2. Summary of TransAcousticTM Technology
■Characteristics of TransAcousticTM Technology
・Since the sound comes directly from the soundboard, you do not need to connect the speakers.
・There is no need for maintenance and periodic adjustment.

*Measurement by calibration mode or data trancefer is required when replacing each unit.
The newly developed TransAcousticTM Technology transmits digital sounds directly to the piano soundboard and
makes the piano sound as speakers itself.
Due to environmental change, the soundboard repeatedly expands and contracts, therefore the TD Shaft is
required to change the three-dimensional motion in accordance with the movement of the soundboard.
However, if replacement of parts are required, such as malfunction of the TD ASSY, please execute the work in
accordance with the "11.TD ASSY replacement procedure (Page 10)".
The TransAcoustic Piano is set in accordance with the individual differences of the pianos in the factory during
production. Adjustment is required when a part is replaced. Please refer to "10. PEQ data migration of SWBOX
replacement (Page 8)" for more information.
PEQ data = TA mode EQ Calibration data
The function of 'TransAcousticTM Technology' is to produce sound by driving the sound board using the trance-
actuator. So each piano has its unique characteristic of frequency. The PEQ data is used to adjust the
characteristic.
The data is saved in the SWBOX unit.
If the PEQ data is lost or other's PEQ data is mis-loaded, there is a possibility that you cannot play normally (ex.
there is uneven velocity sound between the keys).
Soundboard and device (TD ASSY) for vibrating the sound board have been attached with a connecting rod,
called "TD Shaft Assy". The TD ASSY vibrates the TD Shaft Assy, then the vibration is transmitted to the
soundboard.
