Getting Started:
Step 1: Remove all basic components from the box: 1) Power Supply Box 2) Wall Socket Power Cord
Step 2: Connect the Power Plug into the back of the Cyclone 360 Power Supply Power Plug Jack. Make sure your Power
Supply is turned “OFF” before plugging it into the AC Wall Outlet.
Note: When unplugging it always unplug the “Socket Power Plug” from the Wall Outlet before you disconnect it from the
Cyclone 360 Power Supply.
Equipment Set Up:
Step 1: Insert the ¼” Phono Plug of the Clip Cord into the Clip Cord Jack.
Step 2: Insert the ¼” Phono Plug of the Foot Pedal into the Foot Pedal Jack.
Step 3: Connect your Clip Cord to your Tattoo Machine.
Step 4: Turn the Cyclone 360 on by pressing the power switch on the front of the unit to the “ON” position. The LCD
Display will light up.
Step 5: Adjust the voltage to it lowest setting by rotating it counter clockwise.
Step 6: Press down on the Foot Pedal. Status Light will be on/lit as long as the power unit is working properly and sending
power to the tattoo machine.
Step 7: Adjust voltage to the desired setting. Power will be sent to the machine when foot switch is depressed, and will
stop when foot pedal is released.
LCD Display Info & Details:
Speed-This part of the display measures the “MACHINE SPEED” in Hertz or cycles per second. A complete cycle would be
when the armature bar swings down to hit the Coils. To increase the machines speed you can adjust the contact Screw down giving it a
shorter but faster swing. Another way to change speed would be to get a Thicker or Thinner front spring. Having a Thicker Spring will
give you a faster speed, while having a thinner will decrease your speed.
Follow Through-This displays the amount of skipping that occurs when your machine is swinging up and down. When the
machine is off the contact screw and front spring are touching. Once power is applied to your machine the coils are magnetically charged,
Thus forcing the armature bar to swing down. The swing down motion then breaks the connection with the contact screw and front
spring. The back spring then forces the armature bar to return back to its original position. If there is any skipping the CYCLONE 360
will display the number of times the skipping occurs. You want to get it as close to ZERO as possible to guarantee a clean follow
through. Many factors that may cause this problem would be contact screw angle and gap. Any minor adjustments can alter your follow
through.
Duty Cycle-This displays the relationship between the contact opening time and contact closing time per swing. The Cyclone
360 can tell you the contact closed time per swing. If the contact point is closed 60% and opened 40% per swing, the LCD will show the
closed time of 60%. This helps explain the force of the back spring in relation to the hardness of the front spring. If the back spring is
putting a lot of force on the front spring, then you will get a higher Duty per swing.
Voltage-The Cyclone 360 will show you voltage up to two decimal places. All machines run at different voltages. The
Cyclone 360 can fine tune ALL your machine to the PERFECT voltage. Many factors can change your voltage requirements: Spring
Force, Swing Gap, Coil Size, Machine Parts, and more. Different machine require different voltages but ALL machine just require ONE
power supply The CYCLONE 360!!!
