1. Stimulate your nipple so it’s erect.
2. Hold a dime, nickel and quarter in front of your nipples to compare
the diameter of the base of your nipples (not the areola) to each coin.
3. Determine your ange size using the chart below.

your bra matters
The bra you wear while pumping with Willow needs to keep the Pump pressed rmly
and securely against your breast. Use a full-coverage nursing bra with a ap.

Here are the four steps you will need to complete before your rst pumping session.
1. Boil Flange and Flextube™for 10 minutes and let air dry
2. Wake up Willow by plugging the Pump into the Charger and
waiting until the Pump lights up
3. Download & Pair the App
• Download the “Willow” App from your smartphone’s App Store
• Follow pairing instructions in the App
• Your phone needs to be charged with Bluetooth on
4. Watch the videos (nd them online or in the App)

get ready to align
To align Willow, you’ll need to rst determine your nipple direction. No two nipples are alike.
Pay close attention to the direction your nipples point (straight, up, down, to the side).
Remember your nipple direction? Bring the Flange to your breast from
the same direction, centering your nipple in the Flange Tunnel.

Aligning Willow correctly is so important. Look down and to the sides to
make sure your nipple’s centered!

check your alignment
When you’ve aligned correctly, the tip of your nipple should NOT touch the
top, sides, or bottom of the Flange Tunnel. If it does, try again.

While pumping you are going to hear several dierent sounds that indicate which phase you are in.
The Pump transitions from Stimulation to Expression
when the Flextube™ and Flange are full of milk.
INITIATE LATCH
Louder, slower sounds
The Pump is latching.
Remember to hold
Willow securely
against your breast.
STIMULATION
Short, quick sounds
You will experience
let-down and milk will
start to ow. Look at the
App to see your progress.
EXPRESSION
Slow, quiet sounds
Many women transition within 5-7
minutes, but this can vary. Suction
level starts at 1, but you can adjust to
your desired level. Note: you cannot
go back to Stimulation phase.

Use the Willow App to keep tabs on your progress.
Greater than 0 oz means
milk is flowing and
you have a good latch
(this should happen with
5-7 minutes).
If you do not transition to Expression after 5-7 minutes, you may need to realign.

After you break latch, you will notice there is still milk in the Flange Tunnel.
To empty this into the Milk Bag, you are going to ip Willow upside down.
Keep in mind, it is completely normal for a few drops to be left in the Flextube.

ROTATE

faces you TILT
until Pump
starts to gulp
HOLD until milk
completely disappears and
you hear one loud slurp
(typically 3 to 4 gulps
at this point)
FLIP all the way over
and wait until gulps
stop (after a total of
8 gulps)

TIP: If more than a few drops of milk remain
in the Flextube™ after Flip to Finish,
press Play and do it again.

Willow will talk to you via its lights. Here’s what they mean.
White Pulsing:
Willow pauses after 25 minutes
of continuous pumping. Press
Pump/Pause button to continue
White Solid:
Your Milk Bag is full. Add a new
bag and then press Pump/Pause
to continue pumping
Green Solid
Enough charge for 2+ sessions
Orange Solid
Enough charge for 1session
Red Solid
Low battery - inadequately
charged for session
Color of light indicates battery status.
On/Off Blinks Orange:
Check connections from Milk
Bag to Flextube,
™Flextube™to
Flange, and Flange to Pump
Pump/Pause Pulses White
and On/Off Blinks Orange:
Realign Willow and hold it
