Assembly of profile set „CSX-11 DCPLR“ to RIEDEL DCP-1016E from year of
manufacture 2006
Important: All procedures described in the following have been carried out and tested by us. Nevertheless we do
not guarantee for errors nor completeness and do not take over liability of any consequences arising out of
following these instructions.
“CSX-11 DCPLR” profile set is mounted permanently to a RIEDEL DCP-1016E. It is needed as mechanical base
to assemble a CSX-11.
Required modifications of DCP1016E
1. Two holes D=4,5mm in front panel
2. Two holes with insert nuts M3 in chassis hood
3. Two countersinks D=6mm in rear panel
Procedures:
A. Holes in front panel
two holes D=4,5mm
30,7mm from top edge, 7mm from side edge
B. Coutersinks on rear panel
Remove the two (raised head) screws on the back panel and apply countersinks with an outer diameter of 6mm as
shown above. Replace both screws by the countersunk head screws supplied with the profile set.
Reason: The originally mounted (raised head) screws would get in the way when mounting the profiles.

C. Provisional assembly of profile set in order to mark the drillings in chassis hood
Mount left and right profile with M4x10
screws (1) as shown in the pictures.
Make sure to leave a gap between back
panel and profile (refer to picture below)
Now mark the drilling in the chassis hood
using the hole in the profile (2) as a
reference
D. Disassembly of chassis hood
First disassemble the profiles.
Then remove all screws which hold the chassis hood: 5 screws on back panel, 3 screws below front panel.
Remove the chassis hood.

E. Drillings in chassis hood and mounting of insert nuts
Drill the holes which you marked at step C. with drill diameter 4,2mm. Then insert the two M3 nuts on the inside of
the chassis as shown in the picture.
Note: In case a tool for inserting the M3 nuts is not available, you might insert the nuts using the profiles, a M3
washer with a large outer diameter and a (hardened steel) M3 screw.
Place a profile on the outside of the chassis hood, put the screw with the washer through the hole in the profile
and slowing tighten the screw. Be careful not to damage the profile surface, the use of two washers can reduce
the risk, but not exclude it.
F. Reassembly of chassis hood
Reassemble the chassis hood. Mind to replace two screws by countersunk head screws (refer to B).
G. Final assembly of profiles
First fit the two M4x10 screws which you already used in Cto fix the
profiles to the front panel. Do not yet tighten these screws.
Then use the two M3x16 screws (enclosed with the set) to fix the profiles
to the chassis hood. In order not to damage the surface of the profiles you
might use the (also enclosed) plastic washers.
Alternately tighten the M4 and M3 screws, while checking the correct
positioning of the profiles, also mind the gap as described at C.
