1. General Description
This manual is intended to assist you for safe and reliable use. The product is designed
and manufactured strictly according to technical specifications using the latest
technology and components and maintaining the highest quality standards.

To ensure long and reliable operation of the device, make sure to operate and maintain
it properly in accordance with the guidelines in this instruction manual. The technical

2. Safety of use
CAUTION!
Read all safety warnings and instructions. Failure to follow the
warnings and instructions may result in electric shock, fire
and/or serious injury or death.
The term "device" or "product" in the warnings and in the description of the instructions
refers to CHICKEN DOOR OPENER.
2.1. Electrical safety
a) The plug of this device must fit into the outlet. Do not modify the plug in any
way. Original plugs and matching outlets reduce the risk of electric shock.
b) Avoid touching grounded parts, such as pipes, heaters, ovens, and
refrigerators. There is an increased risk of electric shock if your body is
grounded and touches the device while exposed to direct rain, wet pavement,
or while working in a damp environment. If water enters the device, there is
an increased risk of damage to the unit and electric shock.
c) Do not touch the device with wet or damp hands.
d) Do not use the cord in an unintended manner. Never use it to carry the device
or to pull the plug out of the socket. Keep the cord away from heat sources,
oil, sharp edges or moving parts. Damaged or tangled cords increase the risk
of electric shock.

e) When working outdoors, use an extension cord appropriate for outdoor use.
Using an extension cord designed for outdoor use reduces the risk of electric
shock.
f) If you cannot avoid using the product in a wet environment, use a residual
current device (RCD) to connect the product to electrical mains. Using an RCD
reduces the risk of electric shock.
g) Do not use the appliance if the power cord is damaged or shows signs of wear.
A damaged power cord should be replaced by a qualified electrician or the
manufacturer's service department.
h) To avoid electric shock, do not immerse the cable, plug, or the appliance itself
in water or other liquid. Do not use the appliance on wet surfaces.
i) CAUTION – DANGER TO LIFE! When cleaning or using the appliance, never
immerse it in water or other liquids.
j) Do not use the appliance in rooms with very high humidity / in the immediate
vicinity of water tanks!
2.2. Safety in the workplace
a) If you have any doubts as to whether the product is working properly or if it is
damaged, contact the manufacturer's service department.
b) Only the manufacturer's service department may repair the appliance. Do not
attempt to repair the product on your own!
c) Keep this manual for future reference. If the unit is to be passed on to third
parties, the operating instructions must also be handed over together with the
unit.
d) Keep packaging components and small installation parts out of the reach of
children.
2.3. Personal safety
a) The product is not intended to be used by individuals (including children) with
reduced mental, sensory or intellectual capacity or lack of experience and/or
knowledge, unless they are supervised by an individual responsible for their
safety or have been given instructions by the responsible individual on how to
operate the product.
b) The appliance is not a toy. Children should be watched to ensure that they do
not play with the appliance.
2.4. Safe use of the device

a) Repairs and maintenance should be carried out by qualified personnel using
only original spare parts. This will ensure the safety of use.
b) To ensure the designed operational integrity of the device, do not remove
factory-installed covers or loosen screws.
c) Avoid situations where the unit stops working because it is handling a heavy
load. This can cause overheating of the drive elements and consequent
damage to the equipment.
d) Do not touch any moving parts or accessories unless the device is unplugged.
e) Clean the device regularly to prevent permanent dirt build-up.
f) The product is not a toy. Cleaning and maintenance must not be performed by
children without adult supervision.
g) Do not tamper with the device to alter its performance or design.
h) Keep the unit away from sources of fire and heat.
i) Do not immerse the unit in water or other liquids.
j) Be careful when lowering the door. Despite the low power of the unit's motor,
it is recommended to avoid contact with the moving door.
CAUTION! Although the product has been designed to be safe, with adequate
safeguards, and despite the additional safety features provided to the user,
there is still a slight risk of accident or injury when handling the unit. Caution
and common sense are advised when using the product.
3. Instructions for use
The product is intended to be used as an automatically opening and closing door
to a poultry house.
The user is responsible for any damage resulting from misuse.

3.2. Preparation for operation
Set contents

Note: a screwdriver (not included) is a tool for assemblying the unit.
Place of installation:
•The door, guide, actuator and controller should be mounted on the inside
wall of the hen house, and the light sensor should be led outside through a
suitable hole.
•The ambient temperature should not fall below -18°C.
Assembly
1) Cut an entrance of 22x32 cm (width x height) in the wall of the poultry house.
Leave a 2.5 cm gap between the floor and the opening.
2) Install the guides on both sides of the door opening (during installation, it is
recommended to slide the door into the guides for a moment to make sure
that the distance between the guides is adequate). The screw holes should
be on the outer edges of the guides. The guides should protrude below the
door opening.
3) Install the screw [D] in the hole in the door. Tighten securely with the flange
nut [C]. Slide the door into the guides with the screw thread facing away
from the wall.

4) Insert the wood screw [E] into the hole in the larger end of the actuator, then
place the long spacer [F] on the screw between the cylinder and the house
wall. Drive the screw into the wall of the poultry house 72.5 cm from the
bottom of the aluminum door of the poultry house. When the actuator is
extended, the bottom of the door will be 72.5 cm from the top mounting
bolt. The door should protrude about 1 cm below the bottom edge of the
entrance while maintaining a distance of about 1.5 cm from the floor.
5) Slide the door up and place the short spacer [B] on the screw [D] in the door,
then slide the lower end of the actuator over the screw [D] and secure the
connection with the locking nut [A].

6) Screw the 4 plates [H] to the back of the controller with the screws [I]. Then,
using the installed plates, mount the controller to the inside wall of the
poultry house using the screws [J].

7) To install the light sensor, drill a hole with a diameter of 14 mm in the wall of
the poultry house. The best place to mount will be on the wall facing the
most sunlit side. Insert the sensor plug through the hole in the plate [G] and
move the rest of the cable, then slide the plastic nut over the cable and screw
it on the sensor's rear housing so as to fix it on the plate.
8) Insert the plug through the opening in the wall with the sensor pointing
outwards. Pull the entire cable through and fasten the sensor board to the
wall with the screws [E].

9) Connect the actuator and the light sensor, then the power cord to the
controller.

3.3. Working with the device
CAUTION: During the first few days of using the device, the hens should be
supervised and familiarised with the operation of the device. The device's
sensor may not be able to detect their necks, which could lead to injury. It is
not recommended to use the device near young chickens.
Driver settings
1) Initial screen
Press and hold the "FUN" button for a few seconds to wake up the
screen which will show the current time. Press "FUN" again to go to
further settings.
2) Opening parameters
The message means that the next screen will allow you to select the
opening time or the level of lighting that will trigger the opening.
Pressing the “FUN” button will take you to the next screen with settings.
3) Opening time

Only needed in the time-dependent door opener mode.
To change the opening time, press the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons. Press
the "FUN" button to toggle between setting the hours and minutes.
Pressing the "FUN" button again takes you to the next setting screen.
4) Light level triggering the door to open
To change the light level that opens the door, press the "UP" or "DOWN"
buttons (a value of 12-16 is a good level to start with). Higher levels open
the door later, when the lighting is stronger. Pressing the "FUN" button
again takes you to the next setting screen.
5) Closing parameters
The message indicates that the next screen will allow you to select the
shutdown time or the lighting level that will close the door. Pressing the
“FUN” button will take you to the next screen with settings.

6) Closing time
Only needed in the time-dependent door closing mode. To change the
closing time, press the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons. Press the "FUN" button
to toggle between setting the hours and minutes. Pressing the "FUN"
button again takes you to the next setting screen.
7) Light level triggering the door to close
To change the light level that triggers the closing, press the "UP" or
"DOWN" buttons (a value of 8-10 is a good level to start with). The upper
values close the door sooner. Pressing the "FUN" button again takes you
to the next setting screen.
8) Mode of operation

The message means that the next screen will allow you to select the
operating mode of the controller. Pressing the "FUN" button again takes
you to the next setting screen.
9) Mode adjustment
Press the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons to select the operating mode:
•"0" - Opening and closing depending on the clock.
•"1" - Opening depending on the clock, closing depending on the
light.
•"2" - Opening depending on the light, closing depending on the
clock.
•"3" - Opening and closing depending on the light.
When using the time-dependent operation mode (24-hour format):
- the opening time must be before 12:00
- the closing time must be after 12:01
10) The current level of lighting
The screen displays the current ambient light level. The brighter the
surroundings, the higher the displayed value. This option is helpful when
adjusting the light level that triggers the opening and closing of the door.

11) Protection against crushing
This option allows you to set the security level. A lower value means that
less force is required to stop the door from moving downward. The
recommended value at the beginning is 0. When the door stops, it will
move back and wait 10 seconds. Make sure that there are no
obstructions in the path of the door, the guides are installed evenly and
the surface provides sufficient sliding (use lubricant if necessary). After a
time try out a higher degree of protection.
12) Current time
The message means that the next screen will allow you to select the
current time (in 24-hour format). Pressing the “FUN” button will take you
to the next screen with settings.
To change the current time, press the "UP" or "DOWN" buttons. Press
the "FUN" button to toggle between setting the hours and minutes.

13) Saving the settings

When the message "done" is displayed, pressing the "FUN" button again
will save the settings and return you to the initial screen.
Manually closing/opening the door
•Press and hold the "DOWN" button - the door will close temporarily (it will
open after a few minutes).
•Press and hold the "UP" button - the door will open temporarily (it will close
after a few minutes).
3.4. Cleaning and maintenance
a) Pull the mains plug and let the unit cool down completely before cleaning,
adjusting or replacing accessories and when the unit is not in use.
b) Use only non-corrosive cleaning agents for cleaning the surfaces.
c) After each cleaning, all the parts should be dried well before the unit is used
again.
d) Store the unit in a dry and cool place protected from moisture and direct
sunlight.
e) Do not spray the unit with a stream of water or immerse it in water.
f) Use a soft cloth for cleaning.
g) Do not leave the batteries in the unit when it will not be used for a long time.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE SAFE DISPOSAL OF BATTERIES.
The appliances are equipped with batteries.
Remove used batteries from the unit in the same way you put them in.
Return the batteries to a unit responsible for their disposal.
DISPOSAL OF USED UNITS.
At the end of its useful life, this product should not be disposed of with normal
household waste but should be taken to a collection point for the recycling of
