176

ATTACH FIREMANS POLE
Ensure the deck is secured at the height shown below. Secure the posts
from the Firemans Pole Timber Set to the upright deck posts. The machine
round labelled FRTB01307-C is manufactured with a sawn groove to
accomodate the infill timber. Ensure the infill timber is secured in place to
the deck upright post and the side upright post with no entrapments.

ATTACH SCRAMBLE NET
Secure the horizontal post from the Hillary Timber Set labelled 'U' to the two upright posts using the supplied Coach bolt. The vertical posts have double counterbore holes
manufactured at the correct reference height as indicated below. With the post secure, attach the net to the post using the supplied fixings as illustrated. Finally secure the
Net Climber to the ground anchor. NOTE: Before adding concrete to the Net Climber foundation, ensure the unit is appropriately tensioned. This can be done
by removing chain links and re-attaching to the ground anchor.

ATTACH BRIDGE TO PLATFORMS
With both deck platforms constructed as detailed on the previous page, set up the bridge assembly to fit between the posts. As illustrated in Detail View 3, secure the
bridge to the deck using the supplied brackets and fixings. The outer brackets are secured to the bridge using the supplied Coach Bolts and to the deck using the
supplied Coach Screws.

Finally, attach the bridge ropes to the upright posts using the supplied fixings as shown in Detail View 4. The uprights are supplied with pre-drilled double counterbore holes
at the correct reference dimensions as shown below.

CREATE THE SINGLE TRAPEZE SWING
Secure the top beam from the Hillary Timber Set labelled 'I' to the deck upright post and upright post 'H'.
As detailed, secure this top beam using the supplied Coach Screw with Washer. With the posts in place
secure the Trapeze Ropes to the top beam using a Nyloc and Washer.

CREATE THE DECK CLIMBING WALL
With post labelled 'R' in the foundation hole secure the sawn timber to the upright posts as illustrated.
NOTE: Ensure the timber is spaced avoiding any entrapments (35-80mm) or min (235mm) as
illustrated below.

ATTACH THE CLIMBING WALL & NET WALL
Secure the top beam from the Hillary Timber Set labelled 'I' to the deck upright post and upright post 'H'.
Using the same method as page 6, secure this top beam using the supplied Coach Screw with Washer.
Secure the Net Climber to the deck upright post and to the post labelled 'H' making use of the pre-
drilled counterbore holes.

The timber climbing wall is attached to the posts using the supplied Washer Head Screws with the timber planks
laid consecutively. With the planks secured, the climbing holds can be attached in an even layout on the wall
using the supplied M5 x 60 Screws.

ATTACH CENTRAL PLATFORM
As with the main decks the central platform is supplied pre-assembled with 2 x
n
150 holes to accomodate the upright posts. To aid in the installation, remove the decking
planks and the side fascia as illustrated. Using the supplied screws, attach the unit to the upright posts using the reference dimensions then re-attach the decking planks
and side fascia. NOTE: Before concreting the upright posts into position, ensure counterbore holes for Parallel Rope are aimed in the correct direction.

ATTACH PARALLEL ROPES
With all the decks constructed positioned as per the layout sheet HILLA-SPEC, the final Parallel Ropes can be secured to the unit. As illustrated below the unit consists of 4 x
longer ropes 'B' and 2 x shorter ropes 'C'. Attach these ropes using the supplied Washers and Nyloc Nuts through the pre-drilled double counterbore hole.

ATTACH THE BARRIERS
Use the front sheet identify which units have the supplied timber barriers and their approximate position. As detailed below the height from the deck to the top of the barrier
should be between 600mm & 850mm. NOTE: Ensure there are no entrapments either around or near other barriers or items they sit up against. The
600mm > 850mm height will give enough room to manoeuvre the barriers to avoid entrapments.
As detailed use the supplied Coach Screws with Caps to secure the barriers to the upright posts.

FINAL INSTALLATION DETAILS
1. Add concrete around posts ensuring all ropes are appropriately tensioned. The top of the concrete should be 100mm below the finished surface level.
2. Leave the concrete to set for 48 hours.
3. Sand and rough edges or surfaces and treat with preservative if necessary.
4. Check and tighten all fixings and install protective caps once checked.
5. This unit must be maintained inaccordance with our inspection and maintenance schedule and BS1176 part 7.
6. Ensure all company ID badges are secured to the unit

ATTACH THE GUARD RAILING
The deck with the Trapeze Swing also features a guard railing. Using the same post as the bridge net (parallel to the Trapeze post) attach and secure the Hillary Guard Rail
to the post using the supplied M10 X 120 Coach Screws to the height as illustrated below.
