The BZ-1 Buzzer is intended for use with the Winland VehicleAlert and other Winland
products (see products below). Up to 5 buzzers may be connected in parallel to
provide remote annunciation throughout a home or business.
The BZ-1 is provided with a UAL connector packet. The UAL connector allows you
to splice up to 3 wires in each connector. To use the connectors, follow these simple
steps:
1. DO NOT STRIP INSULATION
2. Hold the connector button side down. Insert wires 18-22 AWG into the ports of the
connector. Be sure the wires are inserted all the way into the end of the connector
past the center of the button.
3. Crimp the button down using pliers until it is completely seated into the body of the
connector.
When connecting to Winland products, follow the product instruction manual and use
the following color code:
Red = Positive ( + ) White / Red = Negative ( - )
VehicleAlert Connections - To install the BZ-1 Buzzer to the VehicleAlert
“Console” first remove power from the console by unplugging the Transformer. Using a
wire cutter, cut the “red” lead from the console connector (Not the “Sensor Probe” lead).
Insert the two ends of the “Console” lead into two of the ports of the UAL connector.
Then insert the “Red” lead from the “Buzzer” into the UAL connector. Make certain
that the wires are inserted all the way into the end of the connector past the center of
the button. Crimp the connector (use the crimping notes shown above).
Next connect the “White/Red” lead from the remote “Buzzer” to the “White/
Red” lead from the “Console” using a UAL connector. Crimp the connector.
Using a wire cutter, cut the “Black” lead from the console connector (Not the
“Sensor Probe” lead). Insert the two ends of the console lead into two ports of the
UAL connector. Then insert the “Grey” lead from the console into the UAL connector.
Crimp the connector.
BZ-1 MAY BE CONNECTED TO MANY WINLAND PRODUCTS:

connector center.
