Chapter 1 Introduction
1.1 Attention
This Operation manual contains necessary and sufficient information to operate the dental unit,
like optimal usage, safe and reliable operation, regular and correct servicing requirements.
Read and understand all instructions in this manual before attempting to use the product.
Keep this manual with the unit all times. Periodically review the procedures for operation and
safety precautions.
1.2 Usage Indications
The chair-mounted dental unit is intended to properly position a patient to perform dental procedures. A
dental operative unit is attached to supply power to and serve as a base for other dental devices, such as
a dental handpiece, a dental operating light, an air or water syringe unit, and oral cavity evacuator, a
suction unit, and other dental devices and accessories.
This dental unit can be used for dental clinic, laboratory, hospital and so on, by doctors and
professionals for diagnosing, operating, examining.
1.3 Contraindication
There is no any contraindication of this equipment.

2.2 General Safety Recommendations
The user is responsible for proper operation and maintenance of the unit in accordance with
the instructions listed in this manual.
2.2.1 Dental Chair
The cushion do not less than 520mm and higher than 680mm;
Dental chair backrest angle swing should higher than 50 °;
Dental chair should keep stable lifting without noise and jamming phenomenon when no
load;
The foot switch could control the dental chair position;
The decoration materials and filler materials should follow the requirements of 5.1.5
YY/T0058-2004;
The headrest should follow the requirements of 5.2.1.1 YY/T0058-2004;
The armrest should follow the requirements of 5.2.2 YY/T0058-2004;
Carrying capacity should follow the requirements of 5.2.3 YY/T0058-2004;
The pressure of explosion should follow the requirements of 5.2.4 YY/T0058-2004;
The additional load under the emergency should follow the requirements of 5.2.7
YY/T0058-2004;
The integrated design should follow the requirements of 5.1.1~5.1.4. YY/T0058-2004.

2.2.2 Delivery Tray
Keep stable anytime, the at each position, the gradient should not more than 3°;
Lift freely when more than 1000mm and keep stay any position;
The maximum to bear on delivery tray is 2kg.
2.2.3 Water supply for gargle device should be stable without splashing;
2.3.4 Saliva Ejector
The saliva ejector have strong gear and weak gear;
Low saliva ejector: when the water pressure is 200kPa, the vacuum should higher than
27kPa, the pumping rate should higher than 400ml/min;
High saliva ejector: when the water pressure is 400kPa, the vacuum should higher than
10kPa, the pumping rate should higher than 1000ml/min.
2.3.5 Spittoon
Made with health, firm and corrosion resisting material, washable and disinfection;
The filter inside the spittoon should retain the residue which the diameter is more than
2mm;
When the pressure is 200kPa, the dirty on the cuspidor should be washed clean.
2.3.6 3-way Syringe
Well sealing performance, open and close flexibly, injection evenly, adjustable direction;
When respectively press button, should be clear the gas or water; spray fog flow when
press both buttons at same time.
2.2.7 Operation Light
Operation light should follow the requirements of 4.1 YY1120-1999;
Operation light should follow the requirements of 4.2 YY1120-1999;
Operation light should follow the requirements of 4.3 YY1120-1999;
Operation light should follow the requirements of 4.4 YY1120-1999;

2.2.8 The x-ray viewer is milky white, brightness should be higher than 4000Lx;

2.2.9 Foot Switch
Turn on the foot switch when the air source condition is 4.1f, the air pressure should
stable and follow the requirements of the working pressure for any handpiece.
2.2.10 Doctor Stool
Doctor stool should move freely when the load is more than 1350N;
Doctor stool could support more than 180N;
The range of height adjustment should more than 130mm;
The doctor stool should drop less than 10mm after loading 135kg(after initial settlement);
The cover materials and filler materials of doctor stool should follow the requirements of
4.2.1.5.
2.2.11 Air supply switch for water bottle should be with well performance;
2.2.12 The air and water system should be with well performance, and all values
should be operated easily;
2.2.13 The dental unit should be with well sealing, no leakage;
2.2.14 The working noise should be less than 70dB (except the air compressor);~
2.2.15 The pressure system should be safe and reliable, without leakage and
explosion when in the normal condition;
2.2.16 The parts which may generate pressure in the fire accident, should be
equipped with pressure release devises;
2.2.17 Additional load in the emergency measure
The dental unit should be afforded additional 40kg in 1min, which should be interval 1sec;
keep the dental unit stay when in the testing, no damage obviously after testing.
2.2.18 The speed of high speed handpiece should be more than 260×

2.2.25 Appearance and Structure
The appearance should be smooth and even without obvious concave-convex, bump,
scratch and burr;
The switches and buttons should flexible and stable without loose;
Paint parts should follow the requirements of Part 2 of Appearance YY/T91055-1999;
Electroplating parts should follow the requirements of Class 2 of YY0076-92 IV;
The cushion parts should be smooth, uniform color without crack.
2.2.26 The dental unit should follow the safety requirements on Appendix A;
2.2.27 Environmental Tests
The dental unit should follow the environment requirements of Group II climate
environment and Group II mechanical environment, GB/T14710-93;
The transportation test should follow the requirements of Chapter 3, GB/T147710-93;
The power supply voltage adaptability test should follow the requirements of Chapter 4,
GB/T147710-93.
2.2.28 All cable and pipeline should be protected from friction and stretch;
2.2.29 The control device should be equipped separately;
2.2.30 Any exposed parts should be cleaned and disinfected easily without any
damage on the surface and symbol.

4.4 Installation Environment
The machine should be set in a place as followed:

The humidity of environment: ≤85%.
Atmosphere pressure: 860Hpa1060Hpa.
An earth connection is essential.
4.5 Before Setting
Please ensure the place which has a separate and stable power source supply.
Please ensure the place which has the sewage draining tube to connect.
Please ensure the place which has the air source supply.
Please ensure the palace which has the water source supply.
4.6 Power Connection
The dental unit should be connected with a stable and separate power source.
Power socket is at the back of the dental unit.
Please confirm the connection power is complied with specification of nameplate at the
back of dental unit.
