HAZARD AND SAFETY
INFORMATION
CAUTION: The X GLOO XG
series and the XC3 have been
developed to serve as mobile
and modular lightweight tents.
Despite their low weight and
thereby comparatively low
potential for risk, the following
information must be read in full
prior to putting these products
to use, and strictly followed in
order to prevent damage to
property and injury to yourself
or to others!
SET UP
CAUTION: Do not exceed
the specified maximum air
pressure (operating pressure
can be found on page 4).
The Event Tent is equipped with
overpressure valves to prevent the
Tubes from blowing out. Should an
overpressure valve fail, massive over-
pressurization of the Tube would
cause it to burst and could cause
the tent to suddenly collapse and
endanger people.
CAUTION: Therefore check
the overpressure valves regu-
larly (see page 11)!
• If small folds form on the Tubes
when inflating it is helpful, especi-
ally with the larger tents, to shake
the Tube during the inflation pro-
cess. This will help keep the infla-
table bladder inside the Tube in
the correct position, assuring pre-
per and complete inflation and
stability.
• When using the Event Tent in san-
dy locations, it is especially im-
portant to make sure that sand
does not enter the pump or the
Tubes through the open valves, as
this could result in damage to the
bladders and pressure loss.
CAUTION: The Event Tent
is not intended for use in winds
exceeding 60 km/h (XG 4, XG
5 and XG 6) / 40 km/h (XC 3
and XG 8). The first sign of an
excessive wind load is when the
Roof begins to compress.
If high winds or wind gusts are
expected, the Event Tent MUST
be properly secured and an-
chored by the user. Therefore,
pay particular attention to the
following points:
1 ) The appropriate anchors/ballasts
must be used, based on the na-
ture of the terrain:
- In firm, well-compated soil, the
X GLOO Anchoring Set appro-
priate to the tent size can be
used (see page 16).
- In place of tent stakes, the
X GLOO Snow Anchors may be
used in snow and the X GLOO
Sand Anchors in sand.

Tel: +49(0) 8641 6948 - 60 | xgloo.com | info@xgloo.com 7
- On tarmac or similarly-hard
ground surfaces the tents must
be suciently ballasted (see
X GLOO wind certificate).
2) Additionally, you must use an-
choring lines/webbing attached
to the shoulder loops (found on
the outside of each Tube) to se-
cure the Event Tent!
• In windy conditions, be sure to set
up the tent at such an orientation to
the wind so that it oers the least
resistance. In particular, Canopies
and openings which are closed with
Walls should not be aligned against
stronger winds. Wind loads can be
significantly reduced by detatching
the Walls and Canopies.
CAUTION: In the case of
wind, the zippers on any Walls
or other optional Components
connected to the Tent must
always be pulled completely
closed, otherwise the zipper
can be damaged by exces-
sively-high wind loads put on
individual teeth of the zipper.
Wind gusts exceeding the maximum
speed that the Event Tent is certi-
fied for can lead to structural da-
mage to the Tent that is not cove-
red by the warranty.
CAUTION: If weather con-
ditions deteriorate dramatically,
all overpressure valves must be
opened immediately and the
tent deflated.
Additionally, the deflated Tent
should be weighted down in order
to prevent the wind from taking hold
of it.
OPERATION
• The inflatable X GLOO Event Tent
is not intended for continuous use
and should be inspected for wear
or damage after every event.
CAUTION: The protective
strips on the bottom of the
Tubes can wear down when
the Event Tent is set up on
rough terrain and wind causes
the Tent to shift around, and
should therefore be regularly
checked for wear and replaced
as necessary before the Tubes
themselves become damaged.
• X GLOO Tents are not intended to
bear large snow loads.
CAUTION: In case of
snowfall the accumulating
snow must be regularly remo-
ved from the Roof of the Tent.
If the Tent is unattended and
snowfall is called for, then the
Tent is to be deflated.
• All X GLOO Tents are made of cer-
tified flame-retardant materials.
Nevertheless, these are flammable
substances which burn when the
source of fire is suciently strong.
CAUTION: Keep the Event
Tent away from open fires and
heat sources.
• Fire protection classification
(see available X GLOO certificates):
- DIN 4102-B1 (Abb.: B1) Controls
testing and requirements on the
reaction to fire of building mate-
rials. German norm, used in most
European countries.
Continued on the next page...

X GLOO ® | Windeckstr. 4 | 83250 Marquartstein | GERMANY8
- CPAI 84-95, Section 6 Specifica-
tion of the American Association
of Sailcloth Materials for the as-
sessment of flame-retardant
materials used in (event-) tents.
The certification according to
CPAI 84 fulfills the international
requirements for flame resistan-
ce in tent products and includes
similar test criteria like DIN 4102-
B1 or NFP 92501-7M2. Although X
GLOO Event Tents are is in use
worldwide at tradeshows and
events, we reserve the right not
to certify the tent according to
the national norms of each
country.
CAUTION: The Event Tent
can be damaged when sharp
objects (e.g. knives, tools)
penetrate the Tubes, leading
to leakage and loss of pressure.
Handle with appropriate care.
• Keep all valves free of sand and
dirt particles, and clean them
when necessary in order to pre-
vent faulty operation and
pressure loss.
• Extreme variations in temperature
(day and night) or long-term con-
tinued use can lead to loss of air
pressure through the overpressure
valves requiring the reinflation of
the Tubes.
Procedure in the case of pressure
loss:
• FIRST be sure that all valves are
closed TIGHTLY!
• If pressure loss continues, blow out
the overpressure valves to remove
all dust or dirt particles.
• If pressure loss still continues, we
recommend removing and repla-
cing the bladder as a damaged
bladder is likely the cause.
- If the damage to the bladder is
visible and the length of dama-
ge is smaller than 1 cm, then ap-
ply the adhesive repair patch
(included in the XG-series repair
kit).
- If the damaged area cannot be
found, spray some soapy water
onto the inflated bladder surfa-
ce so that the escaping air bub-
bles are visible and the damage
can be located. Alternatively,
the tube can be partially filled
with water so that the escaping
water drops can be seen when
the bladder is inflated.
STORAGE
• Avoid pressure spots (e.g. do not
lean on the Event Tent with your
knees while folding it) and storing
the Event Tent under heavy ob-
jects.
CAUTION: The Event Tent
must be stored in a dry location
and at temperatures below 40°
celsius.
Doing otherwise can cause the
coating to become damaged and
the waterproofness lost.
CAUTION: The Event Tent
must not be packed and stored
when damp or wet.
Packing the Tent while damp can
lead to mold spots and discolora-
tion. In particular, the color on any
dye-sublimation/digitally-printed
parts could rub o if stored while
damp.
• Folding the Tent and Components
at temperatures below 0° celsius
can lead to damage. Take special

Tel: +49(0) 8641 6948 - 60 | xgloo.com | info@xgloo.com 9
care with the Window Walls in low
temperatures and pack them ca-
refully.
• Never store the Event Tent in an
automobile in direct sunlight. The
intense heat can cause the
Window Walls to stick together
irreversibly or may cause perma-
nent damage to the materials.
MAINTENANCE,
CLEANING, REPAIR
• Maintenance and repairs should
be carried out only by X GLOO or
by an authorized X GLOO Service
Center.
• The X GLOO Event Tent should be
periodically inspected for chafe
marks and damage and promptly
repaired.
CAUTION: Damage to the
Tube material can, in extreme
cases, result in a burst Tube,
even at operating pressure!
• Dirty/soiled Tents can be cleaned.
In order to avoid damage to the
material coating, remove dirt and
stains using only warm water (or a
mild soapy solution if necessary),
and a cloth or soft brush. Do not
use solvents, washing machines or
steam cleaning!
• Re-waterproofing is not possible.
MATERIALS
• All of the materials currently imple-
mented in the inflatable X GLOO
Event Tent have been subjected
to extensive material testing.
• Nevertheless, through intense UV
exposure (for example at high alti-
tudes or when set up outdoors for
a very long time) the color of the
material may change (fade). It is
impossible to predict when this
fading becomes visible, due to the
dierent influencing parameters.
White material also tends to yel-
low through UV exposure, as well
as exposure to dust and dirt.
• The materials used are waterproof,
and the necessary seams are sea-
led with sealing tape. Neverthe-
less, water can penetrate the Tent
in heavy, driving rain or during pro-
longed precipitation, particularly
where Tunnel Parts or other Com-
ponents are connected.
CAUTION: Electrical/elec-
tronic equipment and other
moisture-sensitive inventory
must be protected from water
penetration, and their use is at
the discretion and risk of the
user.

1 LAY OUT THE TENT
Spread out the Event Tent in the area intended for set
up. Try to make sure that the Tube ends are positioned
approximately where you want them once the tent is
inflated. This way you can avoid having to reposition or
handle the tent again.
XG 8 ONLY: Zip in the Middle Walls
Since the entrance height of an assembled XG 8
Event Tent is very high, we recommend zipping in
the Middle Walls before inflating the tent.
PLEASE NOTE: Only the outer side of the
Middle Walls are equipped with a Zipper Rain
Cover. If you choose to attach the Middle Walls
with the outer side facing inwards (so that a logo
printed on the outside is visible from the inside
of the tent, for example), the waterproof quality
of the tent in the area of the zipper cannot be
guaranteed.

2 PREPARE THE VALVES
The valve consists of the socket ring, (1) which is attached
to the bladder, and a screw-on housing (2) with attached
protective cap (3).
The housing must be tightened securely to the socket ring
before inflation (4). The backstroke valve inside the hou-
sing prevents air from escaping. To deflate, simply unscrew
the housing from the socket ring.
PLEASE NOTE:There is one red overpressure
valve (5) on each Tube located beside the valve.
The overpressure valve opens automatically as
soon as the Tubes reach the maximal pressure.
The function of each overpressure valve should
be tested before inflation. To do this, unscrew the
housing and make sure that the spring can be
pushed in.
PLEASE NOTE: Sand and dirt can clog the
spring and overpressure valve so that the function
is negatively influenced.

3 INFLATE
3.1 Connect the hose to the pump and then insert the
other end of the hose into the valve on one of the
Tubes.
3.2 First inflate two Tubes opposite one another to
form a 180° semicircle (a).
3.3 Next inflate the Tube laying on top of and between
the two inflated Tubes. This Tube will begin to rise
o of the ground (b).
3.4 Now you can inflate the final Tube.
XG 8 ONLY: When inflating the XG 8 it is recommen-
ded to work with two people. One person lifts the
tube intersection at the middle of the Roof, setting
the fork of the setup support bar directly under one
of the Tubes in the area of the tube intersection (c).
The second person operates the pump, repositio-
ning it as necessary as the Tubes inflate.
3.5 Screw the protective caps closed after inflating the
Tubes to prevent dirt from entering.
3.6 If the Tubes have been inflated correctly, the Event
Tent will stand in a stable and wrinkle-free position.
All four Tubes can now moved by hand to the final
position.
3.7 Finally, anchor the Event Tent using one or more of
the methods as described on pages 14-17.
3.2: Inflate two Tubes opposite one another

ANCHORING WITH TUBE BALLASTS
(WATER OR SAND)
Each Tube Ballast Set includes four ballasts. The bal-
lasts can be filled with water or sand/gravel and then
connected to the inside or the outside of the tent Tubes
by using the two clips on each ballast.
Filling with water
1 Open the velcro on the ballast cover and pull out the
inner water bladder until the fill valve is visible (a).
2 Included in the Tube Ballast Set are a hose and va-
rious faucet adapters. Attach the hose to the faucet
using the correct adapter (b).
3 Open the fill valve, insert the other end of the hose
and fill with water (c).
4 Once full, remove the hose from the water bladder and
close the fill valve and the velcro on the ballast cover.
5 Connect the Tube Ballasts to the clips on the Tube
ends (d). When doing so, be sure that the rub-
ber-coated side of each ballast is facing down.
6 Tighten the straps on the clips so that the ballasts
prevent the tent from rising—this provides the best
stability.
Filling with sand/gravel
PLEASE NOTE:Inside of each ballast is a wa-
ter bladder (a) for use when filling the ballasts with
water. If you choose to fill the ballasts with sand or
gravel, you must first remove the water bladder so
it does not become damaged.
Connecting multiple Tube Ballasts
To secure your Event Tent in stronger wind conditions,
multiple ballasts can be attached to each Tube. Posi-
tion the ballasts side-by-side and connect them to
each other using the toggles (e). Then connect one clip

ANCHORING WITH WATER BALLAST
BARRELS
The Water Ballast Barrels can be used as anchors for your
inflatable X GLOO Event Tent, as seating, or as both.
To fill
1 Open the two valve covers on the Ballast Barrel.
Make sure that the check valve at the bottom of the
Barrel is closed so that no water or air can escape
when filling (a). Push open the check valve at the
top of the barrel so that air can escape.
2 Connect the included hose to the valve at the base
of the barrel and fill with the desired amount of wa-
ter (up to 80L). To give the Barrel a cleaner appea-
rance, the remaining space can be then filled with
air using one of our Electric Pumps. Connect the
hose provided with the Ballast Barrels to the Pump
in place of the Pump‘s yellow hose.
3 Disconnect the hose from the Barrel and make sure
that both valves are tightly closed.
4 With the help of an assistant, carry the Ballast Bar-
rel to your tent location by lifting it by the handles.
Or, if you are on your own, tip the barrel onto its
edge and roll it.
Connecting to your inflatable X GLOO Event Tent
Ballast Barrels are connected to the Event Tent by use
of an included shackel. Whether connecting one or two
Ballast Barrels to each Tube, use the shackle to attach
the eyelet at the base of each Ballast Barrel directly to
the anchoring ring at the base of the Tube (b).
Digitally-Printed Cover (c)
The Ballast Barrels can be uniquely branded through the
use of the Digitally-Printed Cover. Simply slip the cover
over the Barrel and close the zipper.
To empty
To empty the Ballast Barrel, simply unscrew the
lower valve cover and push open the check valve.

vel and then connected to the Wall using the attached
toggles (c).
Filling with water
1 Open the velcro on the ballast cover and pull out the
inner water bladder until the fill valve is visible.
2 Included with each Wall Ballast are a hose and vari-
ous faucet adapters. Attach the hose to the faucet
using the correct adapter (a).
3 Open the fill valve, insert the other end of the hose
and fill with water (b).
4 Once full, remove the hose from the water bladder
and close the fill valve and the velcro on the ballast
cover.
5 Using the four toggles, connect the Wall Ballast to
the large grommets at the base of the Wall (c). When
doing so, be sure that the rubber-coated side of the
ballast is facing down. Multiple Wall Ballasts are re-
commended for securing Walls on XG 5, XG 6, and
XG 8-model tents.
PLEASE NOTE:The function of the Wall Bal-
lasts is to reduce the risk of damage to the tent
Walls and zippers through exposure to high winds.
They are not intended to replace the Tube Ballasts,
Water Ballast Barrels, or Anchoring Sets as a me-
ans to anchor the Event Tent.
Filling with sand
PLEASE NOTE:Inside each Ballast is a water
bladder for use when filling the Ballasts with water.
If you choose to fill the Ballasts with sand or gravel,

the middle of the Wall and gather each side together.
On each side of the Entrance Wall you will find a toggle
on a length of cord. Fasten each side by inserting the
toggle through the loop of cord across from it (a).
Folding down the Walls (b)
To secure a Wall in a half-open / folded position and
prevent it from completely opening, the zipper slider pul-
ler on each side of the Wall can be fixed to the small
velcro strip on the inside of the Roof (c).
Preventing strain/damage to the Wall zippers
If the Walls are exposed to high pressure (if the Event
Tent is set up in an area with high winds for example),
the zipper will bear the strain. This is especially true for
where the zippers are attached at the base of the Roof.
To relieve strain to the zippers and to avoid damage to
the Event Tent or the Walls, you will find straps and bu-
ckles located at the base of each Wall. Connect these
to the webbing loops provided on the Tube ends (d).
Tighten each strap until the tension on the zipper is
relieved (e).

TUNNEL PART
The Tunnel Part makes it possible to connect two infla-
table X GLOO Event Tents to one another. Tunnel Parts
are available for connecting Event Tents of dierent
sizes, and for connecting Event Tents of the same size.
The Tunnel Part is zipped on between the Tents in place
of a Side Wall (a).
CANOPY AND CANOPY BANNER
The Canopy can increase the covered area of the in-
flatable X GLOO Event Tent. To attach it, first prepare
the two upper battens by connecting the two ends
together (b). Insert the upper battens into the two slee-
ves built into the Canopy (c) by first opening the velcro
found on one end of the sleeve. Close the velcro tab
after each batten is installed.
After the upper battens are inserted, attach the Cano-
py to the Event Tent, making sure that the battens are
on the underside of the Canopy.
Finally, make sure the cover for the overpressure valve is
firmly closed and then inflate the Front Tube. While in-
flating, lift the Front Tube to allow air to enter the full
length.
PLEASE NOTE: The overpressure valve opens
automatically as soon as maximum pressure is
achieved.
The Canopy Banner (d) can now be attached (if using)
using the zippers at the upper part of the Front Tube
(XG 5 and XG 6 models only).
ROOF BANNER
The Roof Banner (e) increases the covered area of the
Event Tent and also serves as a prominant branding
surface (XG 5 and XG 6 models only). To attach the Roof
Banner, simply connect it to the Event Tent as descri-
bed on page 18 under ‚Attaching the Walls‘.
